Werewolf's 3rd Skill Style — Piercing Howl, Dusk Blue (U49)

Werewolf got its third usable Skill Style, which is called Piercing Howl, Dusk Blue:

You can find it on Page 6 of the Premium Season Zero: Dawn and Dusk tome, which requires 10,000 Tome Points to access. You can purchase it with 500 Tome Points.

For the following comparison photos, the new Skill Style is shown on the right.
Piercing Howl (unmorphed):

Note that the in-game preview only shows you the projectile, not the effect you see when you hit a target with it. The projectile is made blue with this Skill Style.

As you know, Piercing Howl and its morphs will be replaced with Gnash and its morphs in Update 50. Gnash is a two-part biting attack where you first bite into the enemy and then you tear out a chunk of flesh from them. It's presumed that this Skill Style will be changed next update to recolor the VFX of Gnash, with a new icon to match. Enjoy shouting at people in blue while it lasts!

Honestly, bit of an odd choice to give Piercing Howl a Skill Style with the rework next update, I would have thought Pounce or Hircines Bounty would have gotten one instead.

Still, it's always good to see more Werewolf Skill Styles.

I'm guessing this was designed before they knew they were going to change Piercing Howl.

I'd love to see a Hircine's Bounty skill style, though! It would look great with this dusk blue color.

I'm a little disappointed with the skill style but I'm hoping similar to other skill styles it has a nicer reworked version already waiting since werewolf is getting reworked next patch. There is precedent in the Nocturnal Dragon Leap getting a glow up with the DK rework and it's part of why I've been less persistent in talking about the Malacath Grim Focus issue (because I'm assuming it will get a less disappointing glow up when nigthblade gets reworked).

I am hoping the reworked skill has more to it since it is a preimum skill and those should usually have a bit more effects imo.

Yeah seems a bit pointless when it's going in a few months. They will have to apply it to gnash or whatever they are calling the new skill.
