Patch 1.2.3 Bugs List

    Stuck on Loading screen (again), have shut it down and retried 9 times, got to the "Play" button.
    Loading the game, and has been for ELEVEN minutes, and still waiting.
    The screen is flickering, and tearing, as I have dual screens, I opened a browser and moved it to my game screen, it does not flicker, just the game.
    (hells teeth, what idiots run these patches?)

    Here's some observations I made on another thread I created:

    The first big thing I noticed is that my in game "announcements" don't seem to be working anymore. Any new POI I discover, skill that get raised, public dungeon or world boss killed, no announcement. It is logging said things (map fills in, I can see skill raised when I open up my skill lines), but no announcing.

    Also, after killing three straight world bosses and two public dungeons, I got zero loot off any of them. Not even a soulgem. This doesn't seem right.

    I also noticed that the light armor sash doesn't seem to be able to be created anymore? Did the new Jerkin displace the light sash somehow lol?

    Was just hoping to start a thread were maybe we could all include the strangeness we've encountered thus far, so the Devs have a list of somekind :)

    My Snakeblood passive for Alchemy doesn't seem to be working. My negative pots are hurting now.

    All this begs the question of whether ZOS even does basic regression testing on anything prior to pushing code live. Whoever is doing the testing on changes needs to be fired. Or, alternatively, sent to proverbial Siberia to shovel **** with their hands.

    Hmmm, now I am being sent to a wayshrine away from my quest fight rather than the nearby respawn pedestal, which is a bit inconvenient when combined with the current bouts of lag. Not sure why the respawn point is failing. Sent a report.

    Edit: Well, a turn-around. My companion showed up the next time, fought well, and I swept through the opposition. Not only that, but the combat lag started working against the mobs, not me. I was able to walk away from a rogue and watch his slow motion rapid strikes, which looked like some kind of strange eighties punk dance move, all while doing a ranged attack :) Still, whichever side is being affected, the lag still pops up really bad every so often. I am guessing it will reasonably take some time to get it resolved and that bug fixers are working on it. In any case, those trying to get into the game should be ready for it.

    It used to be whenever I went into my inventory, looked at a map, or even typed something into the chat box (I.e. anything that caused the mouse to appear on the screen) you could just left click on the screen and have the game switch back to the in game target reticle and allow you to look around and target again. Nice and smooth, never even had to let go of the mouse.

    Since this patch, however, I can't do that anymore. The game is stuck with a mouse cursor on the screen until I either hit escape several times, use the toggle button ".", or use WASD to move my character around a bit. I can click as much as I like, but the game is effectively frozen with a mouse cursor until I do one of the above actions. Needless to say when I'm in the middle of checking my inventory and something suddenly attacks me, I'm defenseless for several seconds until I get my targeting reticle back in the game.

    Please fix this. I don't know what this patch did, but this issue is already annoying (and dangerous) after only 20 minutes of gameplay.

    Can't stand it, please revert to the old behavior or provide a toggle!

    Rapid Manoeuvres no longer boosts speed while mounted. The trailing green lights still appear, but my speed remains the same. It still boosts speed while on foot, though. Unless I missed something in the patch notes saying this is intended, new bug.

    Seems like all unfinished achievements for bosses in public dungeons were reset. I did Obsidian Scar last week with few friends, but we missed Glazgor so decided to come back later. Now all bosses are greyed out...For me and others, and we only missed this one.

    Had quite few unfinished conquerors, all shows 0 kills now. Completed ones remains unchanged.

    Not sure if this is intended or not: On VR maps, mobs break CC and become immune subsequently. So far this has occurred with humanoid mobs for me only.

    I have a lot of problems with fps drops all over the tamriel . In second from 40 fps it goes like 5 fpd and still no apparent reason .

    they added an achiev for complete collection of skyshards in game. I have them all in every single zone but the achiev says i haven't completed a single zone, even do i have an achievement for skyshards in every single zone.

    Add getting stuck/immobilized randomly after or towards end of combat. Can't move feet but can still use weapons, abilities, eat/drink, mount horse. Only logging out/in or traveling fixes it.

    Edit: Thought it was just my NB but happened with DK as well today.

    Hi I'm trying to set up key binding for my mouse but the game won't recognize any other button other than left and right clic. Is this a bug form this patch or maybe I'm doing something wrong. Just want to check.

    Also middle button (MMB) won't work anymore with my old mouse.

    Here are a list of things that I have come across:

    - Bosses not recognizing UI scripting and hitting you through things they shouldn't be able to.
    - Announcements no longer function for XP increases, lorebooks, or achievements, even though it does appear I am accumulating XP.
    - Ability to attack in the middle of battle suddenly quits for no reason. Ability to block at the same time is hit and miss leaving you exposed and dead very soon in Vet levels.
    - Whatever change they made is the FPS is now giving me a headache within half an hour of game play. I used to be able to play this for four hours straight and no headache or eye strain .

