I understand some of you are able to deal with the system as is, and some of you even like the system the way it is, however I am asking if you would like these improvements added to ESO.

I posted this in poll form, so the no's can get a chance to vote their side as well.
  • Add a personal bank tab: The shared bank is decent for convenience, yet the amount of inconvenience one suffers through because of the inventory choke hold really eclipses that. With a personal bank tab that was upgradeable, you even have another expense for the compiling gold.
  • Add a crafting materials tab: This follows the same idea as above, and addresses one of ESO's worst culprits. Frankly, both of these tabs could be added to the game and we would still need to have mules on top of it.
  • Separate and/or remove the inventory slot use of provisioning items: Provisioning particularly is a troublesome beast; in previous elder scrolls games, typically the reason you weren't that limited to picking up food/alchemy items is because they weighed basically nothing. That's not the case here, where a tomato takes up the same amount of space a greatsword does.
  • Reduce the gold cost of bank slots: The inventory costs seem manageable; the bank slots are not. 20k is a decent maximum for personal inventory - it doesn't seem like a good spot for less than half of the maximum bank slots.
  • Increase stack sizes to 200-1,000: Again addressing the problem with crafting materials, this would at least allow for them to be managed without requiring much of a change to the game.
  • Double bank space: I understand it can be difficult to appease all crowds; those who already spent a lot of gold to increase their bank space would be justifiably angry if the costs were retroactively lowered. This kind of change would allow for those upgrades to still remain in effect while helping to address the issue.
  • Allow certain items to be "Locked": As not to appear on deconstruction/sell lists, this would at least allow for inventory cleanup to be done with greater speed and efficiency without risking your precious [alternate] suit of armor.
  • Include a separate, non-burdening category for Trophies & Costumes: These things typically serve no purpose - but, you can't get them again, making for a choice of the lesser between two evils. Since they are utterly non-beneficial, they should be moved to their own category (the way quest items are) which does not use up inventory space.

I agree with most of these changes , only thing that worries me is the personal bank , i would not mind having it BUT i would rather have the current bank if i had to pick one.

Managing alts that keep the ridiculous amounts of craft mats would become far too annoying then.

So if zen would not add another bank that each char had , i would rather have one that all my chars can access.

There is a addon for this. It is exactly the kind of stuff they gave us the Addon API and the ability to add filtering to most screens in the first place.

Good poll. Good ideas too. I don't agree with everything, I still think it's a big part of the TES that we manage our limited space. I loudly agree with what you said about trophies and costumes - they should take up no space IMHO .
    Some xpac ideas maybe?

I agree with the trophies bit and locking items would be nice. However I do not think inventory space should be increased.

Also could we make a new rule. Quote a paragraph from the OP if you really need to but don't quote the entire initial post that we all have read. Do you know what it looks like when you are reading off a phone or an ipad?!

Working with this limited inventory space is something The Elder Scrolls games have always revolved around. You should be the one to decide in the end whether or not you want to hold onto something in your inventory or bank, really.

That simply is not true. There is unlimited storage in Oblivion and Skyrim. I can't remember about the rest.

I'm not sure how to answer to this post, but most of your wishes are senseless to me.

Let's go over this together and maybe i can clear things up for you. :)
    1. Add personal bank tab
And how it would make anything better? You probably just want more bank space, but personal bank has no benefits - it will simply add some additional bag space that can be accesses only at bank.

Personal bank has great benefits. Far and away is the ability to store personal items in just your characters space. It is much easier to organize and keep track of what items go to which character and what items not to sell off or destroy in crafting.
    2. Add crafting materials tab
I got crafting materials tab, not sure what do you mean by this.

Have space in the shared bank that holds materials for crafting that does not take up normal bank space.
    3. Separate and/or remove the inventory slot use of provisioning items
Separate - ok it can just organize your inventory better, but now I got only few items there, so I do not care too much. Also by the same each profession could have separate tab - why you are so strong on inventory for provisioning, what about 5 remaining professions?
Remove - and where provisioning items would be listed?

This was just the same as the 2nd request, but just for food I am assuming.
    4. Reduce the gold cost of bank slots
So why do you think it is expensive now? I manage to live without maximum additional 20 bank space slots untill vet5 and be able to progress three professions to 50 and also other three have some progress.

Some people feel it is too high. I'll just leave it at that.
    5. Increase stack sizes to 200-1,000
Well then, may be then just unlimited and collect everything?

    Sarcasm noted. ;)
    6. Double bank space
Same as above - why not 4* or 500* more bank space?

I agree. Why not? Feel free to answer your own question.

However, double should do the trick.
    7. Allow certain items to be "Locked"
And it is actually point I can agree in 100%.

    Good.
    8. Include a separate, non-burdening category for Trophies & Costumes
Well yes, but these trophies serve no purpose, but still many people (including me) keep them.

Things like this are just for fun and should not be even a small burden.

In summary. When someone wants to make more room for provisioning or other materials I would like first to ask: Why do you need all materials? Please learn and keep only needed items - this is first rule of having space in your bag.

This is not about bag space. It's about bank space.
So indeed we can say - no need to learn and think, give us 1000 slots and give us more power and game will be soooooo duuuuuuuul.

I'll take dull banking over tedious banking any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Banking is not a minigame or fun for most players.

Banks are there to help with the inventory, not make it more of a burden.

However, simple things like this should already be in the actual game.

The whole costume thing taking up space is lame.
Not sure about the different tab for crafting mats thing,
Rift didn't have one last time I played maybe they added one, was kind of a pain even with a full maxed guild bank mats just took up 2 much room.
I think gw2 had one, It be nice if they had a mini bag for them, maybe a rune bag that you could store runes in or a ore bag to store ore or Upgrade mats in, Would be nice.

You can have both a shared bank and personal bank space for each character. That is how it is normally done.

This is the first pay to play MMO that has not given it's players personal bank space.

It is set up like a F2P game, sadly.

The only point I really agree with is the last one for trophies/disguises/vanity pets tbh.

I too used to have inventory management issues until I learned what items to keep and which not to. Was trying to do too much too early basically. Makes a hell of a lot of difference once you open up the extra bank/inventory slots. Still have one mule but I'm not needing to go back to town every 30 minutes any more.

Yeah, hard to say no to most of these. I'm not one for easy-fying the game too much, but as it stands, the current system is inconvenient to use, and they go too far limiting your storage for a game with so many different things to acquire. When, before you're even level 8, you're wasting huge amounts of time juggling bags and bank space, you know you got a problem.
