The general premise of this didn't interest me a whole lot, but the more I read/hear, the less interested I become.

How are we supposed to source these item sets and other collectibles if the Night Market doesn't become a permanent feature? Will we be forever locked out from acquiring sets that are useful in PvE and PvP?

Would the Gold Coast Bazaar be used to buy the monster sets if the Night Market doesn't return a fourth time?

First impressions aren't great. I had a hell of a time trying to find my group. The initial pop-up to port to the group leader ported me...somewhere, but it wasn't his instance. Second time, I tried porting to someone. Still wasn't in the right instance. Finally, on the third try I got into their instance.

The rewards are also pretty insulting. A blue world drop item that goes for pennies on the trader. It's Destiny's "two tokens and a blue" moment.

So far not enjoying this. You need a zerg to do anything. I’m not completely against the idea of group-centric events but it should not be compulsory.

I do think that solo players should be able to get by somehow, even if they may not be expected to survive everything. I'm not that happy that I can't seem to get some quests done. A few hours in and some parts are already empty.

I also get lost a lot. What's with the unpassable sand walls?

Edit: Also, please make companions a bit more survivable in NM, like they are in IA.

Only positive thing so far is the new house. People are running around, completely confused on what to do and how, because they get killed instantly as soon as they run into some trash. Idk who came up with that idea but it's definetely a really questionable event design.

Here’s my quick feedback from a PlayStation 5 player it’s Way to difficult at base you can’t solo it at default it’s just to hard I can see people being turned away because of this.

Lastly it’s way to empty and people are hard to find unless you have a group your left out and can’t even complete the golden pursuit plus as a solo player how do you even lower the difficulty in the start? Also nothing is explained your thrown into an intro quest not told you should group and I can’t even complete the intro quests because of above say I said it’s way to hard.

Its so hardcore. Its Craglorn 2.0. Those of us that played as Craglorn came out will remember. Craglorn was set up as a harder Zone, the wasps killed you with 1 or 2 hits, after a while ESO toned it down, so i will prob give up on it and wait until the Nerf

I have just returned to eso after a long hiatus and this has interested me. I enjoy the combat, when in a group. The questing part is unbearable to do solo or even duo with my friend. We tried together, we tried in groups. The groups wouldn’t go where we wanted them to and for good reason! Everyone is doing different quests!! I went to another part of the night market and it was empty as hell. I’m seeing like almost a million score but no people?!

A normal / vet mode would be perfect, and it would solve a lot of the problems here. I’m not saying make the enemies boringly easy, but getting almost one shot constantly is getting boring. Fast.

For the quests only thing I’ve found to be useful is to use invis pots and nightblade cloak to stealth around. And that is not fun zos.

I wanted to enjoy this so badly! I’m hoping zos will take our criticisms in and maybe nerf the damage the adds and bosses do. Personally I’m fine with their health, but if people want that nerfed too, that’s fine with me as well.

When choosing a faction, everyone is just choosing the faction leading. Thousand eyes is so far in the lead PS5 NA ATM.

I joined Gold and I hardly ever see anyone. I can solo just fine but everything takes so long to kill without anyone else around.

I assume everyone is doing the Thousand faction.

Also, how does one leave the Night Market zone? I go to the wayshrine and can only scroll through the different sections of the Night Market, but I can't port to Blackwood or anywhere else. I just port to a fellow guild members location to leave zone.

The set items that drop and can be bought through the vendors. Does these change weekly like how IA does it or are we stuck with the same 5 or so sets for the next 49 days?

I’ll wait to give feedback until I get home and have a chance to try it myself, but what I’m hearing is not sounding good so far.

I love Dungeons. BFG HM was one of the best experiences I’ve had in this game. So to see that Dungeons were not making the cut this year was a hard pill to swallow. But even then, we had devs come into the thread to try to reassure us that Night Market would “scratch that itch.”
But… will it really?

On PTS, there was already the argument about the difficulty - a lot of PTS testers (especially for things like this) are top 1%ers in the first place, but ESO also has a large casual population that hates grouping almost as much as they hate PvP. There is no way to make something for everyone here… and as the saying goes, trying to make something for everyone ends up making something for no one.
Who is this designed for? Which subset of the playerbase? Is it useful for that subset? Is it too offensive to other subsets of the playerbase?

I get that ESO has been interested in being more experimental and less formulaic in the shift from Chapters to Seasons. But… there has been a lot that has not exactly been well received (see: the Wall event), and simple bugs like the missing quest starter do not help at all. It just makes it look sloppy. ESO should also realize that playing it safe is not a bad thing. We know we’re getting a zone next year. I hope we get a set of Dungeons as well. I hope we eventually get new Classes and new Companions and new things for PvP and new Tribute decks and things for each group of players, not just things that are planned for everyone but liked by none.

Can you confirm you tried to group with people of other factions (as in, one person sent another a group invite) and it didn’t work?

A handful of mounts. The ones I've found so far are one of my welwas, the IA mount (with the giant, toothy maw down the front - name escapes me at the moment), one of my deer, the spider mount that was recently released through Tomes, I believe. Haven't been able to check for more yet

I really think you all should’ve advertised it as group content instead of not mentioning that at all in advertising and treading the line in streams. I’m seeing a lot of people going in, thinking they can solo, and getting mad about getting curb stomped. You have pop-ups for dungeons and trials saying “you can try to solo but this is for a group”, my opinion is that you should have a similar pop-up for the 3 districts so people can set their expectations.

I’m running with a full group later today and tomorrow, I’ll return with feedback.

Went in, mobs are overtuned, not many people around. Got one shotted and I am geared in good gold sets, not even base WBs hit me that hard soloing them. Trying to group and get quests done when people are at different stages is ridiculous. I avoid group content because I have to go afk quite often and unexpectedly due to RL.

This content looks like a total loss to me, zero interest in it. Base house is nice but not worth pursuing the wings due to the nature of the content. Hard pass.

Yup, when you're stuck doing a quest alone, it's just too difficult to complete it. If you're lucky enough to be with a big group, it can be fun though.

ESO is a big enough game that not every aspect of it needs to appeal to all playstyles. That said, I did not much enjoy my first foray in the NM today. Not writing it off just yet but as a quest and lore-focussed solo player this is not looking like my thing.

Night Market is A TOTAL BUST FOR SOLO PLAYERS.

I tried several times and left and have no plans to go back. I didn't stand a chance.

I cannot see anything for me there as you need to be grouped for everything. I understand now why the Golden last week were all about grouping.

Good luck to all who can do it, but I am writing it off as a bad deal.

I love the night market. Grouping up with guildies and killing, dying, questing, dying, looting, dying is great.
The add respawn rate might be a bit too aggresive for how some quests ask you to look for unmarked objectives, but other than that I truly am having a great time.

EDIT: I forgot another thing. Please make the daily quests you pick up in the 3 zones shareable. It sucks getting a quest from halfway across the map from my groupmates and not being able to share it.

As stated by others, and even on the PTS, the adds respawn way too quickly. especially when i clear a quest objective, i start to click on the quest objective, and get adds spawned upon before the quest completes.

Played when it dropped earlier and jumped on again now and overall... I probably won't play much of it.

Rewards so far are junk I've collected ages ago, and as much as folks say "run with a zerg" .. I haven't seen one yet lol. Place is pretty quiet considering it's the first day, and I don't feel like going into a big organized group. If we need the organized groups just to get all the bits and bobs to then only be able to do the dungeons and trial, it just honestly feels like too much hassle.

Endless one-shotting trash isn't challenging, it's tedious.

On a positive, I do like the faction leaders
