If you break a keyboard every time you run into one of the imbalances in this game, well...you're going to go through a lot of keyboards.

I would suggest working on another character until they improve NB or just take satisfaction in knowing that your making it through with one of the more gimped classes.

How many times have you been killed by a NB in the last few days or are you only keeping count of the DK.

Don't attack Dragonknights 1v1 as a Nightblade, unless they are low level and especially if they have a shield. It's an exercise in futility. They have everything to counter you.

I started pvping on my VR3 Dragonknight recently and I can really see how week some NB's are against me. Last night I had a VR9 and a VR3 Nightblade try to gank me. I ended up killing them both, as they were both vampires and I do a lot of fire damage (plus they were pretty bad, but still). Conversely if that had happened on my Nightblade, I would have easily died.

As far as sorcerers, dodge roll and interrupts are your friend.

NBs suck. We all know this. It's been documented, and hopefully the devs are looking into it.

Class balance really needs long-term focus and changes. Some argue the issue is more about staff/light armor (which I would agree with) than it is about class imbalances, but the devs -obviously- need to be looking at this long-term and doing their best to bring the classes at least into the same ballpark.

For that reason I try to remember to move the keyboard and just do a /headdesk

I never attack an equal or higher DK. I'm an NB. It doesn't work.

Then you'll face-roll all content and dominate the battlefield in PvP.

NB are an underrated class. Just using Ambush and ult Soul Harvest a NB can stealth attack for a combined total of 2798 damage in under 2 seconds. It's not an exaggeration I have video footage of one hitting me last night outside the front gate of a siege. There are builds with the NB that are weak as there are with many, but those builds mostly share the same reasons for being weak. Which is the magicka/stamina issue in the game right now. Damage isn't a NBs problem. As for survivability they want DPS to suffer when you choose skills for that. Which is why the two classes you mentioned have been getting rebalanced. The NB does have skills to evade enemies, but you will probably never be buffed to the point you can tank 5 vet players for an extended time. At the very least don't hold your breath......unless you want to. I should have noted the NB in question was using DW when he attacked and switched to 2h after. I know staffs are the norm for most.

Nb`s do the same dps as sorcs and dk`s...

As the posted above said, you now have the levels and gear... grind some skill and you will win.

If you lost 1v1 to a dragonknight as a nb (i have same nb bow/dw and on a v1 I stomped a v7 dk 1v1) it's you, not ur class.

When my NB (medium, duals/bow) was VR1 I've killed VR9 Templar (heavy, 2h and staff), then VR10 NB (the same with me build), but was slained by VR4 DK (light, basher).
You know? Sh*t happens...

I don't have Soul Harvest, but I ambushed a VR12 DK for 198, followed it up with a heavy attack of 212. Needless to say, he ran for this life. I took pity on him and let him go.

My thoughts:

There is a sticky at the top of the forums concerning Nightblades & Zenimax's awareness that fixes are needed and what those fixes will be.

Nightblades have a niche in pvp in which they can do quite well, unfortunately it's not with zerg warfare.

DK's have had 2 or 3 straight nerfs and sorcs 1; Zenimax is aware they are overly powerful compared to NB/Templar. They are adjusting the game play; just not at the speed with which you are comfortable.

It is almost universally accepted that Zenimax needs to add a separate resource for sprint/block/dodge so stamina builds are not gimped compared to magicka/class builds.

Until then, adapt to what is. Only...non-learners keep banging their head against the wall.

Hard to tell whats going on without really knowing what your doing. I play a nightblade, sword and board, and rely on stuns. Am i doing top DPS, hells no. But im locking down my competition, reducing there armor, moving in and out of stealth to hit them til they die.

And i have support with me with my guild. I tag them, they burn them.

Or sorry to day it....maybe your just not good or your build needs some tweaking. I die all the time, but my kill ratio is always above my death ratio.

Not too many classes can take a DK 1v1 if the DK knows what they are doing so don't feel bad about it.

NBs can be good when played in a very specific way in PvP. You have to choose your targets and engagements very carefully.

We need more classes. More options, these 4 are gtting really boreing with their limited trait lines. Tired of doing the same old *** all the time.

And yes I have 1 of each class.
