stop blaming hacks for simple lag

now you're just posting for the sake of arguement

lol ram, you have seen me run from a 1v1? screenshots please

i never said i was a pvp god, that must be you projecting.

sorry if i one shot you. like i said before, it was likely lag that made it look like 7 abilities. if it makes you feel any better, i usually 2-3 shot people, so to last 7 hits would have been impressive
  • rammstein2001pub18_ESO
i have like what 2800 hp .. i casted 1 skill on you in that time you got off 7 .. also to the fact you were skipping around on my screen lookin like a scarecrow ..

i get a bug where i cant move..I have to press D or A to get myself unstuck..I remapped my mouse for movement though so it might be related to that.

But like sometimes opening a window..talking in zone..anything like that and I cant move..I have to relog to fix it.

Just in case, i noticed this bug happens after using the fire rune : stucked after using it ; using it again unstucked me.

Another funny bug is the "undead bug", it happened 2 times after being killed by the soul magic ulti, dead but i can move and the ennemies see me as well (and try to hit me but impossible), i can't do anything, and have to relog to be really dead !

Saw the death bug tonight for the second time ever..1st time was muh bf..tonight it was an enemy player. Only "good" thing about that bug is you can slide your dead self off to a discreet spot for a friend to rezz you.(if it just so happens you cant rezz at the current keep you've been fighting at cause its being sieged.) ;)

There's only been two or three times I wish I had fraps running while i pvpd..when i start having a moment like that daily..i may start running vid capture :P

Bugged Forward Camps- Camps becoming unusable either immediately after placing them even when they have not been burned down and does not despawn when they reach their max player spawn limit

I know what causes this: A party member joining the group after the tent is laid down. I literally saw this happen one night, two times in a row where the tent disappeared from the map right as someone joined the group. When we now put down a tent, we do not have anyone join the party, and as long as no pugs use the tent, there are no problems.

Despawning Mounts- Mount despawns after summoning it, seems to be triggered by touching anything on the keyboard or even moving the mouse. Press "H" and DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING or it will despawn.

I haven't had this happen except for when I spam H while inappropriately tagged for combat.

Unknown Error-Sudden drop in connection that only happens in Cyrodiil- I'm sure we all had a moment where everyone stops moving, you can no longer draw or sheath your weapons or stealth, a few seconds later you're back at the login screen with a stupid "Unknown Error" message. Note: You are still able to chat in guild chat when this happens

This happens when someone joins the group and they are not in Cyrodiil or in another campaign. Always invite from /zone chat to avoid this.
    Animus0724 wrote: »
Party Lag-Groups above 16 players will lag out resulting in half or more of that group dropping connection.

This only happens when someone does drop connection and tries to log back in. Instantly kick anyone whom drops connection and this problem goes away.

This is the radar exploit. I've seen this myself as an EP player -- watching a player run from Arrius keep to the Arrius lumbermill directly for me while I'm moving and watching the player to continue to track me (while the eyelids are closed) in an inconspicuous location while hidden and charge at me (Critical Rush) well over the range of a detection potion. No solution except from Zenimax policing their game.

Insta Repair- Enemies seemingly repairing walls and doors to 100% in an extremely short amount of time. Seriously the shortest I've seen was 15 seconds, no more than 10 enemies present inside the keep. We took down a wall, went in, turned around to see we were completely trapped with our reinforcements outside.

This is the speed-hack exploit. These same players, while there is a lot of combat around will also do other exciting things such as hit you 10x with a heavy 2-hand attack in less than a second which will seemingly one-shot you. Again, there is no solution except for Zenimax to police the game.

i do agree with leewells and come to think of it beteric i have grouped with him before same with the red sun,Magnarz etc and couple others that belong to DR .. i may have been mistaken lol
but aren't you in DR? so what i heard was all those players talking onTS3 about abusing glitches and exploits and using hacks etc ..

If you believe that is what you heard in a DR channel, you are obviously clueless and have never been in our TS3. It is that simple. The only time exploits are discussed is when we're disgusted with someone else using them against us and getting pissed and logging off (I think I did say once, something to the tune, "I have a half of mind to caltrop this entire raid" when we were trying to take a keep where the defenders on the wall were using caltrops, and that's the worse you would have ever witnessed). Not unless, of course, you are talking about oil pots being on the ground during beta when an officer got GM confirmation that it was working as intended and we took off with it and used it to return the favors. Other than that, I know you're talking out your fourth point of contact and even people still in our guild, those that rage-quit, etc will state the same if they have a shred of integrity.

What goes to further this assertion is the fact you don't even know my TS3 ID or even know who I was. Its fairly obvious if you were ever really in my guild or our TS3. So how about you take your baseless accusations to a politician whom might actually appreciate it.

