Finally, without warning or notice, I have been able to log in.

Everybody else with error 301 checking, you may want to try.

Will update if I get put back on error 301.

    nope, still can't log in after 2 days, ridiculous this isn't a top priority, i mean bugs are one thing, progression stopping quests is another thing but NOT BEING ABLE TO EVEN PLAY THE GAME while STILL PAYING is a whole other world of annoyance...i SERIOUSLY hope the maintenance to the billing/account server tomorrow is going to fix this issue....

    I know after last patch they changed their ToS and trying to figure out why I cant accept it but some other can which seem to be able and play.

    I strongly suspect that whatever fix is being applied is being applied one account at a time. Its an issue their end that they are not prepared to admit to but its very odd when reading these forums how suddenly one person can log in biut no one else can. Then someone else a while later will post saying he can log in. I could easily be down to where you are in the queue. What I can't understand is why ZOS won't just hold up their hand and say "its our fault and we are trying to fix it ASAP" instead of sending inane standard responses and FAQ's to people.

    I tried to log in on my account with my friend's pc and it didn't work...while he can log with his account on mine pc and his pc..
    So stop saying its my client

    It is probably caused by frozen login sessions on the server... After a server restart, all of us was able to login... for some users the error appeared again after game crash..

    It was just my personal observation until we know what the real issue.
    Since my friend can play and accepted the new ToS but for me it wont even show up so I cant accept or decline it.

    Wanted to see if that was some common ground for people wiht error 301.

    Out of curiosity, were you able to log back in once it had been about....three days?

    That's the amount of time I usually hear from people who are 'randomly' able to log back in, so wondering if it's the same with you.

    Can someone explain this mythical ToS we are supposed to accept? There is no option on the page to accept it at all.

    I didnt know it was a new ToS , until I submitted ticket yesterday for 301 error and got this reply from support:

    "I'm really sorry you are experiencing error 301. In the name of the The Elder Scrolls Online Team I would like to greatly apologize for the inconvenience this has caused.

    Please be aware that this issue can have different causes and solutions. First, please (1) Login in to your account on https://account.elderscrollsonline.com and (2) Sign the new TOS agreement. Then, log back into the game."

    Among other suggestion they asked me to do to see if it helped with my problem.
    1 of the reason I aslo suspected first the new ToS had something to do with the issue of 301.

    Well, I just noticed that the Account page is down for maintenance. Maybe fix is coming?

    Just tried logging back in. Error 301. Three DAYS now. What really chaps my hide is, only an hour before I was no longer able to log on, I plunked down $20 bucks to upgrade to the Imperial Edition. AND on top of that, I noticed that SAME DAY I got charged for my monthly subscription! If I have to cancel my subscription and go back to playing my other game, because at least I CAN play that game, I fully expect to be reimbursed for both my subscription AND my Imperial Edition upgrade, because I have had ZERO hours of game play since the 26th, when my bank account was charged for both.

    Three contacts with "support", who are useless. Along with a lot of other people I tried the mysterious TOS solution. There is NO new TOS, and if you click on the link to the existing TOS, there is no option to agree or sign it. They had me mucking around in my config in another attempt. I am NOT a tech, but I followed their instructions by the letter, and got ZIP results. Just more wasted time. Yesterday I was on hold for over an HOUR, and was finally connected to someone who had ZERO knowledge about how to troubleshoot the problem. Once we figured out HE couldn't figure it out, he promised me to "escalate" my ticket, and that someone would call me back shortly. NO ONE HAS CALLED ME BACK SINCE THEN.

    As observed before, if they would just fess up and admit the problem is on their end, instead of making players jump through hoops in futile attempts to figure out what's wrong on our end (clue: there ISN'T anything wrong on our end), it would be far less aggravating. If they would at least acknowledge that they messed up, and they are working on it, it would be a lot easier to patiently wait for the fix.

    I'm really close to unsubbing. They just charged me another month yet I haven't been able to play. About done with this joke of a company and game.

    No change for me. Still 301. On the other hand I'm not even sure if I already responded to this particular thread already because they all blend together now. In any case my hopes are slowly fading. This was the first game in a long time I've felt was worth subscribing to past the first "free" (included with box purchase) month. Even with and the bugs and balance issues I could have seen myself playing this for a while. But being unable to login is harder to forgive than an ability nerf or issues with broken quests/achievements.

    Have a little hope people, I have heard that there may be some downtime tomorrow at some point to try and fix the problem. Again, its hear-say but, the mods have acknowledged the issue and say that the 301 is their top priority at this point.
    @Phantax - We are aware of both issues you called out: the 301 error and the crashes when forming a large group -- generally more than 12. We have the former called out in this thread, and it is currently our highest priority issue to track down and fix. The latter, as some have mentioned, is a lingering issue we're aware of and working on as well.

    We understand it can sometimes be difficult to find the specific answer you're looking for on a busy forum. We have commented on the 301 issue quite a few times in the past few days. For official posts, we'd recommend checking our Dev Tracker, please.
