The Ghish hotfix from a few weeks ago made it so his new spawn condition is phase 2 AND U48.

So with phase 2 WBs being moved to phase 3, what's the point of phase 2? Just continue doing recipes failures in order to get to phase 3?
It sounds like the 3 phase event is now just a two phase event? Am I understanding that correctly?

Afaik it was a boss and some new crafting for 2, now it's just more crafting and boss only for PC, when phase 2 hits. So more of the same, meaning exactly the same.

@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_GinaBruno The article still says Ghishzor should be spawning when Phase 2 starts, rather than Phase 2 AND U48. Would you please make sure the article is updated? There were a bunch of people hanging around the spawn point waiting this morning on PS/NA.After Phase 2 begins, Siege Camp incursions occur more frequently and are more difficult to complete. Additionally, the Daedra Ghishzor, a powerful Maldrith, appears as a world boss on Solstice.

Re: new crafting writs - There are still only 6 quests / day that you can do for crafting. They just added alchemy/enchanting/provisioning to that pool of 6.
I skipped them all, stayed with the clothing/woodworking/metal, since I have more of those mats than I could ever use.

West of the main siege camp near the water

This event is a huge flop.

There wasn't a previous fix to the drop chance. They increased the drop rate, but there's a bug they found where the drop chance is inconsistent, and they can't fix it before the event ends:DenverRalphy wrote: »Did today's hotfix inadvertantly revert the previous fix to the Vitrified Souls drop chance? If you look through this very thread you'll see where I specifically asked Jessica if this was the cause of vitrified souls or fat or whatever sometimes dropping like candy and sometimes needing to kill something like 20 mobs for a single drop, and she specifically confirmed that yes it is.LootAllTheStuff wrote: »There wasn't a previous fix to the drop chance. That quote specifically mentions monsters, though, not general mobs. Speaking of which...
Today, vitrified soul drops were running super cold again for me in the PD where normal mobs had been replaced. Went back to the same spot in The Rift as yesterday, where there's Worm Cult as part of the zone story, and I had the souls in a couple of minutes.
I know ZOS have said a couple of times that the tables all look correct on the server, bu it really looks like when a regular mob is replaced with the Worm Cultists/Daedra, there's a 50:50 chance that the replacements will inherit the former mob's loot pool. Either that, or they just won't spawn with one at all. I don't know how else to explain going from getting vitrified souls from 2 out of every 3 worm cultists, to getting zero from anything.
ZOS_JessicaFolsom wrote: »Can you confirm if this technical bug resulting in "inconsistencies" with quest item drops is the reason why sometimes you only have 1 drop for every 15-20 eligible mobs killed and have to spend an hour to complete a boring fetch quest, and sometimes you'll actually get the drops at a reasonable rate?
Yes, unfortunately. We identified the issue today during our investigations related to the reported quest item drop inconsistencies.

I think the crafting in Stirk may be bugged. On one of my NA accts, the Armorer simply wouldn't talk to me at all. On EU, he told me to make a few glyphs and I did, but it didn't trigger his response. He just stood there. Another player suggested I abandon and retake. Super glad I did since the gold box reward was the Coldharbor property!
wolfie1.0 said "Its not just the grind, its the grind with no incentive. The best rewards are paywalled and the pay walled rewards are lacking. Expectations, I feel were set high for PC-NA by both players and ZOS. It looks like everyone all around is disappointed."
And they're right, in my opinion. I sub on two accounts, NA and EU. But I won't purchase the season pass. To me, there isn't enough there to justify spending even more money on the game. If it followed the usual release plan, maybe. But not whatever this is :: gestures vaguely :: . The event is paywalled, allowing non-season pass to participate but not really. Sure, there are a few new goodies IF RNG grants you favor. But really, there's not much to this event. I'm even working on it instead of the Witches Festival because, well, the WF is stale as all get-out, too.
It's almost as if someone in the office said, "you know what I want to see in-game? I want all the servers to compete and see who tears the wall down first so they can access the content they already purchased. We should probably throw in a few scraps for those other players, too, though. Yeah, that sounds cool!" And the event was patched together with a bit of golden sap and undead essence then released into the game.

Just fyi, you don't have to kill the world bosses. The quest giver does direct you to seek out stronger foes but it doesn't have to be bosses. Many of the same enemies you were going to before still work.
Although I'm not going to go looking for the quotation, I'm pretty sure the community managers here have said those circles are just suggestions. The drops are significantly better away from them.I am old fashioned, I look where the quest giver marks my map, and the two marked locations in Grahtwood were tiny circles where the world bosses were. Why would I kill random mobs on the map for drops when the quest points me to a very specific location?

If you look at some of the other quest markers, you'll see that other markings include areas that aren't world bosses, if you'd prefer to use the quest markers. I personally use one of the ones in Reaper's March because if you take the road you may see an event spawn. I got attacked by a witch who used her bubbling brew to conjure up some foes. But to each their own.
I agree with you the quest should do a better job of communicating all of this, fyi. I only discovered it because the Reaper's March mobs are the same ones that I've been killing anyway so I got lucky.