So.. what about the stealth-rez bug that people keep demanding we do. Exactly what is this? Every time I ask about it I'm met with silence. No one wants to discuss it so that it doesn't get fixed. People love to cheat. I'm yet to have someone respond to this.

Is there a counter for it? I've walked right up to the spot where the rezbeam was originating and couldn't unstealth or damage the rezzer.

So far these are the ones I have encountered so far.

    Edit: Additional Info

Bugged Forward Camps- Camps becoming unusable either immediately after placing them even when they have not been burned down and does not despawn when they reach their max player spawn limit

Party Lag-Groups above 16 players will lag out resulting in half or more of that group dropping connection.

Bad Map-Inaccurate map where player locations are wrong. Even the compass kills itself, again this only happens in Cyrodiil

Keen Eyed Enemies- Enemies able to see right through stealth sometimes charging in across the map to gank you where you were completely in stealth and the indicator at hidden. Note: There were no mage lit enemies around, This is outside the visual range of Detect potions from alchemy as well

Note: 10 players cannot insta-repair a wall with 20+ enemies around

Item Not yet ready- Wall and door repairs not working as intended where a message stating "Item Not Yet ready" when trying to use repair kits. This sometimes also results in stack of kits being bugged, unable to destroy them or sell them.

Tele-Scrolls- (new) Players somehow getting a hold of a scroll at enemy keep and teleporting them deep within their territory.

Broken Doors- Unable to interact with postern doors, seems to happen almost after repairs.

Tutorial- Doesn't work as stated by many, unable to complete siege tutorial.

Combat Mode Engaged- Stuck in combat mode even though you're at gate eating a sweet roll, seems to be triggered randomly

There have been others that have already been fixed and I'm sure there are others that I missed, but this is what I have so far...feel free to tell me more or tell me I'm wrong about some of these

Well this isn't really a bug/exploit, but since you're making a list sorta, I thought I should bring it up.

-Siege weapons able to hit and damage enemy siege weapons behind walls.

I've seen groups using this deliberately when attacking the front gate of a keep. They target the area above the door when they have a ram out. Any oils you put down to defend will be obliterated in, most times, a matter of seconds.

There was no lag. The enemy player casted one crystal shard, but it hit 6 times.
I do not mind being defeated, pvp is a challenge and i accept it, but what happened has nothing to do with not being able to accept a personal failure.

Perhaps rather than assert that "it was lag" over and over again as a blanket response you could provide a reason for this belief. He was an eye witness to the occasion you were not. So unless you can provide a reason for him to doubt his experience he is quite rational to continue to believe his experience by the principle of credulity.

Was this probability estimation based on a survey of one person? If your sole reason for repeatedly claiming "it's lag" is this probability estimate then I think, by these numbers, we can dismiss your accusations right out. We can dismiss it even more so then the nature of your conduct was already requiring us to do.

And yet when asked for a reason to believe you, rather than rely on that "extensive knowledge of mmo client/server protocols" you went with a made up on the spot probability estimate.

It is now evident that your participation in this thread is all heat and no light. Having been asked multiple times to give an explanation for your belief you have refused. The depth of your capability in providing information for these issues is clear, so I will leave you to your harmless tautology.

for giggles, ill explain the basics of the concept since this must be your first mmo

when a player in an mmo wants to use an ability, they hit the button and that sends a "request" to the server, which then runs a number of checks to determine if its a valid request. It checks mana requirement, line of sight, range, *cooldown*, etc... and if its a valid request, the server responds with the permission to use the ability.

this means that no hacks can beat the cooldown, because hacks alter your client, but have no effect on the server, which ultimately has control.

again, you are welcome for explaining to you how lag is the only explanation for his "issue"

Considering there are speed hacks available for download, in addition to videos showing the capabilities of the those speed hacks. In addition to a rich tradition of speed hacks being in mmo games including wildstar before it even came out, I consider your "extensive knowledge" to be an illusion that only you can experience.

lol once again your ignorance leads you to looking foolish

mmos do not directly monitor your character movement, because such frequent back and forth data to the server for every step you take would be overly taxing on the network. this is why you can lag out but continue to move around freely until it clears up.

thus, hacks that affect movement are unchecked by the server. however, theres multiple layers of protection, and is currently no speedhacks that work on the live client without immediate auto bans.

to avoid looking foolish, you should refrain from attempting to discuss things you know nothing about.

No they are checked based on a threshold. not every step. Exceptional speed hacks are monitored. Speed hacks are adjusted to a threshold to under cut the monitoring. It helps to know what you are talking about before calling someone a fool, lest you expose yourself to the truth.

we were discussing client/server protocol, which does not monitor movement speed. this isnt rocket science lol
