PSA British law change means group finder can't be used if player hasn't shown Microsoft their ID

With all the age restriction going on in Britain, groupfinder and group invites from guild mates and randoms don't work if the account holder hasn't verified their age to microsoft (it locks privacy to custom/a child account). This means you might have someone Xing for group and it autodeclines without telling the person it declined a group invite. Just a PSA so international guildies don't get too frustrated when trying to group with someone who is asking for an invite and seemingly not taking it.

It changes privacy settings and privacy settings on the xbox account affect in game features.

I assume this is for people playing on the Xbox servers, not for PC or Playstation.

If it's related to the planned social media ban in the UK that's a massive over-reaction from Microsoft.

Firstly the law hasn't even been finalised yet, let alone come into effect. It's not due to start until sometime next year at the earliest.

Secondly while they haven't finalised how it will work (or even which sites are affected) the government have said gaming platforms won't be included.

Also ESO is rated 18+ in Europe and that's legally enforced at the point of sale in the UK, so officially anyone affected by the social media ban shouldn't be playing it anyway. Obviously they do, but I think it means ZOS would be well within their rights to say responsibility for that lies with the person who supplied them a game they cannot legally buy.
