Most surveys ask for age or age range, it's a pretty standard question.

They also typically have a "Prefer not to say option".

What does someone knowing your age do to you? Never understand why people want that number kept a secret.

I totally agree. I was 70 the other week and proud of it, it's important that developers know that they aren't just catering to the young "instant gratification" crowd

I told them I wasn't buying Greymoor until its heavily discounted, so I assume that makes my preorder thoughts a moot point. I still selected them based on categories: I like costumes and mounts and I've preordered other chapters that were decently priced for the mounts/styles in the past.

I laughed at the treasure map, though. Like, who really buys the preorder for a couple CE maps that don't even have zone set gear?

I received one and I complain all the time. I always make my complaints constructive though with a reason and a possible solution instead of just saying this sucks etc..

Look in your junk folder or even promotional one. I would expect every player to get one or at least ESO+ players to get one.

Do you seriously think they cherry-picked the recipients based on scouring the forums for critical posts? If they did, how come there's a question in the survey about performance?

Normally the mount would be the most important to me; then crate; then costume.
But the horse mount from Greymoor has weird horns on it's head armor. I've used that mount only few times and kind of forgot about it; it doesn't have value for me as part of pre-order bonus this time, and I would never pre-order chapter just for this mount.
The costume doesn't dye too well (as I saw on PTS)

I think in that survey, (Other) option with form for text would be nice.

I'm curious OP, if you don't want pets, costumes, treasure maps (lol), xp scrolls, mounts, adornments, or preview crown crates as a pre-order bonus, what would you like to see as a pre-order bonus? Or do you just care for any type of pre-order bonus?

The questions were probably more asking what type of thing do you like, so they get feedback on what to add in future pre-order bonuses, since it wouldn't make sense to have more skyrim-themed pre-order bonuses for a future chapter in say, Black Marsh.

You should be able to pass on that question unless they give an option to note none of it interests you. The question gives the impression that what one person ranks as #1 is equal to what another person ranks #1. The better solution would be permitting someone to rank each individually between 1 and 5 to denote very interested to not interested.

Even in the context of what they are looking for, I think all the pre-order bonus is pretty much junk. Previous years they had some decent mounts but that was less so last year and even worse this year.

So I very much agree with OP

There is nothing unique about any of the items. All the pets and mounts they have been coming out with are just reskinned frames. Go back as far as the murkmire dlc they gave away for free and look at the bear lizard... They are reusing and recycling for some time and have really added very little that is new or ineteresting. There is a def lack of creativity.
