Getting sick of green gear

Since the last patch, most of the armor I craft is green of some shade. It didn't do it before the last patch. Prior the patch, the armor I created would look much like the example picture in the craft window.

Here's an example of what I'm talking about. I got the Ice Furnace grear and created a helmet and pants to go with it and, if it didn't come out in gold, I was going to be just as happy with the normal silver, but got the gross green AGAIN. I see this green all over since the patch, making it seem like variety out there. Someone told me it may be the game no properly rendering the right textures and others are having the same problem.

It would be nice to hear from the Devs to see if this is a know issue. If it's going to be fixed, if I need to reinstall the game, etc. Don't know what to do about this sea of green :'(

Hopefully they'll just give us the dye system they've been talking about soon.

I understand how you feel completely though, it's really hard to play with some of these ugly colors taking away from your characters "look" and distracting you when you're in 3rd person.

The color shading also depends on *where* you make the set. Try a different zone and see if the green goes away ...

Really? I didn't know that at all, crazy! Do you know of any website that has the colors documented?

Thanks for the idea...went to another zone and still the gross green. I just can't seem to escape it. Wish I knew what was going on.

Another shot, different race...same green. I don't feel like crafting anymore as I can't escape the green!

Zenimax...should I re-install? Any idea what the issue is?

Well, that *used* to work (different colors in different zones) but who knows, maybe that was a bug, maybe the new green is a bug.

    We'll probably never know ...

I'm sure seeing green gears must be annoying as hell, but out of all the bugs and issue people are having lately, I think this is the lowest priority to fix. Just think of it this way, at least you get to play the game unlike some who are lockedout :p

This isn't funny anymore...crafted this up to blue item. I also don't agree with armor not being a priority. With motifs going for high prices and people grinding for better gear...gear is always top priority, and this issue is really ticking me off.

Well that's one way to lose your helmet in a fight, stick big horns on it so it can be knocked off.
    Silly design.

My understanding is that colours are tied to gear level, so you just might be on the "green tier" right now. Have you tried to craft lower level gear to see if they turn out to be green also?

Color does NOT change when crafting in different zones. This is utter bs.

Color DOES change with level of crafted item as well as rarity of crafted item. Dropped items do NOT change in color from rarity upgrades.

What are you talking about man... its blue, ALL blue I'm telling you !
    (wife whispers in ear)
Oh hang on I'd forgotten I'm colour blind, you are correct its green....lol

Seriously though, yes enough is enough. Please Zeni, hurry up with the dyes system or at least add some diversity into the colour schemes.

Once you get into VR8-12 it'll all change to blue (no colourblind joke).

That's exactly what I meant. The Void Ingots and Void Cloth (or whatever it is called) make all craftable gear mostly blue. While wearing my heavy armor I look like a metallic smurf. My crafted medium armor uses less blue though.

Most of my VR2-8 gear has had some shade of green after the last patch. I guess we'll see what Voidstone gear looks like once I hit VR10 and craft some. The actual hue or shade changes with the quality of the gear (Green, Blue, purple, orange) But the color itself is about the same.

@BaKaNoOB‌ no, you... silly man you. they mean green as in the colour of the gear itself, not the quality of the gear.

Riiiiiight, take it from the pretty boy, he knows his colors.

While it might not work that way anymore (haven't paid attention to armor colors in a while) i can assure you that at some point in the past, the zone you were in when crafting an armor item *did* indeed affect the color accents of your armor.

My VR3 Dark Elf armor has turned pink. It's green quality. I am afraid it will be purple, pink and green if I upgrade.
