Got there and decided to turn in for the night expecting to pick up where I left off. Wong!
I like this idea a lot. Especially since going through the Doshia Fighter's Guild quest again on some alts and finding a fight that was once really tense and exciting (and only beatable once you've figured out the mechanic) to have been nerfed down to the point where I could kill her before she even turned into a harvester.Dagoth_Rac wrote: »I suggested something similar once before. 2 = 66% boss health, 66% normal boss damage, 66% normal XP, crappy green item that is a hair better than vendor trash.
3 = regular boss health and boss damage, regular XP, blue item reward.
4 = 150% boss health, 150% normal boss damage, 150% normal XP, purple item reward.
5 = 200% boss health, 200% normal boss damage, 200% normal XP, gold item reward.
It would reward you for completing a tougher fight while still not blocking you from progressing. I also think the above would be fairly easy to code. Look at difficulty slider, multiply 3 stats by a number, change one loot table.

I'm curious what build people think is impossible to beat some main storyline bosses with. I'm now a V1 Templar (primary focus healing with some points in Aedric Spear and Dawns Wrath for some attacks) who also became a vampire early on and was able to defeat every boss in the game without a glitch or assistance. Instead of whining, learn the damn fights. If you can't figure out good techniques on your own, ask for help in the forums or in zone chat. There are plenty of techniques out there for beating every boss in the game with any build.

That is kinda too much nerf if one can kill it before she turns. This is kinda must have and must learn fight in the game. There will be much more harvesters later in the game and if one has no idea what to do and not to do on those fights they are screwed.

This is assuming they are set on these being forced-solo. Grouping with someone else who has not completed the quest would be good, too. I would be opposed to bringing in a VR12 buddy to take down Lyris Doppelganger, but two Level 33 characters who are stuck on Lyris Doppelganger being allowed to team up? That is cool.
Agreed. I'm an altaholic with 16 alts who have gone through that fight. 6 or 7 of them were pre-nerf, and the rest were post-nerf. All of the pre-nerf fights were challenging. None of the post-nerf fights were. In 2 cases post-nerf I killed her before she even got to cast any spells or anything, let alone transform. I'm lucky that I learned the techniques and mechanics pre-nerf.I like this idea a lot. Are you in labor? When's the baby due?
Just curious, because you seem pretty worked up over something that would have absolutely no impact on how *YOU* play the game, since, according to your post, you're a God-like player among us mere peons.
As for asking chat or the forums for boss assistance, ha! I've done that, and the results are decidedly mixed. More often than not, I've encountered folks like you who ridicule those seeking help or, God forbid, a possible solution as outlined in the OP that would benefit everyone playing ESO.
Grammatical nitpick: "Altaholic" isn't (or shouldn't be) a word, for there is no such thing as, "altahol." I much prefer terms like "alt-addict."I'm an altaholic with 16 alts who have gone through that fight. 6 or 7 of them were pre-nerf, and the rest were post-nerf. That's where you're wrong. I'm totally addicted to sweet, sweet altahol.Grammatical nitpick: "Altaholic" isn't (or shouldn't be) a word, for there is no such thing as, "altahol." WTF are you talking about? I'm not worked up about anything, merely making my own observation. You're the one that seems to have your panties in a bunch over my comment.
As a side note, I ridiculed people that whine about it being too hard / said that some bosses were "impossible" with certain builds. I NEVER ridiculed anyone that asked for assistance in figuring out how to beat a boss. So, before you go presuming what kind of person I am, READ WHAT IS ACTUALLY WRITTEN!
Okay, that invalidates your entire post .. you beat the content others have big trouble with using a hugely OP Vamp, which no lobger exists.who also became a vampire early on and was able to defeat every boss in the game without a glitch or assistance. .
Indeed. In a single-player TES game, we can solo the entire game. In ESO, the main story is solo-only.xsfkxnub19_ESO wrote: »I'd rather have the ability to group up in such situations. This is a multiplayer game after all, but this is a cool idea.
Huzzah.Guys. Really.
I play my 4th toon now through the whole content, meaning I did all guildline and main story quests in different stages of patching.
Never asked for or wanted nerfing of any bosses or mobs - just the ability to cooperatively play throughout this MMO, as is already possible in most every other major MMO.First: solo bosses have been ALREADY made as easy as anything.
Again, don't care. Never wanted the bosses nerfed - heck, make them harder for grouped players for all I care, but ...<SNIP information on solo-only bosses and recommended strategies for beating them>

What is the title of the thread, and what is the subject matter of the OP?
