There is an announcement on the top of every page that says maintenance will not happen at its regular times. I am sure once they know exactly when the servers are going down for the patch, we will hear it here and on other official media pages first .

ACTUALLY, the way she worded it, it isn't set in stone yet, they are just trying to get it done for tomorrow. Once it is official (which granted, likely won't be until tomorrow morning) it will be posted here since anything they post here would be "official"

✭✭In all fairness, this is the official forum. This should be the first forum that any and all relevant information gets posted on. Negative feedback is certainly not a valid reason for them to do otherwise. There is. Negative feedback on reddit as well.
That being said, at least the info is out there. I am personally much more concerned with the content of the patch than I am about who hears it first.8 -

Probably the only place on the internet with a worse layout is reddit which is where they post. They also seem to make changes based on the feedback they get from reddit. I'm not sure why they love that place so much.4 -

✭✭Kari, they are the folks who create the content; ignoring you own forum, even if you have a lot of whiners on it, is not the answer.
They need to push their presence on the forum, not hide from trolls. I totally get that some of the negativity is a pain and that " OH no my nightblade, stamina build, healer cannot go manno a manno with a VR12 titan!!!!" nonsense.
The Forum is their tool to interact with us. If they can't be arsed using it as some of them prefer twitter or facebook etc, then they deserve to fail

Actually it would be nice to see MORE of the ZOS posts in the "Official News & Patch notes" MORE often. I see LOTS of updates by the Community REP team spread out across the forums, but not a lot of focused "FYI" Communication in the spot you would think it should be posted.
I had to go OPEN the Road Ahead update or PTS notes to view the changes, and then the latest update by Jessica I think was made in a Templar post as well this weekend.
I disagree that they are not communicating ENOUGH, but instead we have plenty of communication and it just needs to be focused in a specific area (Official News to me would be that area). Keep up the good work ZOS Rep team! Might want to tweak posts (Not everyone goes to Redit, Facebook, Twitter) - Call me old school, but most that stuff I don't pull in my gaming posts for privacy issues.5 -

kitsinni✭✭✭✭✭I kind of think it is funny that a major game update is still "tenative" less than 24 hours before they plan to push it out on a non-patch day and they don't think it is worth mentioning on their own forums.
If it is tenative there is something you are not sure about so why not just get it right before pushing it out. Anything that makes you not sure you can test until Thursday and push it during the scheduled time.2 -

I just hope it won't be the same bugfest as 1.1.2 patch.. I really hope they've learned their lesson there, and won't try to lose any more subs because of that. We really don't want to see the game messed up even more than before patch.4 -

These forums are more toxic than Molag Bal's breath.
Almost every thread here can be summarized as follows:
- Zomg, you are teh failz! There's nothing wrong with the game! L2P nub. I is fanboi #1.
- This is why I unsubbed. Although I'm unsubbed, I will continue to visit and post on the official ESO forums to complain, offering no constructive input of my own.
- My post is completely off-topic, but I feel I must post and complain about my problem. Yes, the same problem I started ten threads and biased polls about and have hijacked every thread I can to complain about.
- I'm too timid to post, therefore I will change the meaning of LOL and hit that button instead in the hopes that the poster will catch my sneering derision through the Internet.
