look at the new stats on armor sets in 1.3 and enjoy. You will do a lot more damage than sorcerers and light armor/staff wearers then. The developers are listening to you, they just take time to implement it.

Also one of my guild mates stopped playing recently for the same reason. However he is a sorcerer and got frustrated with the fact that he cannot kill dragonknights 1v1.

I've gotta say that I just don't understand some of the QQ about NB's. Yes, the class has had issues with broken skills, and we continue to have them. Sure some balance isstill required, but NB's are NOT underpowered.

Granted my NB is not at vet ranks quite yet (but at level 42 I am so close I can almost taste it....). But my current damage output is pretty freaking extraordinary, I think. My first attack ALWAYS crits from stealth for over 1200 damage, a veiled strike and impale later and my for is dead. For elite bosses, add a funnel health or two before the impale.

I can hit 2000+ damage in 3 seconds or less. AT LEVEL 42

What you CAN'T do is go merrily traipsing along and expect to win in a situation where stealth is not on your side. You DO realize that, right? That stealth attacks are crucial to the damage output of a NB? Hell, most of our class skills are designed to give bonuses from stealth; it should be pretty obvious.

Far be it from me to tell a vaunted VR12 that maybe you need to L2P. But....well

You're taking about pve, try PvP doing that damage against vrs and not using staff and light armour. It didn't happen.

are you doing this against vr12s, what classes?

Anyway, OP, if you don't like playing the underdog, play a different class for now. Personally, I think you are placing too much of your enjoyment on whether you can kill DKs or not. If I can't beat someone 1v1 I just bring friends.

Try to find some Templars to fight. That will make you feel much better about your NB.

well... I do remember jumping and killing a VR12 LA staffer(sure it was a sorcerer or a DK based on attacks I saw her do to others) with my NB archer back when she was VR1. I jumped her, got the stealth critical, then put some venom arrows in her. I think I scared the s*** out of her, because instead of spamming self heals then pounding me like they usually seem to do, she tried to run. I chased her down and finished her with impale. it was glorious. now a one handed and shield DK is another story. me, 2 other VR12s, and another guy, could not kill ONE DK shielder. and the people that were helping me were pretty good at the game(im not very good at all, but I do have common sense most of the time). he kept on spamming some kind of healing ability, and kept on using that charging ability. he would not die!:/ someone even used soul strike while he was on low health and he would not die. it was.... interesting. think of that what you will

Go to youtube and search NB PVP and you will see loads of vids on NB's ganking every class. You can do the same with any other class too. Any class can be effective if played well

Assumed that anyway NBs do need some ground up review,

in no PvP game a "tank specced, tank geared" class goes easily down, not even against multiple players. Else they'd be useless at their role, which is... well... to tank.

In no PvP game a stealther can headbutt and hope to win. They play with finesse. Those like a player above (S&B NB) has understood how to deal with zergy situations. Once again, other PvP MMOs had specific "rogue" spec and gear to forfeit best stealth but become durable and apply heavy debuffing and crowd control against multiple players.

So... I won't say "L2P" but "learn your role, the compromises you have to accept and to spec + gear accordingly.

while I wont deny the truth to this, it is still ridiculous for a DK to survive one of the most powerfull attacks in the game, while on low health, WHEN HIS BACK WAS TURNED TO THE GUY DOING IT. he turned to face him after he got done making me look pathetic, and by the time he even did turn to fight back, the soul strike was already happening, that DK should have died:/ MMO rules be d****. I don't charge DKS, or anyone in fact, head on, with my NB. I jump them. sometimes it works, sometimes it does not, but I do expect a player to die, when they are hit, in the back, by the one of the most powerful attacks in the game, while on low health. if someone can survive THAT, something is off.

It isn't the NB at fault... All the other classes are overpowering! Throttle them back so they are on par with the NB. I see this all the time in PvE and I'd be crazy poking into PvP. Always shying away from mobs of 3 or more and play it wrong with mobs of 2 and I'm dead. But in the middle of a battle going well or not and some PC with a staff comes rushing in and the battle is over very quickly--thank you.

My best guess right now is ZOS doesn't know what to do and that's why the 1.2.6 patch isn't happening yet.

I was kind of happy when the templar melee attack was nerfed, because I was tired of working hard to take down a group of three mobs, only to have a templar bust in and mow them over. So embarrassing.

I wouldn't take that bet. It's an odds on certainty they have no idea at all how to balance things. This is the sort of stuff that should have been sorted out long, long before it all went live. They were told in beta this was going to happen - it's intrinsic in the numbers underpinning the system.

But they didn't and for now the only solution that works quickly enough is nerfing everything so nothing matters. Let's hope it buys them time to actually plan and test a different approach.

From my small experience in PvP, the one who attacks usually wins. Just by single stealth stun... in which most people can obliterate you till you know what hit you.

Also, going into cyrondil ALONE is a BAD IDEA.

And now, due to you, we have one more "nerf DK" threads..
You can't blame your own mistakes on someone else..

Im not a night blade but this has been going on for near 3 months it was very visible in closed beta. As the population we have known about it since 4 weeks post launch. the guilds are emptying populations primarily because of this issue. And they have done nothing about it.

It personaly does not affect me as i have a Sorc and a DK both in light ( Chuckle) *sad that heavy armor is useless for tanking*. But the reality is you may be playing a Freemium game very soon if they dont stop the bleeding. so some suppoert for the community is wise not Bashing someone for voicing their frustration . I honestly think the DK needs a bit of tweaking still by making kindling only work with DK fire abilities and not all fire abilities. You may even need to bring it down from 66% to 50%.
