Can you please stop trying to talk about things you have no idea about... I already explained million times why this is not a choice people do intentionally.

It occurs to me that people that are saying its ok... are just people who don't give a damn about this problem anyway.
    • You intentionally chose not to do that quest when it was available.
    • You continued playing to a point where going back to "do" the quest (out of order) didn't make any sense from a point of story/questline continuity.
    • You never bothered to even look at your Journal to see what quest achievements are tied to what areas, quests, etc.
Simply put, there's no "game-breaking logic" here, as you claim. Don't blame your intentional choices on ZOS when you don't like the consequences of your own (in)action.

How could game could give you achievement for rescuing people if YOU chose not to save them? It's not so hard to check what achievements you can get in zone and what to do to get them, especially if you care about them.

Guys I don't think you are familiar with how MMO work at all. What are you saying applies to single player games but not to the MMO. Achievements in MMO games cannot be broken by player choices if they do its not an achievement.

Majuro again you don't know what you are talking about.. You say I intentionally chose not to do a quest when it was available. This is wrong I didn't know there was a quest to save Geilund becaouse I never encountered his wife's house prior to making a choice to evacuate.

Lettigall Shortly after i sow the achievement I came back and was able to save few people i didn't save before. What stops me from saving that last guy? Nothing as long as devs just make finding his wife that gives quest available.

So after I did that i realized that there is a Find Bleakrock’s Missing People achievement. I am not able to finish this achievement now as a veteran and it pisses me off. Support guys are not helping me. So I am going to write one message to you in game a day until you fix this!

Does that emphasis proves I knew about another quest connected with that one? I think it clearly shows I didn't. In my mind I was just completing one quest business as usual. There are PLENTY of quests in game you can complete early with persuade or intimidate and it won't result in loss of an achievement.

This is poor game design I don't know why do you waste your time defending it.

You do realize that MMO Achievements in their entirety do not suffer from consequences of user actions. It's not my opinion it's a fact and I am sure once people from ZaniMax look at this they will correct it.

I only failed this achievement because i wasn't expecting a thing like this to happen and that comes from a person that completed all the quests in WoW, SWTOR, and some Rift and Guild Wars 1-2. Things like this just never happen achievements wise.

If helps, will be terrible painful to acquire all achievements. I went with that mind and got ***. I play DPS and there's an achievement for healing, sure I pull some heals once a while, but it reads 10,000,000 damage healed. I think might cost me the whole life to achieve that. Much said, they should definately make achievements account wide.

Good luck getting your achievement. The quest journal specifically gives you the OPTIONAL tracker of "Tell Captain Rana to evacuate early" Which disappears once you rescue everyone (which will also give the achievement). And for someone who has "completed all the quests in WoW, SWTOR, and some Rift and Guild Wars 1-2" as you like to put, this is your own fault for NOT "completing every quest in ESO" Would you complain about not receiving the quest achievements for each zone because you didn't complete them all? And if you want to get into even further detail, Cadwell, upon giving you the almanac quests, tells you to live through the eyes of the other faction. So since you wanted to RP your character, you should have RPd as someone who would want to save everyone off that island, instead of being a loyal servant to Aryenn as you like to put.

I have to agree with OP. I also was not able to finish this, not because i was RPing, but because the quest giver for geilund was nowhere to be found. I went inside the house as well as all around the outside area, could not find her. so I thought maybe she was somewhere else. (In fact, she was probably underground like many other bugged quest triggers) So I unwittingly completed the questline not knowing I couldn't go back, as i could in every other quest i've done. For me this is a major flaw. Especially since I don't usually just do the required number of quests to get the achievement, I usually go above and beyond doing as many as are available. This is my main doing second tier vr content as well.

I don't understand you people you played to much Skyrim... There are no MMO on this planet that has an achievement that you can't complete.

Why are you able to comeback and some all people but one if they all "Died"?. Originally I saved 2 out of 8-9 or something. I came back and saved 8 out of 9. My point is nothing stops me from coming back and saving the 9th guy.

cfriedman71ub17_ESO I think this people just don't care about this at all... All they do is gloat. Thank you for your help TSO community.

