InventorySlot.lua Weapon Swap error

So this error started occuring the other day on my DK alt. Every now and then. Now on my Nightblade. Since this patch-wreck it's constant. I have zero addons currently running and after a random amount of time playing a massive box pops up in the middle of my screen blocking the view of the game when I weaponswap.

Previously I downloaded bugeater so that it wouldn't get in the way but that still just plastered the chat window with the error because once it starts... it doesn't stop.

To trigger it early I just open the inventory and mouse around a bit whilst weaponswapping. Then I'll get the error. And it may or may not go away. If I play normally it'll just suddenly start and won't go away without a UI reload.

The error comes from this line apparently.
"EsoUI/Ingame/Inventory/InventorySlot.lua:2035: in function 'OnActiveWeaponPairChanged'"

There's another post in German about it somewhere and some discussion on an addon site where everyone was trying to work out if it was their addon or not. Well it's not. It's your game. I submitted a bug report with screenshot but now I basically can't play the game.

Is there a corrupt file or something? What started this and how can I get my game working again? It's creeping across characters so it's not related to an item I shouldn't think.
