Game breaking Logic.

So yesterday I got to veteran rank one and I started doing the Ebonheart Pact quests. Being a loyal queen Ayrenn eye when they asked me to look for villagers or evacuate and let them die my thought process was like this. Hey more Ebonheart Pact pigs gonna Die? Hell yea...

So after I did that i realized that there is a Find Bleakrock’s Missing People achievement. I am not able to finish this achievement now as a veteran and it pisses me off. Support guys are not helping me. So I am going to write one message to you in game a day until you fix this!

So, what youre saying is that you would have helped the Ebonheart Pact pigs, allowing them to live to possibly kill your people in the future, if you had known there would be personal gain involved in doing so...? And you call yourself a loyal Queen Ayrenn eye? Hmmm...

That's missing the point for you see I am being punished here for serving the Queen. You are right I wouldn't return and help them.
I did every single quest for Aldmeri Dominion and none allowed me to not get the achievement had i made certain choices. I just think its wrong to punish players for choices you ask us to do.

It's not my fault I didn't know the evacuation would block one quest from being completed by me later. No matter what you are always able to come back and do any achievement. That how it is in any MMO and that's how it should be.

They are giving an achievements for showing the choices you choose to make. I find NOTHING wrong with that. An achievement for being good or evil or whatever the case my be. Maybe it was to show you took that "harder route" and you get an achievement.

Sounds like a small gripe to me.

Missable Achievements are extremely crappy, regardless how you look at it, especially when Achievements are not Account Wide. I miss one in Coldharbor, because my Decision did not grant me the required count (Lightbearer of Meridia)

The main problem is that in single player game you could just load and fix your error and get the achievement.
MMO do not work like this I can't load and fix my mistake that's why there shouldn't be achievement bound to the player choice. Here is a reason why.

1) Achievements are not account wide so you can't make another character and fix this.
2) As I was saying in all of the Aldmeri Dominion quest achievements there are none that can be broken like this.
3) I wasn't made aware in any way that my choice renders achievement void. After playing the game for 90+ hours I never encountered something like this.
4) I was doing this on veteran that means I am not getting any EXP for killing mobs so why was I supposed to go and do additional staff if I can just end quest here.
5) After you agree to evacuate you can still save villagers in other parts of island but you can't save just one guy If you missed the quest giver before you agreed to evacuate.

It super easy to fix this just make the quest giver appear and let us come back and do that quest. You can make her hide in her house or something.

He does have a point you know. Unless you read all achievments before you start any quest or zone......

I have only finished one faction so far and it was free of this. I think this problem is very isolated and I only know about 2 quests that suffer from this and that ain't lot in my opinion.

At V12, I have only found two achievements which can not be finished if you do quests in the wrong order. (one quest stops the completion of another)

Find Bleakrock’s Missing People achievement is one of them.

Personally I think its bad design, all achievements should be able to be completed no matter what. Maybe if they add a NEW quest that allows you to go back and fix things.

Also as dye's will be linked to which achievements you have completed.... this will be more of an issue

Quests in this game are amazing and I was just so sad when i sow this flaw...
It's so damn good I just want to make it perfect by pointing devs at this minor issue that might be important to people like me.

Probably won't be getting one, just sayin'. Most of the people here have told you that you have to be careful when doing quests. Blowing through quests and cutting corners is your fault, not the devs. "Loyalty to the queen" has nothing to do with user error. Sure you'll miss and achievement or two, but there are so many more to be had.

yes all Vet. quests a copy past from the zone you are in. I know it is ment to look like you see the world as if you are from that faction. but it looket nicer if you got quest from you faction in Vet lvl.

You made your decision, learn to live with the consequences .. I love that some decisions actually DO have consequences, kind of refreshing when most other games hold your hand and don't let you make a 'wrong' choice.

did you even try to go out to those people and do their quests? all that achievement is is just doing quests like yo do VR content. do certain quests, get achievement. the fact that you told that one person to go early, only affect how fast you do that quest. but the others should still be available for you to do.

Reroll. That's the only way you're going to get the cheevo now. I missed it on my first toon but I made sure I got it on my other 5. Sorry about the bad luck....but the optional quest line does show up the entire time until you tell that captain...."Ok everyone's ready let's go!"

Who do you think I am course... I did. I know exactly what quest you are unable to do if you decide to leave early and I am here to get it fixed. Vet characters just cant start over and do it the right way next time.

Enabling that quest is the right thing to do.

What did you expected by not doing 3 quests? Quests which were tied to zones main quest. Game breaking logic would be to give achievement for this. You didn't save villagers.

You made mistake by not reading what you must do to get achievement and now must live with consequences.

If this is true then, obviously you are wasting yours and supports time. This is inside the code, Support isnt going to be able to do crap about that. A more constructive use of your time is to put in a feedback ticket and hope they will implement this in the future, but right now you are raging at CS to use a tool they don't even have, so go ahead and keep writing those emails to support, eventually you will be banned for support abuse.

Lettigall Again you are wrong i finished entire Dominion quest line and guess what i did opt for shortcuts there and that never resulted in loss of an achievement.

Fairydragon3 I am sure support can inform devs about this particular issue so I am not wasting anyone's time. Have you ever heard about technical support?
