Craglorn Boss Farming - Working as intended?

Title says it all. I've seen people mention this but I have not seen any threads dedicated to this topic.

In Craglorn you can spawn certain bosses over and over, an example being the Ruins of Kardala. Each boss kill will give the player somewhere between 34-36k experience per kill (forgot the actual amount). Kills being made in around a minute by a 4 man group, you can go from v10-v12 in a matter of several hours. Veteran players under V8 also receive the same amount of experience as any player V8 and above. Where as normally anyone under V8 would have an experience cap (for mobs).

Was this intended? Or is this an exploit? Would be nice to get an official statement on this. If anyone else knows anything please let me know.

    No thats a exploit people were banned for it and more wil probably.
    Also if you even have a small though about asking it here you know its a exploit.

    Yeah this was rolled out on PTS. Ghosts drop the items that it takes to summon the boss. No banning should happen due to the mechanics that Zenimax created and tested.

    I have learned that everyone that questions or critizises this boss farming is just jealous of the great players that are rightfully doing this.
    Instead of moaning we should just race to V12 before the new content is coming out. That is the only way to take advantage of this that is rightfully to be taken advantage of.
    Leveling slow is punished because it will be nerfed after a week or two.

    Even if you are banned for it you will be unbanned, because all your friends are doing it too, and that makes it allright.

    I even got kicked out of a guild yesterday for wrongfully reminding people they should play fair, and have honor,
    And yes, there is a real person behind this post that loves this game and spend every free hour playing it, this is not a troll post.
    It will be the last one i make on this subject however, because it doesn't make any difference.

    well, it still needs 4 players, that fact they can somehow find a group, using this atrocious grouping tool, shows they deserve the xp.

    seriously, if they kill the same monster, why should they get less exp?

    Just because you leveled to V10 slowly so others should never be fast?

    This is mmo, it changes from patch to patch. live with it.

    Hi, i just played for 2 hours without crashing, found a motif, enjoyed running on the beach without seeing any bots and finding ore everywhere.

    All of this, hopefully because of the patch and the hotfixes that came out.

    I am sorry about my sour posts, i honestly don't care what other people do or loot, as long as i can play the game and enjoy it.

    Thumbs up to zenimax for making the game work again, it had restored my trust in them,

    Good luck to you all that are still facing problems,
    I am going to play and not post sour things about bots and exploiters anymore :-)

    It doesn't really matter if it's an exploit or not if so many people are doing it that they can't all be realistically rolled back or banned. As long as they can use the old plausible deniability defense, aka "Creative Use of Game Mechanics," (much like the obligatory insanity defense in a murder trial) then there's usually safety in numbers unfortunately.

    It sounds to me like they are just gonna fix it, and not go into all of this intended stuff because it is obviously a bug. That can be squashed.

    Just for clarity's sake, you don't receive the same experience. I assume you never bothered to try it before you came here saying you do. You get 8850 per kill at V1/V2. Bumps up to 22.5k per kill at V3. It's 37k+ at V10 (which I believe starts at V7, not V8).

    But the exp is certainly scaled to your vet level.

    still at this point one has to ask himself why so many people jumped on it if it was an exploit... if anything from my point of view veteran questing is an exploitation of players time and patience and should be nerfed :trollface: how about we triple the exp gain from quest there so instead of falling back 1 or 2 level the moment you reach the next zone you actualy are at least the same lvl of the mob you fight?

    People are ragequiting the game because of veteran level... you are loosing tons of subscribtion because of how ridiculusly harsh it is made (did i mention its easyer to fight a pack of six vet 12 hound then four vet 5 sabercat?). If it comes down to the fact legit people would rather get themselves banned risking themselve at using potential exploit to gain a level up maybe its time you review how pre craglorn vet content works.

    Yeap, seems like waiting until VR10 was a stupid choice seeing ZOS wont ever ban a single account for exploiting.

    lets put it this way this game punish multiplayer by making people unable to band up togueter to do very ridiculus challange like veteran contant thanks to instanced zone (this alone is a very bad point wich make veteran even more of a cheap shot). Second only way to gain veteran lvl is to grind out quest in vet wich itself will keep most people at bay from end game content due to build or character issue. Third cyrodiil gives so little vet exp it will take you week to even get one level, so tell me people why are we even bothering to play their vet content in the first place. Dont even bother saying you do it for the gold... this is a waste of cash you will likely make more money by farming reg content especialy with the repair cost, add to that the fact half the class arent even balanced and cant get the things done.

    Now farming exp in craglorn was fun weither it be anomaly or dungeon because the game is NOT instanced and allow you to group togueter with people all over the place and as such makes challange acceptable. People from all level would rather play in craglorn then waste their time in your veteran alliance zone doing quest they already done 100 of time before. People need a quick alternative to lvl up that isnt called cyrodiil or quest and that will remain true until vet content become actualy ''fun'' to play.

    It's been fixed. Magically they patched this correctly, yet failed all the other patches :p

    What this should tell us is they deliberately patch the game to not work :3

    I grouped with guildmates who among them were V4 and V5 and they both reported they were receiving the amount of experience as I was. So yes, V3 and under I have no knowledge of. That's why I was asking. Thanks for the info.

    well yeah thats why you get ZOS mods chiming in saying "have you tried the most obvious fix?" because most people are not aware of the steps or are over thinking an issue that could be easily fixed. Why do you think all customer supports start off by process of elimination, cuz people explain thing in a way a five year old would most of the time. So I guess I reiterate.

    How in the world did you come up with this conclusion, in what good business sense does this seem like a move some one would sensibly make.
