Poor drop rate of necrotic visions in IA

Like many others, I’m excited about the new verses and the new transformation…BUT

As there are more verses, the % chance of getting a specific verse is now less.

As a casual IA players, who, typically farms to Arc 3 & 4, I’d expect the necromatic visions to have appeared and had the opportunity to get the verse (when IS was first launched, it was entirely possible to get transformation verses by Arc 2), but it’s simply not happening.

It seems the drop rate is sufficiently bad that you can get to Arc 4 and only ever have a single necromatic vision.

What’s the point of relaxing new vision/verses and tag achievements to them if the drop rate is too low!

(It’s like inkamasser all over again).

Please fix.

It's honestly all RNG. You could get lucky and get what I did. (See image below)

The rate is not low. It's just RNG. In many ocassions I have received it way too often and I don't like that boon, to the point I'd prefer it to be removed completelly so I have more chances to get other boons.

yesterday I collected three necro buffs by the end of the first Arc. By the end of the fourth Arc, I had received the necro avatar 5 times

Since u43 has dropped, I’ve done 16+ runs, and in all of them , I’ve only has (at best) a single necromatic vision by the end of Arc 1M once or twice. Typically Zero in Arc 1, 1 in arc 2 and rarely a second in Arc 3.

RNG is fickle, and you can get extremes in either direction.

I had a 8-arc run a couple of days ago where I didn't see any of the necro visions at all. Zero. I completed the other three avatars and got a total of 21 transforms in the run, but not a single necro vision.

But in another recent run, I had necro completed in the first arc and had my first transform in early arc 2.

In more typical run, I get necro completed around arc 5 or so.

Speaking of visions, does anyone know if there is some kind of requirement to get Apocryphal Emissary?

Its the only vision i am missing and i have never seen it yet as a possible choice..

Just RNG. You play enough and it'll pop.

Wow, Arc 5 to get the transformation asa “typical” example. I understand the effect of RNG, but equally, there’s ways to ‘weight’ newer visions/verses.

That’d put a lot of new players off…which is ironic, as the new quest giver was added to lure people into trying to do more than 1 arc.

The IA population are either Arc 1-3 or 7+, with very few in between. Considering that On average Arcs are ~30-40 minutes each, it’d take more time than running most vet dlc trials to try and achieve, which,TBH, as a ‘new thing’ misses to point of getting player engagement with it.

RNG my friend, of the few runs I've run lately I have had all 3 necrotics pop up on every run but not the focus'd efforts my build needs. If they keep increasing the pool of visions and verses I think they're either going to have to create some sort of system where you select 15 to draw from at the start or allow the armory assistant so that you can more easily change your build based on the visions you get. Seems kind of silly you can't use the Armory system since time doesn't impact scores and you can leave the area, change build, re-enter within enough time to not reset it.

It's the reason they added the transform verse to the new Fabled/Marauder quest. So that people can play around with the transforms even if they're just running low arcs.

I have a friend who runs this solo and just does three arcs. He's never gotten all three necro visions in the same run (but he has gotten all three across different runs for the get-these-visions achievement), but he has gotten the transform from the mystery verse.

I assume you mean solo. I've run IA solo only enough times for the do-this-many-stages solo achievement. I dislike solo IA and solo arenas because I'm not playing a MMO to play solo. So all my IA stuff is from the perspective of duos and I think arc 5 or 6 is a pretty typical stopping point for duos since that's in the ballpark of 2 hours.

It definitely seems to be on the lower end compared to the others. I got really lucky and independently got each of the 3 on different runs. Not yet got them all at the same time. But I also got really lucky and used the transformation verse that you get for the daily quest and happened to get the necro transformation. So I was able to complete the achievement.

I feel like its actually been more likely to show up than other visions. I struggled to get the other transformations for their achievements but the necromancer one I’ve gotten 2 or 3 times. Just yesterday I got the actual transform at least 4x in a maybe 5 arc run.

RNG is horrendous in this game, I quit ToT and started IA and RNG is just as bad for me in IA as it was in ToT. This game is literally a glorified RNG simulator with a game skin.

I played IA for the first time since the update drop and I was really excited about all of the new verses and visions that were available, but after getting to Arc 3, I realized that if they don't remove some verses and visions out of rotation, then the more verses and visions that they add to the pool, the LESS likely you are to get the handful of desirable verses and visions that can carry you through harder content in IA. While it is great to see them add things to keep IA fresh, they should consider a way to limit the pool of verses/visions you can draw from in an IA run so you can actually stack some good visions during your run to help you later when the content actually gets harder. Perhaps even make it so players can see what pool of verses/visions they got before they start their run so they know if they are looking to make a long endurance run, they know whether it is going to be a waste of time or if they should just reset it before getting started.
