I'm sorry.. But this is another piece of crap.
Guess it's fun for streamers with 11 elite friends, who doesn't do anything else.
But for one such as me, who doesn't have 11 elite coordinated friends, its just death by first monster.
Mediocre players don't stand a chance.
If you can't solo a ultra hard mode 12 man trial, then you probably shouldn't participate.
The curve from mediocre to "whatever next level is" is impossibly steep.

Thank you for the new content.

However, like others have said, the content is much too difficult. The zone is very interesting, and there are plenty of activites out and about, but discovery and exploration are discouraged by mobs that nearly one-shot you.

I think the best thing the devs could do is take the current difficulty or maybe even bump it up a little, call it Veteran, and then make a new, toned down version and make that Normal.
    Hoping for more playable races.

I just want werewolf to be viable in endgame PvE T.T (which not allowed according to PTS update 50)

We managed to get a full group of one tank, 3 healers and rest dps tonight from the guild I am in. Saw only few others running around. so this is terrible for ppl who don't get ppl to pre-plan groups.

    goods:
    - It felt like PvP but in PvE, witch I loved alot.
    - As a healer it was really satisfying to be actually useful and I felt my participation mattered.
    - Tank had a blast as well.
    - The Market looks nice and has wide areas for comfortable combat.

    not so good:
    - As soon as we dropped few damage dealers when they left to do other stuff, the fights weren't as enjoyable.
    - The worm is confusing as hell. If half of the group gets in they are easily at the other side of the map when they get out and then you are left with half of the group to try to get back together. Fighting the way to each other takes long as is annoying, when we just want to play as a team.

    the terrible:
    - spawnpoints. We need more of them. Also if you join the group and port to your friend, it still ports you to the market and you have to run alone through the enemies to get to them. You most likely die, and then spawn at the closest, near the entrance, and it doesn't help at all. As a healing main, I ain't killing heck in that place alone.
    - the separate quests. You can share some, that is nice, but again, if you join a bit later, you are missing stuff, you can't just expect whole 11 other ppl to go where just you need to.
    - if you want just pop in and do some quests, it is really hard to do that without a group. The mobs at the entrance alone will get you killed, not to mention to "kill bosses". i want to see a person who easily soloes all bosses. In like an hour.

Overall, I see where you were going with it, I like it _when the conditions are optimal_. But we all know gaming is dynamic. People come and go, and after ppl have gotten what they want, curated overland/dungeon sets are not gonna bring them back, and the sands will rattle with frustrated teeth, when handful of late farmers tries to get things done.

I'm not a trial player. I don't care about meta sets. I went and found a group finder group and this is the most fun I've had in awhile. Night Market has been fun so far

Based on what we're currently seeing, I predict that the order of winning factions will be:

The Thousand Eyes -> The Glittering Goad -> The Ruckus

There's no way The Thousand Eyes will lose this first campaign. They're so far ahead of everyone that it's not a competition. It's basically Vengeance with the faction stacking all over again. It's only fun if you're on the winning team.

Werewolf Should be Allowed to Sneak Prowling added in Update 50!
Please give us Werewolf Skill Styles (for customizing our fur color) Added in Update 50!, Grimoires/Scribing skills (to fill in the holes in our builds), and Companions (to transform with).

So my own opinion is that I don't necessarily mind that the content is difficult and it isn't for solo players, the issue I've run into is that there's literally nobody around in most of these instances.

The few players I see are generally running around solo and confused. Zone chat is dead, LFG is completely ignored. A couple times I've been lucky enough to find a zerg but when people die and respawn somewhere else, it falls apart. Tried a couple group finder groups, but most players left quickly upon seeing the difficulty level and they disbanded. There are simply not enough players in these instances, and you're not going to accomplish anything unless you're lucky enough to have a coordinated group to play with. Unfortunately, that kind of thing is not easy for some of us to schedule.

I don't doubt that groups are having fun, and there may be some instances with groups running, but I cannot seem to find them and this is DoA if it's not something players can just jump into when they have some time to play.

Hmm... After seeing these posts about the difficulty, I'm actually now curious how the difficulty compares to, say, a normal group dungeon (base game, not DLC) or IA cycle-wise.

Wow... people aren't kidding the difficulty level is stupid - haven't died that much in such a short amount of time in forever. Definitely won't be going back in, I'll find it too annoying. I play for fun, not to get angry and frustrated.

I went into Night Market with a friend. We've both been playing for years. Maybe it's "too new" for other players to be in there, but it seems difficult enough that it's just not fun. If he and I are getting killed by basic mobs with our mains, then how many people are we supposed to group with? I have no interest in grouping with strangers.

I'd heard that it was getting adjusted on PTS to be easier but I guess not. Is that change coming? If so, I'll just wait for that.

Also the Night Den seems to be bugged. You cannot select it on the map to port to (PC) and I have only been able to enter it manually, through the front door.

Yeah I'm sadly just not able to participate in this. There's barely any groups for Ruckus, the mobs are way too hard that you would need to be able to do the trifecta endgames just to do this. I'm sorry but I guess I will have to go without doing this sadly and it makes me sad.

I enjoyed it for the most part. Went in solo, found some groups and tagged along with them for a bit. Dropped in and out as I wanted. Annoyed a bit at how frequent death is, but offset reasonably by the respawn point never being too far from the boss locations. Typically you can just res and jump back down immediately. The set items from the reward coffers are a bit of a joke though. The trial and dungeon gear is nice, but who's excited about craftable sets?

Experienced one bug where a boss froze up completely with 1.8% health left but the second try worked fine so no real complaints.

