Forced to create an alt for skill style bundle

Honestly I do not know what population I represent here but major disappointment that I am forced to create an alt to get rewards for my existing character.
I play only one and do not wish to create another class, let alone level it to 50. Was looking forward to these styles too, what a shame

How about adding an alternative way to acquire these?

I have to laugh here. For a long time, the AwA debacle caused some of us to question whether ZOS was committed to supporting the alt lifestyle, or whether they were trying to phase it out. There was concern that we would lose more functionality in game to track alt progress or enjoy them.

This is the first time since AwA that I personally have seen official content from ZOS confirming that having multiple characters is acknowledged, supported, and intended, with "Part of every player’s journey is creating varied characters to experience Tamriel with..."

However, speaking as someone who felt extremely overlooked and uncared-for as my alt data and map tracking was destroyed, I'll be the first to say that this is not what I would have in mind when it comes to supporting the lifestyle. And saying it is part of "every player's" journey is almost as bad as dismissing concerns and telling us AwA was done based on player feedback as if the only point of view was an account-wide playstyle. Exclusionary promotions, tactics, and features are frustrating. Just like for AwA many of us just wanted to be able to track account OR character, I wouldn't want to see anyone who has only one character deprived of skill styles because they only have one. Yes, it's just cosmetic, and no, we all shouldn't expect to get everything... but there's just no reason this had to be this way.

It's great to encourage people to try and play alts. I am guessing this is being done as a way to encourage newer players who have only tried an arcanist to explore the other classes. But a time limited promotion making players feel as if they need to power level their way through another class is... not great. Yes, it's easy to do but not everyone wants to play that way. It's really not that long of a time if you can only play on weekends and you want to work your way through the story content again.

I feel like it's the same effort as similar promotions, though more than just sprinting through a zone story. At least there are other players in the same predicament who would probably be willing to swap Blackrose, Skyreach, or Dragonstar Arena runs to level a character to 50 just for the rewards. Maybe everyone has extra Experience Scrolls they haven't deleted?

It's doable within a day with max pots and Heartland Conqueror, and definitely with a casual week with a buddy. Can double it up with any Companion leveling you might need that way. (I usually level alts via daily BG/dungeon to get the skill ranks, which takes a few weeks of once per day and is less boring than grinding. But I like the different classes.)

Plus, it's a perfect opportunity to express disdain for the promotion with some salty names!

Thanks for the link, I was not very clear in hindsight. The skill styles are current on offer for free on the crown store for anyone who fulfils the requirements of having 2 characters of different classes at lvl 50.

I understand that it is double. Just not happy that the skill styles for my class cannot be earn through my class.
