Exactly, I don't have to play it. So I can and will continue to criticize it, especially when ZOS feels the need to force it upon me every so often to provide data for a better experience in a game mode I neither want nor care about.
Also Vengeance coldfire is less effective than stacked coldfire in Gray Host. I use 4-8 of them to make an entire faction suffer when they roll up to KC/Farra. But it's their fault for not using siege. It's their fault for not using siege shield. And before anyone say it isn't skillful, can you do it? Can you take on 25+ with siege by yourself?
Vengeance doesn't allow that kind of counter to numbers. Where I can just fire siege and wipe them out. Instead, I just wait for my death while an army of people have no threat of dying thanks to damage caps and other cheese baked into the system and rules of the camp.
I cannot be convinced that Vengeance is balanced or equivalent when it has a greater population cap , and numbers on it can shift hard to one population versus the others esp. in events like Midyear Mayhem.
And, apparently it's not just me that can't be convinced, which is why it's a dead campaign. Too bad ZOS didn't force it on Midyear, if they had, they could have said the successful test was successful.5 -

ZOS keeps removing GH from the game to force people into vengeance almost nobody wants to play. Even with this years MYM ZOS refused to add additional camps for the overflow from GH and Blackreach, which are pop locking well before most can get home from work to play.
The shameless shilling from the handful of vengeance advocates is highly transparent and not factually reflective of what's going on with ZOS trying to force vengeance on everyone at the expense of the PvP we bought the game to play.6 -

I no longer believe vengeance is being used to improve aspects of GH, as ZOS originally said was it's purpose. I don't know how anyone could believe this given how the last year of vengeance has played out. If it were, where are these improvements taking place and in what form?
I believe it's you and those still thinking vengeance is somehow going to be used to improve GH that are being naive and ignoring history. Either that or you see exactly where this is going and your just lobbying for GH to be shut down for some personal reason.

GH (no mind the name) is the vanilla pvp etablished since begin and the reason why a lot of people bought that game.
The fact they REFUSE to actively work on it to be improved but instead trying to FORCE us into a new system by removing gh for „tests“ is scandalous.

If MS looked at season 1 content from the perspective of the customer it's no wonder so many people were laid off, that's for sure. But I think the reality is just much worse than that. It looks like MS is going all in on a losing proposition with AI, which is a much bigger mistake than just bad management of one game studio.
From the standpoint of a 12 year customer most of the "strategic" planning happening at ZOS is mystifying. Removing a game mode people have been playing for 12 years so they can force something nobody wants is not how businesses stay in business.

Exactly, ZOS came for my recursive builds not because they could kill a PvP in 2-3 seconds but because I could kill Tho'at on upper cycles in 10 seconds.
ZOS came for my DoTs not because PvPers complained about it, but the official reason was to "make PvE roatations easier."
ZOS came for CP 1.0 not because it made all PvPers formidable, but because sustain was so trivialized in PvE that everyone was running full damage (and it was to address powercreep there, and now we have even worse powercreep due to mythics and sets; go figure).
Etc.
PvE is the source of most of the nerfs. And even if a nerf does happen because of PvP, there's a lot of overlap in most of those cases anyway that then justify the nerf. But that isn't true the other way around.0 -

The PvE players ARE NOT victims of the PvP community. If anything it's the other way around. ZOS caters to the PvE players as if they're the only customers who matter. Vengeance is for the PvE players. Those of us who PvP are looking at a queue of 50 in Blackreach and 130 in GH as I type this, else I would be in game playing.
Where in the post you replied to did the writer call PvE players victims of the PvP community? It is a fact that GreyHost nerfs affect rest of the game because it uses same system as rest of the game while Vengeance nerfs only affect Vengeance.
And fighting other players is PvP and not PvE no matter if you use templates or farmed builds.
You didnt mention queue in Evergloam so Vengeance haters should be able to PvP there.PC EU0 -

Why are you so blinded by hate from real PvP? GH existing has zero effect on you. Can't say the same about vengeance not impacting GH, so it's reasonable for people to take issue with vengeance for several reasons.

In your post you've also attempted to make the case that PvE players of victims of the PvP community. The tired straw man argument that PvE suffers from nerfs due to gear over performing in PvP doesn't work. Sets are nerfed because they are OP. It's just that most PvE players don't understand how to get the same level of performance out of their builds that the PvP players know how to get, so the OP nature of sets don't show up as much in PvE.
