The general premise of this didn't interest me a whole lot, but the more I read/hear, the less interested I become.

First impressions aren't great. I had a hell of a time trying to find my group. The initial pop-up to port to the group leader ported me...somewhere, but it wasn't his instance. Second time, I tried porting to someone. Still wasn't in the right instance. Finally, on the third try I got into their instance.

The rewards are also pretty insulting. A blue world drop item that goes for pennies on the trader. It's Destiny's "two tokens and a blue" moment.

Only positive thing so far is the new house. People are running around, completely confused on what to do and how, because they get killed instantly as soon as they run into some trash. Idk who came up with that idea but it's definetely a really questionable event design.

Its so hardcore. Its Craglorn 2.0. Those of us that played as Craglorn came out will remember. Craglorn was set up as a harder Zone, the wasps killed you with 1 or 2 hits, after a while ESO toned it down, so i will prob give up on it and wait until the Nerf

Are we able to trade these monster sets with groupmembers at the end of the trial?

When choosing a faction, everyone is just choosing the faction leading. Thousand eyes is so far in the lead PS5 NA ATM.

I joined Gold and I hardly ever see anyone. I can solo just fine but everything takes so long to kill without anyone else around.

I assume everyone is doing the Thousand faction.

Also, how does one leave the Night Market zone? I go to the wayshrine and can only scroll through the different sections of the Night Market, but I can't port to Blackwood or anywhere else. I just port to a fellow guild members location to leave zone.

The set items that drop and can be bought through the vendors. Does these change weekly like how IA does it or are we stuck with the same 5 or so sets for the next 49 days?

I’ll wait to give feedback until I get home and have a chance to try it myself, but what I’m hearing is not sounding good so far.

I love Dungeons. BFG HM was one of the best experiences I’ve had in this game. So to see that Dungeons were not making the cut this year was a hard pill to swallow. But even then, we had devs come into the thread to try to reassure us that Night Market would “scratch that itch.”
But… will it really?

On PTS, there was already the argument about the difficulty - a lot of PTS testers (especially for things like this) are top 1%ers in the first place, but ESO also has a large casual population that hates grouping almost as much as they hate PvP. There is no way to make something for everyone here… and as the saying goes, trying to make something for everyone ends up making something for no one.
Who is this designed for? Which subset of the playerbase? Is it useful for that subset? Is it too offensive to other subsets of the playerbase?

I get that ESO has been interested in being more experimental and less formulaic in the shift from Chapters to Seasons. But… there has been a lot that has not exactly been well received (see: the Wall event), and simple bugs like the missing quest starter do not help at all. It just makes it look sloppy. ESO should also realize that playing it safe is not a bad thing. We know we’re getting a zone next year. I hope we get a set of Dungeons as well. I hope we eventually get new Classes and new Companions and new things for PvP and new Tribute decks and things for each group of players, not just things that are planned for everyone but liked by none.

Can you confirm you tried to group with people of other factions (as in, one person sent another a group invite) and it didn’t work?

I'm also curious why on earth the gear rewards are... basic overland sets that any rando can farm for or buy for pennies off of the guild market.

I really think you all should’ve advertised it as group content instead of not mentioning that at all in advertising and treading the line in streams. I’m seeing a lot of people going in, thinking they can solo, and getting mad about getting curb stomped. You have pop-ups for dungeons and trials saying “you can try to solo but this is for a group”, my opinion is that you should have a similar pop-up for the 3 districts so people can set their expectations.

I’m running with a full group later today and tomorrow, I’ll return with feedback.

Yup, when you're stuck doing a quest alone, it's just too difficult to complete it. If you're lucky enough to be with a big group, it can be fun though.

Night Market is A TOTAL BUST FOR SOLO PLAYERS.

I tried several times and left and have no plans to go back. I didn't stand a chance.

I cannot see anything for me there as you need to be grouped for everything. I understand now why the Golden last week were all about grouping.

Good luck to all who can do it, but I am writing it off as a bad deal.

As stated by others, and even on the PTS, the adds respawn way too quickly. especially when i clear a quest objective, i start to click on the quest objective, and get adds spawned upon before the quest completes.
