Today is the second day, that I have not been able to login to the EU servers.
Tried several times, and all I get is:
Login :Timed Out
Login: Error 301
Login :Timed Out
Login: Error 301
Login :Timed Out
Login: Error 301
Login :Timed Out
Login: Error 301

Why is this issue being ignored, when so many of your paying customers are experiencing the same problems?

EDIT: Ticket number: 140524-015871.

Have you verified you LAN and internet connections are stable? It seems to me as if you computer can't find the servers, hence the "Login timeout" or that it drops connection or looses network packets during the signin process, which can result it in the 301 error.

My bet would be to try and reset your router if you haven't yet and make sure you're not having a firewall that is possibly blocking connections with ESO servers.

It's verified by multiple users that it has absolutely nothing to do with PC settings or LAN settings. Many people have 2 different accounts.. one working and one not working.

I've tried it all. Have a 60Mbits cable modem line with no issues what so ever with all other games and internet services. So it is a server side issue, rather than a local (as seen with alot of the other postings in this forum).

Okay, considering resetting routers and such and especially considering cases where multiple accounts on the same machine have been tested and one works, whereas the other doesn't I can only conclude it's trouble with their servers, rather then player side issues.

In some cases, where these issues happened before it was an client side issue where a router or wifi connection would misbehave, triggering the exact same errors. So just wanted to check.

    Tried this fix:
    1. Close both the game and the launcher
    2. Open the game installation directory
    3. Open the folder named "Launcher"
    4. Inside the "Launcher" folder, there is a folder named "ProgramData"
    5. Rename the "ProgramData" folder to "ProgramDataBackup"
    6. Open the launcher and download update
    7. Click "Play"

No dice, Bob - still can't login. On the edge of quitting this silly charade...

If anyone would like to try for themselves, here's what the suggested course of action is:

"Please, can you try disabling or reducing your firewall, and then attempt to log in again.

You can also try logging out, resetting your modem, and then logging back in.

Can you also try a repair, as the files may not have downloaded correctly in the patch:

Start The Elder Scrolls Online launcher. Click the Game Options dropdown menu in the center column and select the Repair option. Allow the launcher to examine all the files for the game. If any files are found to have problems, the launcher will re-download those files. This can look like it is restarting the entire process however it is not."

I hope this will help some of you...

I've tried repair, tried adding exceptions to my antivirus, tried, tried, tired of trying.

I was able to play all day yesterday after the 1.1.2 patch, had one crash that I was able to log in after and played some more. Shut down and when I attempted to log in this morning got the login timeout. Really hoping Zenimax is furiously working on this thing...

not working on it as of yet, and from posts they have not even really acknowledged the problem yet just stated that they will continue to monitor posts and tickets about the problem,im guessing to get a better grasp of what exactly is happening,i think once they acknowledge the problem is with our accounts on there end and not ours we will get somewhere.

Hey there, everyone. If you're experiencing error 301, we'd like to ask you to try logging into the account page. Once you log in, you may be prompted to review the Terms of Service. If so, please accept them and then try to log back into the game client -- this has worked for some users.

Rest assured, we're still investigating the cause of the issue, and we'll provide an update as soon as we can. Thank you all again for your patience.