I honestly don't care if you get an achievement or not. It's inconsequential to the fact that there are a vast minority of quests like this in the game so they probably should be explained to the mmo players better than currently.

Having significant warnings, double redundant positive response required optional quest completing dialog and clear achievement requirements are not enough. These quests should come with an e policing warning in the questgiver text that says if you skip ahead and don't finish this quest right now in order it may result in a pearl being made.

    /feedback copy paste done.

So... You didn't save the villagers because you are a loyal to queen ayrenn, and didn't mind the villagers dying. And yet the moment you found out there was an achievement, throwing a temper tantrum demanding redo or give you an achievement?

You should've "done the right thing" by saving the villagers, did you forgettthe fact that you were on ebonheart pact quests? I don't think there's a chance you'll get an achievement unless zenimax come up with an achievement called "heartless *** who let villagers die"

Just think of it as you sacrificed an achievement for your queen ayrenn.

I must say tho, that I am in favor of achievements being account wide. Add a couple that take this into account (higher kill counts, finished all options, done on x / all chars, etc) and you'd have still a very interesting system. Not to forget achievements are rather player centric than character centric anyways.

Character bound achievements only may force people into making decision not really fitting to their characters, just for completions sake. Having the opportunity to get the achievement for your account on another char would help with that.

Guys it's not about making choices.... Please you have to understand that out of all the achievements in the game this is only one you can't get if you follow certain path.

It's not about this choice or that choice. It's about One achievement being flawed. I would understand if the game had large amount of achievements like this but this is one case. And since this case is isolated I assume the developers themselves would want to correct this.

Look through quest achievements for all factions you will see you can get every one of them no matter what!

It's not my fault I didn't know the evacuation would block one quest from being completed by me later. No matter what you are always able to come back and do any achievement. That how it is in any MMO and that's how it should be.

Sounds like a small gripe to me.

not to me, because arent the armor dye's rewards for completion of achievements?

Maybe i was lucky, but i was in the closed beta around 5-6 times. So i played every faction twice and i already knew what was required for achievments before the game was launched.

But yes, i have a friend who is missing the achievment for Bleakrock, and he is indeed not liking how this one achievment is done.

That is why, i go through the achievments list several times, even after having over 12 characters created (and a lot deleted) since launch, just to be safe than sorry on what to do in each area, zone and quest.

I agree, they should had made it much easier/tweaked it though.

You made your decision, learn to live with the consequences .. I love that some decisions actually DO have consequences, kind of refreshing when most other games hold your hand and don't let you make a 'wrong' choice.

I get it... you don't care.. and please stop speaking on the topic that you don't understand clearly.

    1) I wasn't offered a choice.

    2) Even if we follow your way of thinking and you get an achievement for one choice then why don't you get an achievement for the other choice? Isn't this taking a way the whole choice thing? Besides in this game there are no choices tired to achievements but this.

If you cared about getting achievements at all you would understand whats going on here.
My comprehension is fine thanks, you're complaining that you made a bad choice and now want someone to make it all right again .. my kids do that, I'm well aware of the scenario.

You WERE offered the choice, the OPTIONAL objectives were listed, you CHOSE not to do them.

Fairydragon3 I am sure support can inform devs about this particular issue so I am not wasting anyone's time. Have you ever heard about technical support?

Technical support is when there is actually something that can be done to the hardware, not the code. And I wouldn't assume that the issue was passed to feedback unless you were told it was. There is a reason there are different commands. /help /feedback /bug all go to different teams. So you are a least wasting some time making the support team(/help) to send issues to the other teams, when you can do that as well. BTW /feedback and /bug, you get no answer back. for the sole fact it means there is NOTHING that they can do to fix it for you then and there. This issue would require a content update patch. Will need to take time to test the new code and then take down the server to implement it.

@Fairydragon3 you need to learn to show some respect... I noticed a problem and came to it point out on forums ain't nothing wrong with that. There are plenty discussions like this. MMO's are large projects and having additional feedback here and there is not hurting anyone.

Seems like you just waste your time explaining what everyone already knows.
