Wowzers. I'm not sure if I'll finish this pursuit. The goals seem a bit aggressive for the timeline.

    Well, I guess we'll see!

    nice rewards, i love Pangrits.

But it is annoying to not have the option to do all the group pursuits solo.

I did get credit for killing world bosses while grouped while not actually being grouped. I think it was because there were other players also there killing the world boss and so it counted it as that "soft grouping" they mentioned in the stream--where a bunch of people are all beating up on the same boss without being officially grouped.

Of course, it might also be a bug.

The group dungeons seem a little much for how short a time this event is running. 10 dungeons in 7 days while grouped. If this was at least letting you farm them solo, it could go quicker than waiting on the group finder to pop.

I kill 1 world boss I can get a point but I have to run 3 dungeons before I get the first point. This seems a little unbalanced.

Same with the Undaunted pledges. I have to complete 6 of them before I get a point but I can run my crafting dailies and get a point for completing 5 quests AND a point for completing 5 crafting quests.

I'm not a huge fan of the have to group up stuff but I went to a world boss and they were X to group, so I managed to knock that and the kill while grouped ones pretty quick.

I'll not ever do a trial or battleground but it's a nice option for those who do although they also seem a little unbalanced compared to some.

    Nice rewards and fun activities.

I was a little concerned about doing 16 of these in just a week, but made good progress this morning before work so I don't think it will be too bad. Many of the tasks listed are things I would do through my regular gameplay and this is a nudge to get me to group or do a few extra dungeons. The pledges one was a little high in number for just a week long campaign, so that's perhaps the biggest worry.

I also worry that Golden Pursuits plus Tamriel Tomes creates kind of a long 'to do' list. If I were developing this, I'd be inclined to just up the rewards on Tamriel Tomes and keep it as one system instead of two.

Overall though I've been loving the new direction for the game in 2026.

I know I already commented here, but...

We've got this Golden Pursuit, Vengeance, and of course our Tamriel Tomes going on right now. I don't have time for all of these time-limited activities. Of these, I probably will be dropping Vengeance--even though I like Vengeance--because I like collecting emotes.

I'd have liked to play a little Vengeance, too, but I've only got so much time.

when the next update is out vengeance will be full time and not a temporary thing lol, so in around 4-5 weeks i would guess

Insulting for a solo runner. This Gold event is so much a eviction notice for the simple player who neither groups nor joined a guild. Disappointing. I cannot say more without being crude.

Even for people for which this sort of pursuit is ostensibly targeted at, it feels like it's asking for a lot in a short period of time. Esp. since a lot of us are still recovering from the Jubilee.

    I'm surprised, frankly.

    The timing/difficulty kinda stinks.

You've got new content on the PTS to test, 3 Team Battlegrounds Week, and a Vengeance Campaign at the same time.

Plus, next week you have the Night Market starting which will likely be far easier to grind at the start when more people are present so it isn't like it is a time where you might grind a bunch this week and take off next week.

This will be the first pursuit I'll be failing to complete because it is too time consuming while also competing with other content that I would rather be doing.

I thought you were going do to do less events, not more?

Golden Pursuits aren't considered to be "events" per se, just as other occasional "special activities" such as Battlegrounds weekends or Vengeance tests aren't considered to be "events."

That said, I agree that a week-long Golden Pursuits campaign (if that's the correct term for it) which involves so much group content, occurring at the same time as a Vengeance test and a Battlegrounds weekend, seems a bit overwhelming.

One thing to note about the activities which require being grouped is that they don't necessarily require that the other member or members of the group be actively engaged in the same content, nor even online at the same time. For instance, I soloed a dungeon for one of my weekly challenges, while grouped with an offline player (because we'd been grouped the night before), and I got credit for completing the dungeon while grouped.

First Golden Pursuits I've failed. I have been impressed in the past that they were completable solo - not this one not even close? Plus the crazy 7 day time limit???? wtf. I completely agree with shadoza's post

I couldn't have put it better myself. I am very disappointed if this is going to be the new way. Solo runners are an integral and unique part of this game - it certainly has kept me playing - please don't chase us away.

I accepted a request for help from one of my in-game friends the other day on PCNA and ended up helping them complete a number of dungeons and world bosses-- we even went into Aetherian Archive with a 3-player group (despite my warnings that trials are meant for 12 players) and made it through the first boss, then got stopped by the 12 pressure plates. It was insane, but also a lot of fun. Then we stayed grouped even while offline, so I was able to get most of my other "while grouped" tasks done over the next couple of days; I've got just one more activity to complete, which I can do ungrouped if need be (pledges).

I was convinced I would fail to get the apex reward on PCEU, because I wasn't grouped for anything and my hours of play are times when most players in Asia and Europe are offline, but I got about half of the other rewards by soloing dungeons and killing world bosses alongside other players. (FYI: Being "soft-grouped" with other players at a world boss will be counted only if you do enough damage to get looting privileges.) But I was convinced I wasn't going to get the apex reward, and was okay with that because it's a non-combat pet and I already have so many. However, last night I was getting ready to solo Wuyuvus and decided to post "Sulipund Grange WB (Wuyuvus) is up" in zone chat to see if anyone would show up to fight alongside me for the soft-grouping, and a player asked if I could share the quest. So I invited them to group, shared the quest, we killed Wuyuvus pretty quickly-- and then they logged out but stayed grouped with me! I was then able to solo a few more dungeons for the Golden Pursuits and weekly challenges. The three Golden Pursuits about killing foes (50, 100, and 200, I think? at least, I know the third one is fir 200) while grouped got completed during the very first dungeon, so I was able to earn the apex reward pretty easily, even before earning it on PCNA and despite having been convinced that it wasn't doable.

So in short, you might still be able to earn the apex reward by grouping with a friend or random player and staying grouped while you both go your separate ways and solo your usual content, especially if your usual content includes doing Undaunted pledges and you'd been doing those ungrouped all week.

Agree. Way too less time and no option for solo's unless you'll run two clients with two accounts which I'm not sure can I even do according to TOS with a single PC.

It would be interesting to see how many people actually got this one done, pretty sure less than 10% of the active player accounts. It's also my personal first pass on pursuits.

Anyways, a slap against solo and casual players which are the majority of the player base.
