Nah needs to be more like 5-6 AM EDT
You may still experience an hour or so of maintenance, but you'll be asleep for 2-3 of the first hours.

Every other game that runs on a Pacific timezone schedule(WoW, EQ2 and other SOE games, etc) (company located on west coast, SOE is in San Diego and Blizzard in Irvine) does their maintenance at 5 am PDT most days. Patch days it starts at 3a for Blizzard.

That lines up with... 8 am on the east coast.

And I very rarely see kvetching, except from the Australians of course. And the Oceanic servers in WoW are on a different maintenance schedule if I remember right....

Way back in the when, when Blizzard was still having maintenance time fluctuations, they looked at the data of server load and determined when the least amount of players was online.

This time was 5 am Pacific time on Tuesday.

I'm pretty sure ZOS is doing the same thing, choosing time based on server load. 8 am on a weekday should be when majority is getting ready to go to work or school.

Also, my friend in Europe got home today and can't play. You don't see him complaining about NA server times. It's 9 pm in central Europe.

lol, since when did the workers decide when they work? Pretty sure a business doesnt shut down in the middle of the F***ing day to do construction. It shuts that S*** down at night when they have minimal losses.

OMG.. the construction company shut down the road you need to drive on so that they can fix the potholes.

Well, guess what? deal with it.

I Speed in Constuction zones while Workers are present.

And this folks, is why CalTrans workers are paid so much.

High risk work zone. Because of people that do this crap.

After a decade in MMORPGs I have a rule of "don't expect to play on game/expansion launch or patch day".

The sooner one takes up that rule the better off they are.

Wow... MTS is the most entitled adult ever. Probably stands outside of the burning houses too and informs his co-workers that it really isn't a convenient time for him to pack up.

I get to sit in a shack, waiting 12 hours a day/night... just in case a fire needs to be battled on the oilrig, when ESO is down for maintenance I read a book, or brush up on safety procedures, conduct a drill, exercise, make some food, check the safety equipment... so on and so forth.

Seems to me that you really suck at being a firefighter, also if your comment about *** is any indication, you suck at being a human being too.

Maintenance schedules aren't going to work for everyone, 8AM EDT is low traffic time, so that is the BEST time to do it... don't like it go elsewhere.

View point threads are the best. Good thing they can data pull and see that 8a.m. is the least populated time so they do maintenance at that time. Otherwise if they listened to the customers, we would never have maintenance ever.

Yeah, the 8 A.M maintenance ruined my early morning crafting. Got up five minutes before the maintenance started and was kicked off before I was even able to check my mail. Earlier morning maintenance would be better so I could start the patch download before having to leave for school...
