My character lvl vet 1 looks kind of pinky. Especially the beautiful shining soft pink dress with floral ornaments. He's a man though :D

    pics pics pics

Attached image: Pink ornate khajitian dress for guys with pink orcish epaulettes. The dress is epic now, so it's more dirty than epaulettes. You know, it's epic man! That's why it's... dirty...

But I remember before the patch on some low level it was possible to make more Barbie pink high boots for men xD In fact, I like the dress, but those boots was crossing a line...
    Hail Sithis!

As i have been gaining in level even at low levels, it seems a good indicator is the material used to craft the item and the level of the item as well. Keep going, the green will go away.

All gear shown is VR10, Voidstone (excluding gloves and belt). The chest and legs are Legendary while the boots, gloves, shoulders, belt and helm (not pictured) are Epic.

Well...my worry was that my install of the game wasn't rendering textures properly and that I was getting this green no matter what I crafted. I didn't see it before, but perhaps it's because I was at a lower level. I don't recall seeing the sea of green in other players prior to the 1.2 patch though. I'm just not sure why the game is doing this and not crafting gear as represented and if it's issue or not. I was really hoping for feedback from the devs as I've seen them comment on other posts. At the very least a "We are looking into it" comment would be nice so I/We know they are aware of the issue.

With better and better looking gear a big part of grinding and leveling, to get stuck with a crafted gear that doesn't come out right isn't a lot of fun. Luckily, you can get some good drops to use that aren't discolored, but it sure is taking the fun out of crafting something to enjoy out the game right now.

You are absolutely correct. Prior to 1.2 my Legendary chest and legs both were blue primary with gold secondary and silver accents. The above green accented Epic pieces were instead blue primary with gray secondary and silver accents.

It doesn't get better as you craft higher level items and, unlike the rest of you, my shade of green is the nauseating kind best reserved for a poorly modded Honda Civic.

Still seeing green after upgrading my blacksmithing. I just can't escape it! I hope Mondays patch fixes whatever happened in the last patch with the gear colors. I'm really trying to enjoy blacksmithing, but with having no idea what my crafted gear is gunna come out looking like, It's just not fun. It sure isn't coming out as the represented colors in the game prior to crafting the item.

ZENIMAX HAAAALLLLPPP! WHAT'S GOING ON HERE???

You honestly don't see how they are setting us up for dyes?
  • Appalachian
Hopefully they'll just give us the dye system they've been talking about soon.

I understand how you feel completely though, it's really hard to play with some of these ugly colors taking away from your characters "look" and distracting you when you're in 3rd person.

How about adding the WONDERFUL feature that Ultima Online had:

    SMELTING ARMOR :p
    DYE BUCKETS
    HOUSING with crafting stations ;-)

That might just be for the ore, but a thought. I, however, don't think it would work in the current scheme of crafting mechanics.

I just like a lot of things that UO had for players [Zenimax? How about contacting some retired UO programmers for feedback?]

many, especially non VR players _including myself_ are dissatisfied with this new "color scheme change". I believe this is the largest thread on the matter
    http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/100989/low-level-armors-color-schemes-nerfed-by-craglorn-update

the armor colors are so drab, washed out and faded now.
