Too many players running to vampire as it is, even with the fire debuff. I don't think there is enough about them as is to make people second guess playing them. Becoming a vampire shouldn't just be a buff, you should give up as much as you gain, otherwise there is no balance.

    Be dunmer for added lulz.

    Whats this fire damage?

yeah but im already vet 2 and im not starting another character to get fire resists

Getting the highest possible Fire Resistance glyph on 1 ring fx, will do the same thing. It wont stack anyways
You mean my two rings and a necklace with 1100 total fire resist is not working. It sure seems like it does.

Ofc your 1100 FR works. You can get more on 1 glyph at max lvl, which happens to be exactly what ive been talking about in several posts. There's a hardcap for FR and no extra amount of FR will change that. You'll still take 25% more fire damage than non vampires

You cannot lower your weakness to fire to be less than 25%. 50% reduction is the hardcap and you take 50% more.
    (50%of50%=25%)

If you're a Dunmer you're sorted, if not you will need atleast 1 enchant at max lvl. It was VR10 the time this was tested.

Being a Vamp is not why vet mobs are oneshotting you. Alot of Vet mobs hit everyone for stupid amounts of damage even in solo instances. I have had solo dungeon mobs hit me for 2600+ repeatedly.

Being a Vamp is the reason silly stuff like an imp can one shot you. It is kinda obvious they're talking about fire damage from everywhere as a vampire.

The fire weakness, however lore accurate is stuffed in a game where almost everything is fire. The only other stuff we see is the odd Atronach, staffs, spark imp and lone mage with either lightning bolt or ice storm.
The rest is fire, 2 classes with fire and only the sorcerer with a couple of lightning attacks.

It is slightly tiresome that ppl cant get an actual discussion going on these forums. Most of it is "I hate your class/skills, so die/nerf/golfclap".

I get it, you hate twilight, you hated the pvp batswarm crap, mistform abuse etc. All these thngs apply to me aswell, I however, still think it's a tad overdone

How is that response even appropriate to what I wrote? What is tiresome is off the wall responses like yours that have nothing to do with the person's post you are attacking. That is what hinders actual discussion on these forums. Saying it happens to everyone is not hating on vamps. No idea where the heck you get that. Normal characters get one shotted by non-named vet mobs frequently. Being a vamp has nothing to do with it. It is a general problem that has remained not addressed. Don't know how to make that more clear to fix your attitude.

Jeez, overreact much? How about you read the thread, any thread on these forums tbh. The majority disagrees out of spite.

Vamps get one shotted by those non named vet mobs and anything you can think about that can use fire.

Oh I get it, by using your quote you assume my entire post is directly at you personally. That's my bad then I guess, I should have been more clear.

If you've read my previous posts in this thread you can see there's no attacking intended. Ive also stated Im pretty much neutral in this, I really couldnt care less if they change it or not.
However, I do understand where they're coming from.

Yeah I know about the 25% cap. My enchanter can only make a 450 so far.

being a vampire has advantages disadvantges and you should play accordingly with fire resist option on jewelry and enchants. increasing fire resistance would make vampires even more op that they are already,

My issue with being a vamp is Drain Essence doesn't work on anything big.
Like Harvesters and such. Works on other daedra, but nothing big. Like being big means they don't have blood. THEY HAVE MORE! They're bigger!

...This is the point of being a vampire... If you don't like it than don't be a vampire. Its that simple. Just be thankful you are aloud out in the daylight without some kind of repercussions.

where is my unique skill tree for not wanting to be a vampire or werewolf? Exactly.

You deserve a fire resist debuff and many more negative side effects.

So far I've yet to see anybody argue why making fire resist tied to stage would be a bad idea.

Most of the no crowd seems to just repeat bla bla twilight, overblowing things to vamps asking for no fire debuff, and some rambling about sun damage since they can't accept that sun damage while popular in some types isn't a mandatory part of being a vampire.

Indeed, I suggested they raise the caps for vet levels earlier, it seems sensible that the resistance should scale with the damage they might receive, after all it should be a disadvantage not a death sentence.

i think for the sake of consistency with the other elder scrolls games, vamps should also take sun damage

Might make them unplayable. (when might means definately will)
