Community Feedback Ignored: The community has consistently voiced concerns about the inadequacy of these sets, yet there has been no meaningful change or response from the developers. This lack of action on the test server indicates a disregard for player feedback and raises concerns about whether the developers are truly listening to their player base. As loyal customers, players expect to feel heard and valued, and the lack of responsiveness is both frustrating and disheartening.
The whole thing people don't see is that class sets are not meant to make that class any better in a certain situation or in a certain environment like PvE or PvP. It's also not meant to improve the whole character to the extend.
Instead it's there to compliment a certain skill line and only this. Where Beacon of Oblivion offers defensive capabilities while you have pets doing the damage for you you need to survive on your own without them and thus it's giving you damage bonusses. That's what it's all about and complaining about it not being a top notch meta set in PvP isn't getting you anywhere at all as it never was meant to be (hence the bonus reduction with Battle Spirit).
I don't understand why some people can't accept the fact that BoO is a failed class set?
Anyone who has actually played sorc for 5 minutes can easily point out where BoO fails. But some people seem to be working very hard to offset the protests of sorc players by supporting BoO.

I'm sure that they listen.
What we got, was what they wanted us to get. I don't agree that they made an error.
Have you tried playing arcanist instead?

Wander back into main discussions, this isn't the place.
On September 10th we will receive the last patch of the year. Will we see any reasonable changes to Sorc? No buff is needed, but adjustments need to be made to the lack of magicka sorc in PVE and the main source of output being limited to pets, as well as a more reasonable means of survival in PVP without relying on Ward.
As for the Beacon of Oblivion...let it be Oblivion, it is undoubtedly a failure.

On september 10th it will be just a stream announcing release of new patch. Patch itsellf will go live more or less 5 weeks after that date.

He means the PTS notes.
Sadly, the Week 1 notes are basically the patch these days. Not much of anything changes from when they are originally posted to when the patch actually goes live six weeks later.
