Can you please add Werewolf to Vengeance?

This isn't the first time I've made a thread like this, but it needs to be said again now that Vengeance is a permanent campaign.

Many of us Werewolf players (even before the Update 50 Werewolf refresh) refused to play in Vengeance because of the lack of playable werewolves in Vengeance.

Please consider creating Vengeance variations of Werewolf skills and mechanics so that we would be more likely to spend time in Vengeance. Thanks!

For reference, this is the last we've heard on the subject:
Can you please add Werewolves to Vengeance?
At some point, we would like to add both Werewolves and Vampires to Vengeance as resources are available.

I know the "as resources are available" bit carries a bit more weight now than it did back then, but I want to stress that there is a very dedicated community of players who would consider resources spent towards this goal to be well spent. I'd certainly exclusively use the Vengeance Werewolf skill line if I had access to it.

I recognize that this upcoming test is focused on testing Item Sets, so it wouldn't make sense to add Vengeance Werewolf and Vengeance Vampire right now (especially considering both would need to have been added by Update 50 to be present during this test) but I'm hoping that the team won't forget about these two skill lines going forward.

Resources better spent on overall class reworks instead of a specific game mode that has to be forced on players for any real relevance.

Also, the WW in Vengeance would have to look nothing like it does on live to be "balanced" by the ruleset, which would then make it useless and fill the forums with complaints by players being carried by it right now.

    Summary: waste of time.

I disagree that it’s a waste of time. It’s a viable playstyle that a lot of players enjoy and would incentivize further vengeance play.

It would be tweaked same-as all other “classes” in that field of play.

It also should be relatively simple given that the spec itself has already been reworked and most of what they’d want to do would be numbers adjustments to fit the scope (similar capacity to how DK was updated with rework on Vengeance, from my knowledge).

Summary: you should just stick to siege my friend, as you have mentioned numerous times on this forum.

I meant resources overall are being wasted on Vengeance, and it seems the majority of the forums has the same opinion that I do. Tough.

If we're going to deal with Vengeance, we should at least have playable Werewolves and Vampires.

Imagine if they just didn't have Class skills for the Class you played while in Vengeance. As in, you could only use non-Class Vengeance skills because your Class didn't exist. That's what it feels like to not be able to play some version of our Werewolf or Vampire builds in Vengeance.

I don't have to imagine; I don't have the ability to fire 6 coldfires siege in Vengeance. Sieging is my class.

So you would agree with me that these playstyles should be added to Vengeance in some manner, presumably.

As far as siege weapons go, I can't imagine they contribute that heavily to the server calculations. I'm sure we'll get proper siege in Vengeance one day.

Under normal circumstances, it would be good to add werewolf and vampire to Vengeance.

    It is not normal circumstances.

The Combat Tram honestly should drop everything else in order to focus exclusively on balance and the Class Refreshes. Anything that does not involve balance or Refreshes needs to be put in the “we’ll get to it once the refreshes are done” pile.

Just consider how many people are affected: how many people play werewolf in PvP AND desire to play Vengeance AND are not able to play because their Class is not available? Versus how many people play the Sorcerer class in any aspect of the game at all?

The January shakeup really talked about “wanting agile development.” Well, here’s something that requires agility - with the horrific news of the layoffs, literally nothing else is as important as the Class Refreshes, so pretty well every available person should be redirected there. Note that I’m not saying “hurr durr put the art people on combat balance!” (but they should be making the new effects and animations…), but the Combat Team should not have some people on refreshes and some on other tasks like Vengeance additions; they should split all Combat people onto the remaining refreshes to get them out.

I've seen what the new WW can do.

I've seen the restrictions of Vengeance.

It would be ONLY WWs after 3 days. You couldn't neuter them enough to fit in the parameters.

Vengeance balancing is a different subject of discussion. How Vengeance Werewolf would be implemented and balanced is anyone's guess, but we can presume it will be optimized like all of the other abilities so it wouldn't be detrimental to performance. This may mean Vengeance Werewolf functions radically different from regular Werewolf; I can see the Blood Hunger mechanic going away, and the abilities themselves making up for the loss of passives.

We shouldn't expect all of Vengeance PvP to flock to Vengeance Werewolf.
