Characters appearance

Hello, I have enjoyed playing ESO for years. In my opinion this type of game and community can't really be found anywhere else. There's so many players and many different things to do in game. I have not played in a long while and I know there are new updates and maps to explore. The one thing for sure that would get me to return would be a free unlimited character appearance change whenever we like. Also if we could choose any possible colors of hair or makeup on our characters this would open up doors to more choices in our characters appearance. Just the free anytime appearance change is good enough to get me to play more. I'm sure this would cause an uptick in players such as myself.

More simple appearance options every now and then would also be cool. Like for example more combinations of certain existing beard elements, e.g. mustache, soul patch + split braids goatee.

I wish they would occasionally give out Appearance Change Tokens in the daily rewards. I guess they are afraid of losing money, but I’d be willing to bet if we got one every month or two, players might enjoy them enough to regularly use them and purchase more.

At the very least, we should be able to save them in a system like the Armory.

What we need is an in-game barber shop where we can make the changes for gold.

The Secret World had an underground plastic surgeon, I loved that!

I would just like to see some effort into collectible hairstyles, facial hair, adornments, costumes, etc.. geared more toward male toons. It seems like 99% of them are designed for female toons. And those that are designed for males are really, well, not great.

Very few of my toons are male anymore, simply because they are rather blah to outfit.

Even the game that shall not be named has a barbershop.

Aye. Like when was the last time actual facial hair was added to the facial hair category. Feels like I have more make up than facial hair there.

    So much this.

I've made peace with the fact it takes a Cash Shop token to change appearance, beyond the options we can swap out like hairstyle, markings, etc, but... YES.

Please let us save the Appearances we create or at the VERY least add a numeric value to the sliders so it's an easier task to screenshot and reuse what we create.

I know many rp players would like the full range of hair colors to be available to everyone. Especially in cases where NPCs are using hair colors inaccessible to PCs of the same race. One example I have seen Altmer players refer to a lot is Earl Leythen from the Summerset main quest line, who has black hair, which is inaccessible to player Altmer in the character designer.

Personally I 'save appearances' by keeping a tab in my excel spreadsheet for eso records just for appearances. I count the number of ticks from the left and record the number for each slider. It lets me easily recreate appearances, like mirroring my main character's looks on the alt versions of her in each class. It's a workaround since we don't have a good way to do it in-game.

Very nice! I typically just take Screenshots of the sliders, but your method is more concrete than guesstimating by eye.

Wish they'd give us a better option, particularly with the limit on character deletion and the way the initial character creation screen and Appearance Change Token screen don't precisely match up for appearance.

Still waiting for a Hair Color Pack. ZOS would make bank off that.

I like your idea! I would add that ANY token could be a special daily login - for example I would appreciate Name change tokens too... They are unfairly expensive IMHO.
Even Alliance change tokens or Character/Armory/Outfit Slots would be very much appreciated. I wouldn't expect them frequently but on occasions.

I'd rather ZOS expand customisation options than give us toneks, so purchasing one is actually worth it.
There's a reason why 90% of my characters are Bretons.

This. Getting a barber or the like is very unlikely when the crown store has the cosmetic packs with hair, adornments, markings etc. So it makes sense we should get a cosmetics hair colour pack. They could also add the npc exclusive colours then too, because there are a bunch npcs use we can't that makes no sense we can't use. Like black and darker hair for altmer, also true black for imperial, amongst others.

An eye colour pack would make sense to get at the same time too, because there as well there are a bunch of npc exclusives.

If necessary some hair colours, like argonians, can even be race restriced like some adornments and body markings already are.

in the eye color pack I also want the ability to do heterochromia, they could make it so that we could equip just one color of eye similar to the blind eye, for examples
Time flies like an arrow- but fruit flies like a banana.
