Sure, in the past, there were always some players who intentionally treated every match like a deathmatch, but they were much less common. Now, it feels like every team only has 2-3 players who actually care about completing objectives.

I don't understand this either. Recently I was playing and was literally the only one who captured the flags. And the teammates didn’t even try, not only to capture more flags, but they also didn’t defend the ones they had already captured... Just... why?

For those that said they want to fight other players as in PVP, I thought there's plenty of opportunities to do so when you hold a flag or capture a Chaosball, no?
Okay but for everyone saying it's more fun to fight...don't y'all have normal Cyrodiil, Imperial City, and duels for that? It seems kinda cruddy to ruin other peoples' experiences who actually want to do the game mode when you can literally go fight other people in any of the other PvP modes there are.
That's why they need to let players queue for DEATH MATCH only.
And have a capture queue. I don't understand why ZOS won't implement this queue again. I end up with top score usually by playing objectives.
No one is completing objectives anymore because this new BG format is a colossal failure. 8v8 completely wipes out any need for actual strategy, teamwork, coordination, competition and individual contribution. Why work on your build or strive to improve if seven other people will carry you. Every match is one sided now, not a single game is even close. You either stomp the other team or you get stomped. Rather than 15 minute matches where you have to work to win and have a chance to regroup and come from behind you've got 5 minute matches decided in the first minute. With three teams there was a wild card factor you cannot get with two. Bring back 4v4v4 at least as an option. Adding content is fine but killing a tried and true and beloved part of the game is unacceptable and shows a real disregard for the people who play it.

Not fun is it? Killing other players is fun. You should try that. It makes battlegrounds fun.
