Do we have any information on this trial? I see nothing in either version of the notes and I can't find a video on it anywhere. There are no sets listed for the trial in the notes, it's not in the set directory in collections, and I can't find it in game either.

It's an encounter designed for the Night Market for an instanced group of 12, but it's not a Trial as we know it, just like the 4-man ones are not Dungeons as we know them.
I'm assuming it's just a single boss fight. There wouldn't be any videos at this point though since it literally just came live less than an hour ago and people would still need to get their groups together and do it. Maybe by tonight you'll see some videos.1 -

From what I at first glance seem to understand, is that there are 2 Wandering Bosses in each district (bottom row), represented by the following icon:
Defeating them allows access to the 4-player instances (Group Dungeon icons on the map, middle row in the screenshot), allowing us to defeat the bosses there. Once all 3 are defeated, access to the 12-player Opulent Ordeal should be granted (Trial icon on the map, top icon on the screenshot).

Nope. As far as I can tell, it's a hideous grind just to access the instanced content. It's like they learned all the wrong lessons from the failures of Bastion Nymic and Writhing Wall.

Yes, but after completing the trial you have to once again do the district bosses to gain access to the 3 dungeons and then you have to do those 3 dungeons to once again gain access to the trial. You get the grind part now?0