I found that to fast travel to the Night Den from the map, it's one level up. Instead of clicking on the house, if you're one map level higher at the Fargrave map and click the Night Market icon, it gives you the choice of the Night Market or the Night Den.

I'm guessing it's probably this way because once the Night Market event is over, the Night Market icon will be replaced with the Night Den house icon.

Instance populations are way too low for any type of cooperative non-grouped gameplay or even cooperation between different groups. We’ll see what it’s like this evening during prime time or this weekend, but so far zone chat is dead and every area is pretty empty.

Had fun in the zone, but I’ve got to ask: what’s up with the 10 minute cooldown on the lights puzzle in sorrow’s friend? the puzzle isn’t easy and when that’s all that’s left to do in the zone… you just sit there, get 3 tries, fail, and wait… on repeat… forever… 3-4 tries isn’t enough, and the cooldown makes no sense at all. Just let people try it on repeat. The puzzle already resets every attempt, no need to penalise doubly and make it impossible to do under 2 hours…

We all have different game styles we like. And there is nothing wrong with that.
I prefer to solo. I don't mind Zergs like they had in Rift. But this mess is so highly group focused that it is mostly worthless for people who like to solo. If you see a Zerg, but die while in it, you spawn on some platform and it is difficult to get back to the Zerg. This is a stupid mechanic, give us a choice to spawn where we died or Spawn on the platform (just like they do in SWTOR). I mostly agree with newnamtab:
I'm sorry.. Guess it's fun for streamers with 11 elite friends, who doesn't do anything else.
But for one such as me, who doesn't have 11 elite coordinated friends, its just death by first monster...
In the end creating this for those who run in large groups is fine, but don't bill it as soloable. On a positive note getting the new dwelling just for completing the intro was awesome, and that is completely soloable.

I'll repost my feedback from another thread:

It's fine in a group when you have it, which is not always going to be the case. I, of course, cannot solo those bosses, but I can do the trash packs solo. However, they are way too grindy and do not drop anything (same issue as in IA). In addition, they are placed too close to each other, so kiting often engages the next group. Which means going to various objectives inside the district is too tedious (for me at least).

I managed to follow a group for a while, and while that lasted it was nice. However it's not easy to get back if you die and get rezzed at wayshrine. Once I lost the sight of the group, it was back to grinding and using invisibility pots to get to quest objectives.

Edit: and completing those quests got me blue coffers with overland gear??? Why??

Well, i took a look. Not happy at all. Seems to be another only group content. Funny, cause there was no other players, just me. Besides, i hate groups. If i cannot solo it, you can keep it.

Btw. even if it would be possible to solo this in the theory, it's actually not, cause the game keeps stopping. The delay is a catastrophy. Since the last update playing bekame really annoing. The next update should be about the server performace, just saying...

since the earlier thread got closed...

the factions seemed a tad generic, not a major issue but if it becomes a trend for all new content it will become one.

    combat is hard.
i went initially in overland roaming gear and got flattened.
i went in dungeon soloing setup and could beat the groups but the sheer number of CCs made it touch and go.
i'd say the difficulty is somewhat higher than some group dungeons or a run through IA.
    and drops seem scarce,

if this is the future i'll be sticking in the past thanks.

First off, the Curator dialogue topics read as though I'm meant to know about this "Night Market" even though this is the first my character (or I) have heard of it. I have to mention it to him before he even speaks of it.
Second, I've exhausted all dialogue topics he has and yet the quest still tells me to "Talk to the curator".
    Is this thing broken?

Yeah ran in solo, got wrecked by the first group of npcs I ran into, hung around at the respawn for a few mins waiting to see if there was anyone to group with, got bored, logged out, won't be going back.

Thanks for the house I guess.

I originally zoned in by myself and a companion and got my butt handed to me quite quickly. Then I decided to make a run for it and actually managed to zig zag my way around and complete the tasks for the quests they gave me. Did die a few more times doing that but then I saw a massive group of players and decided to follow them around and join in with them. It was actually a lot of fun. I managed to complete a few quests and even got some tome points doing that.

It kind of reminds me of doing those wandering zone bosses in the Deadlands when everyone joins in to take him down. It was fun but as someone who is not in a guild, I can understand why some won't enjoy it.

I just wanted to start that thing. First thing I notice when arriving there is that the Curator's dialogue is unvoiced in German. Is that a bug or is it intended that way?

(PS-NA) Apparently there is no way to leave the Night Market outside of traveling to a home outside of Fargrave from your Collections tab. I should be able to use the wayshrine in the plaza to do so.

Also, as many before have said, if you are solo or even two-player co-oping with a friend, there is pretty much no chance at getting much of anything done. Even running something as inane as repairing the wards means I am dying constantly, cannot outrun/hide the mobs, and most of my gear is broken within five minutes. Two or three hits take out any of the companions I have active, so there's no real help there, either. I swear I was alone in the Parch for a while today because either no other players were given quests to go into the area or they just aren't playing.

Yes, I know this is Day One, but reading that a lot of the same issues I'm having were brought up during PTS is just not a great look and don't entice me to come back to this area, no matter how much I'd love to fully unlock the Night Den. Which is horrible knowing that I'll probably never unlock the three wings or get access to the new safe.

Ok, eventually I've stepped through the portal confused. Inside, I see the curator again. This time he has all the same dialogue, but one extra line that actually makes the conversation make somewhat more sense. And now he tells me to step through the portal, which I had to do to get him to even give me this dialogue. Has anyone tested this before pushing it live? It's entirely confusing.
