Grilled Worms, what the ????????

What is with some of the weirder recipes in this game, for example:

Grilled Worms, ingredients: Plump Worms & Dripping
RothMead, ingredients: Aged Meat & Corn Mash
Meat Muscat, ingredients: Aged Meat & Wine Grapes
Beatle Shots, ingredients: Dusk Beatles & Corn Mash
Dusk Wine, ingredients: Dusk Beatles & Wine Grapes

I can get my head around Rothmead and Meat Muscat being Bosmer recipes, but they shouldn't have non-meat ingredients (because of the Green Pact). I'm not sure whether Bealtle Shots & Dusk Wine are Bosmer or Khaiit recipes, but I can get my head around them nevertheless.

But Grilled Worms, you would have to be nearly dead from starvation before you could look at a bowl of worms and say "I know, I'll grill these, hmmmmm". Maybe not even then.

By the way, I'm not asking for these to be changed, I'm just opening up a thread for people to discuss the weird recipes in this game. (well hopefully)

Are you aware that many cultures eat worms, ants, beetles and other insects? I'd say that most countries eat some type of insect so I don't know why it surprises you.
Insects I can get my head around easily.
    It's worms I can't understand, but I get that it's my problem.

I have now found the Maggot Haggis, Worm Pie, and Slugillion Recipes.

Maggot Haggis, strangely I have no problem with, mainly because my Great Gran used to tell me stories about my Great Great Grandad eating Maggoty Cheese, apparently he loved it.

Worm Pie is far less worrying to me than Grilled Worms, especially if there's cheese in it to help hide the worms.

Slugillion however appears to be a slug soup/stew, which is extremely stomache turning to think about.

I want frog legs, elf ears, gnome toes, fairy eyes etc.

What would be really cool is the ability to make our own cooking like in alchemy, mix and match etc.

I bet some of us could get very creative!

As the worm and maggot based recipes are EP, I thought they were Argonian, in which case it kind of makes sense.

Epona was a Romano-Celtic goddess dating back to around 1800 to 2000 years before computer games were invented.

Amusingly we already have frog legs for a variety of recipes on the pact side, such as Grilled Frog Legs and Frog Muffins. I think there's a soup variety too.

I picked up a recipe that involves worms that's called wriggles-in-gullet. Nom nom nom.

lol I love the weirdness of the recipes, there are even some like grilled worms, I refuse to use, just because I get the mental picture :)

I think most of the recipes are gross and too fake. Games always seem to have this strange desire to make the nastiest food. They have onions, tomatoes, cheese, beef, cake flour, baking flour, fat drippings, drippings, meal, eggs, (have i seen milk yet? i think so but not sure), and many more.

There is a ton of great recipes they could be making instead. This is a flaw of almost every video game.

There's PIG'S milk. I haven't seen any other reference to milk from any other mammal yet, but I'm still working through the 40s.

I think it's just because the people who brainstorm this stuff get bored, drunk, and silly during their sessions. Why not; they gotta have some fun out of the game, too. :stuck_out_tongue:

no mention of the plump maggot and plump rat toe recipes?

Found the Rodent Muffins recipe, which sounds dodgy considering it's those plump rodents toes in them.
