The Shivering Isles.

The Shivering Isles in Sheogorath's questline resemble Vvardenfell too much.

Is that the Violet Vvardvark Inn? If so, it actually is in Vvardenfell - you don't get to the Shivering Isles until the final stage of the quest line ("The Last Laugh"). I don't remember an inn once you actually landed in the Shivering Isles.

    I agree.

But I also think what we actually saw of the Shivering Isles in the last quest looked too much like Vvardenfell. The structures were all just reused Telvanni buildings. And those have a too specific look to just be reused somewhere completely different, in my opinion. And yes, I know the daedric princes can recreate any mortal architecture they want, but I would still have prefered something that looks more unique and not just like another part of Telvanni Peninsula. Just making the sky look more alien could have already helped changing the atmosphere.

The forceful expression of will gives true honor to the Ancestors.
    Sarayn Andrethi, Telvanni mage (Main)
Darvasa Andrethi, his "I'm NOT a Necromancer!" sister
    Malacar Sunavarlas, Altmer Ayleid vampire
Soris Rethandus, a Sleeper not yet awake

Yeah. IMO they were better off, if they were to reuse assets for the buildings, to go with the Colovian/Leyawiin/High Isle style ones or something that better matched the buildings shown in the Shivering Isles settlements in TES4.

That isn't to say the buildings would necessarily look the same across different times, but it would be better than using the Telvanni style.

Ah, good points. Now I'm wondering about the style for the buildings we saw during the Mages Guild quest line. It would seem that visitors to the Shivering Isles get something similar to wherever they travelled in from?

I remember it being base game Altmer style.

The Shivering Shack had booknadoes and towering stacks of books and Sheogorath has a personal tomeshell. It looked like a purple version of Apocrypha there. I mentioned this in another thread. Why is he using Hermeaus Mora’s stuff?

My guess is when the AI created the special quest zones like the Shivering Shack and the tiny piece of the Shivering Isles it was not coached properly or given access to enough information.

If they wanted the cheese thing so much, why not make the final set piece set on a moon made of CHEESE? that would require making new assets of course, for a relatively short quest line that's almost completely reusing old locations and assets, but it would have at least been a bit funny

A MOON made of CHEESE, and it's a Daedric realm, so the sky can be purple with floating islands of other cheese, maybe even different kinds of cheese? (Yellow, White, Red wax cheese)

Complete with rivers of molten cheese flowing down from a cheese volcano. Bring your fondue forks!
