No, I know NB's may eventually be buffed too much (although they're buffing slowly in order to prevent this), but talking about NB nerfs before we're even buffed to an OP stage is literally ridiculous.
And to that I say,
gtfo.

Apparently soul strike and volcanic rune
Aye i can understand ever so slightly soul strike but volcanic rune is just ridiculous their is nothing OP about that.
Its cool.
Gloat all you want man. You've done nothing but prove that ZOS has no idea what they're doing. They listen to whiney bads who cry loudly on the internet instead of making actual balance decisions based on quality feedback.
The only thing that matters now is mob rule. Whatever people cry about the most, ZOS will "fix."
You're happy about it now but you won't be when its something that affects you.
I've cancelled my recurring subscription. I've got a lot of game time left in which I could reactivate it, but if ZOS's procedure with this kind of thing remains the same, I won't be continuing with this game.
Its not just because of Bolt Escape. Its been an ongoing thing since Beta where they seem to make poor balance decisions (not to mention they've been slower than I hope in adding content I'm excited for like the Crime System or have completely ignored content that is fundamental to what an MMO is to me, ie. dueling.)
As an example, there were threads throughout the closed Beta about how Destructive Touch was prohibitively expensive for the utility it gave. There seemed to be something of a consensus (among intelligent and experienced testers) that it could use a cost decrease. Then, shortly after launch, they increased the cost.
Its just stuff like that.
The BE thing won't affect my build all that much. You can ask my guildies, I stopped using it as a mainstay in my build a while ago (though I still swap it in sometimes) because there are simply better things I can put there. But it does reinforce my opinion that they have absolutely no idea how to balance their game.
You might think "majority rule" would be a good way to keep customers and thus be good for business. You'd be wrong.
The majority of players understand absolutely nothing about the game, its mechanics, its meta-balance, ect. Really, they don't. They play and then they complain about things that they were personally frustrated with and that's their idea of balance. They give very little consideration to changing the way they play, counters, group dynamics, ect. Its just a pure "frustration---->complain on forum" calculation.
Good developers can distinguish between good and bad feedback, no matter how many people are saying it. Its not whether the feedback is "articulate" that matters, its whether any proposed changes make good arguments and provide solid evidence (not anecdotes) to back their propositions.
Its cool.

@NordJitsu
Wasn't OP the same guy who was trolling another BE thread with his vacuous 'magic is for wussies and melee is for men.' Bull****? Or was that someone else?
@bg22
Congratz on championing the BE nerf! I'd give you a pat on the back but I don't want to catch a case of the brain-dead.
This is really a minor nerf and doesn't change anything at all. Sorcs who want to run away will still continue to do so. Even if the cost for BE was scaling, sorcs would still run. That's how runners do.
It's people like yourself that are now calling for skills such as Soul Assault and Volcanic Rune to be nerfed. Both skills available to everyone and easily dealt with. When does it end?

Interesting he never asked for a nerf to those abilities. But if there is an exploit of them then yes that needs fixing. The people who want those exploits to go untouched are the ones who ruin the health of the game. Why is this so hard for people to see.
Its not just because of Bolt Escape. So, a little while ago, I had mentioned that I believed a fair nerf for BE would be to increase it's cost by 1.5x per cast within 5 seconds of itself, and that's what they're doing. (Although it's within 4 seconds, I'll still take it).
I just wanted to say
AWESOME
and Thank you, Zenimax, for listening.
Whether this was already a nerf in progress or it derived from my thread, it is greatly welcomed.
And last but not least, @NordJitsu - I told ya so.

I do believe I said "It's people like yourself." Meaning the mob crying about something and mother hen ZOS attending to them.
There are no exploits with either one of those skills, just people crying about them. QQ, QQ, QQ. It's the nerf this, nerf that crowd that ruins the health of a game.
@bg22 Speaking as if you don't have an obvious bias in the matter, what with threads like this you make frequently: http://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/discussion/107893/dk-nerf-complaint-threads-and-the-joy-they-bring#latest
So no. I really don't see much of a difference. You're a borderline troll that likes to stroke his own ego.

You mean the instant cast ranged knockback? Lol really?
Maybe you should make a Dojo video to tell sorcs how to play with the BE cost increase, instead of propaganda videos telling other classes you don't play ineffective theory craft.
