the problem with WoW is that you only ever get to play the latest 4-5 zones in an expansion cycle unless you roll alts or farm old collectibles in the now outdated and trivialized content. unlike ESO the old zones when a new expac launches become totally irrelevant and it's a big bummer.
repeating the same 4-5 zones for an entire year is so tiring.
Beside, "playing" ESO could need a more precise definition. I have several friends who logon once in a while for a "check", logging off after hardly more than 15 minutes (they're waiting for better times), and a few others who logon every 2 or 3 days, to do some dailies/trading, in order not to be kicked off their guilds. Is such sporadic rapid logging on/off still "playing" ESO?
As for me, I'm not sure I can pretend that I "play" ESO since I use the game as a holiday place aside of my mains: I don't touch more than 10% of the content (trading, farming resources, sporadically fishing).
If you don’t play the game or no longer play the game this is a pretty weird place for you to be IMO
Other: not any longer.

I'm sorry to see that, and hope we'll keep in touch. If you're stuck for a replacement I can recommend Oblivion Remastered.
It doesn't apply to you, but I think there's often confusion on the forum when some players say they're quitting but in reality they mean they're no longer subscribing.
Of course it's also said that people don't leave ESO, they just take a break before returning!