    Far too many characters to list any more.

    I just had the combat bug. Ended up dead; couldn't reloadui or anything.

    I get headaches sometimes when I play too long. I've found that playing in 3rd person is much easier on my eyes than 1st person (no idea which you use). I also use Gunnar glasses which have helped a lot as well.

    I have now developed another issue.. after defeating the murky hag I can no longer spring.. my horse can no longer sprint and when I walk. I am only walking at less than half speed.

    /reloadui didn't work.

    I had to completely shut down the game and client and reload.

    Also.. why the heck doesn't the armour you find in barrels have any value to them?? What's the point of putting them in there if we can't sell them. Decon'ing them is pointless at Vet levels, they give so little experience.
    Also recipes and crafting materials have no value when selling to a merchant. That's lame.

    I've had to shut down the client more after the last 2 patches than the entire time playing beta, head start, and since launch.

    I think I recall reading that armor was added for RP reasons. IMO they should add armor to barrels etc. only in the game spawn area so you can begin leveling the skills before you finish the tutorial & that's it. After that, I understand why they might let you grab a piece laying on a table but to put them in crates/barrels is just more useless loot we have to sort through. It seems they are selling out to immersion despite player desires or the fun factor.

    I haven't paid attention since this latest patch but I think recipes sell for 9g. Some recipe materials have value & some don't. I won't pretend to understand why they did it like that.

    Edit: It just dawned on me that there needs to be something to steal when the Thieves Guild is put into the game. Maybe that's why all the white gear/weapons were put into barrels,etc. /shrug.

    Farlivere's Gambit Quest is bugged.. When you go to "Find the Hostages" in the basement of the house, they aren't there, even though the quest marker is. /reloadui didn't work.

    @GhostwalkerLD I have had this problem appear randomly for about a week before the patch. When it first occurs, then it happens on every map/inventory/etc opening and only way to get rid of it is reloging (and then it's possible that it happens again later on and you need to relog again)

    • Flurry's first 5 hits go against spell resistance, not armor
    • "Hundings Rage" set does not effect the last hit of Flurry
    • The "Rage" weapon glyph now gives 2 weapon damage, instead of the old 17
    • all "Rage" weapon glyphs have the same value of 2, no matter what quality
    • PvP set Axe "Rage" enchant now gives 4 instead of 36 weapon power (Legendary)
    • The "Rage" glyphs do not "proc" using DW skills, despite what the patch notes state
    • Only the main hand weapon glyph does proc on DW skill use, the offhand glyph does not trigger, despite the animation clearly showing that both weapons hit
    • "Flurry" does not have a 1.3s channel time as stated
    • "Siphon Spirit" does not have a 1s cast time as stated
    • The "Bleeding" status effect from passives can not critical strike or stack, like the "Burning" status effect.

    Since this patch i have a SOUND problem.
    In fact i have no sound at all starting at character selection screen and then in game too.
    Tryed the repair, but nothing.
    I have a win7 x64 OS.

    Yup i have also problem in PVP when frames drop to 5-10 when had before 30-40. So cant play anymore PVP before them find fix.

    Dragon knight ability burning talons now costs magicka to cast even if no target is hit.

    Map icons in craglorn are missing. Going back to areas does not discover them again.

    Some wayshrines have been removed from the map icons as well making them untransitable to, but not from.

    Can no longer port to trials area.

    Heaps of combat lag!
    Traveling and generally looking about is fine, as soon as I enter combat........lags badly.
    Nice if we could get this fixed, I'm finding it extremely difficult to find quests that DON'T require combat!

    This is the same issue I'm having and described in my post as well. I know it seems minor but it makes the game unplayable when it happens. Only started happening for me with the patch.

    Previously it would randomly jump out of reticle and into cursor (which was annoying) but the keybind to go back to cursor always worked fine. It is no longer working consistently (or at all).

    Attention Zenimax: Stamina builds don't hold up to magicka builds, and this is causing most of your class imbalance. It makes melee weapons and bows weaker than staves and class abilities. It makes medium and heavy armor less desirable than light armor. Fix this imbalance, and you'll address most of your balance issues.

    My total armour stat has dropped a whopping 500 points after the patch. Was sitting at a nice 1978~ overcharged with only 5 pieces of heavy, and 2 light. My spell resist was around 1600's.

    Logging in after the patch I checked my stats and saw it lowered to 1470~ and my spell resist shot up to 1701! At veteran rank 8 this isnt very acceptable for heavy, maybe for medium, but certainly not for heavy.

    I even respec'd twice to see if the heavy armour perks were working at all and it doesn't look like it. So blew around 28k just to check this.


    *Side note - I am a Nord Templar, so I did lose the the extra % of armour in exchange for the barely noticable incoming-damage reduction, but no way could it have been that much of a loss. I severely disbelieve that nords had that much of an armour advantage.
