can't you go south(west) along the bosses to take the other way to the skyshard? i haven't gone there in years so I'm unsure.

(This sort of thing--where a skyshard is placed in plain view in a deceptively close location but is actually only accessible via a long detour--is very common in this game, and the OP should not have been surprised to see this.)aleksandr_ESO wrote: »> unclear which condition must be met to pass through this door

That is not so good. All skyshards in the base map should be accessibl without having to meet a very specific unknown condition a priori.

Not quite.
His problem is that he's using the wrong door. The door that he's referring to is the exit door for the public dungeon quest, and that door is a one-way door and can never be used to access the skyshard, regardless of quest status.

There’s one in a manor in Auridon in Silsailen.
I ran skyshards on a bunch of characters lately so I remember.

And I think you can reach it without doing the quest too - the backdoor to the manor on the shore side.
You can still head up there into the freezing mountains, and while the doorway to it is inaccessible, you can still jump up some rocks to get to it.Vonnegut2506 wrote: »I believe the only skyshard remaining that you still have to do a quest to run across is in The Rift. You can access that manor from behind, in a cave with a ladder that leads up into the manor.katanagirl1 wrote: »Vonnegut2506 wrote: »I believe the only skyshard remaining that you still have to do a quest to run across is in The Rift. Yes, the one in Hews bane took some time to figure out, and its many others

The delve in Artaeum is infuriating because of this. I can never remember how to get to that skyshard, so I stopped acknowledging that delve's existence.

This is easy to get to. Go into the door that leads to the group boss, then take the exit opposite the one you entered by, it immediately places you next to the skyshard.

That is for the public dungeon skyshard; A Walk in the Clouds is for the one up on the mountain with the freezing wind.
