The Endless War (Seeds Quest) Tested WORKING Method.

Patch 1.3.3 introduced a fix that should remedy the issue players were having with placing seeds on the dead in the "The Endless War" quest.

If you are still experiencing issues with this quest, you can try the following:

• Kill the monster at the spawn point (do not move away). Wait for it to re-spawn and then target the corpse. When the re-spawned monster auto-attacks, try interacting with the corpse again to place the seed.
• Try to group with other players to progress the quest (friends or players within the instance who may be willing to help).
• As a last resort, abandon the quest and re-acquire it. It is a good practice to record the name of the quest before abandoning, which allows for easier reacquisition of the quest later on if the quest giver is hard to find.
• If these steps do not resolve the issue, you can seek assistance using the /help command in in-game chat or by contacting Customer Support.

@ZOS_HugoP‌ thanks, we know. The patch didn't fix it, I had this issue two days ago.
I'm curious, maybe you can satisfy, is it meant to work this way? I. E. Run the planting action while being attacked by 2 or more mobs?

Yes. that patch fixed it, I know because I was able to do it right after .. a later patch broke it again.

And that seems to be their ongoing problem. They come up with a fix, but then they don't roll it over into the next patch so it gets broken again. It's just crazy that a bug that's been around almost since launch is still causing problems.

I still have the issue.

Btw, when i retake the quest i only get one seed, not six as before on other alt..

The seed does not get used up anymore (which is a good thing). So don't worry about there only being "one" seed.

Basically you chase down the soldiers who are bussy fighting a zombie or undead, kill the soldier, turn to face the undead or zombie, and then use the seed on the soldier's corpse. The undead will display the seed effect, and the quest will move on.
Worked nicely for me tonight.

Just so you know, I have been trying this quest for a week now, have abandoned it and reacquired it several times and it does not work.

Making it so you have to do a corpse dance and trigger the correct corpse while another is attacking you is a pretty dumb way to have a quest complete.

Really, if the game is telling me to use E to plant the seed when looking at a corpse, accept the dang seen then.

I just completed this yesterday. Its not too hard, once you figure out the sequence.

Find a soldier spawn location (seeds don't work on the undead corpses) and kill them. You can't loot the corpse, and don't bother "E"-ing the corpse; simply wait for the respawn. Once they've respawned, let the soldier(s) swing at you and then use the seed (E) on the corpse at your feet. You should see some ghost-like tendrils reach up to the living soldier from the corpse. Kill the living soldier for credit. Rinse and repeat.

As a bonus, the corpses don't disappear as long as you don't move away, so you can loot them all once you successfully harvest the last seed. I ended up getting a blue collectible out of it.

It is very important to note that you can't plant the seeds if there is not still a mob standing very close to one of the corpses. You need to plant the seed while a mob is alive and (probably) aggroing you.

It appears that a fix for this broken quest is not listed in the PTS patch notes. I assume that means that it will still be broken when Update 4 hits next week.
