[QoL REQUEST] Allow option for filtering with dungeon finder AND random dungeons (see text)

I use dungeon finder a lot to do my daily pledges.

Sometimes it happens that I get to a group that has already passed boss 1 or is even at endboss.

When I join them I cannot hand in the pledge because it requires to have killed all the bosses before.

So of course I could leave that group but this does not help them either.

As it is now one party - me or the group - loses out.

If we had an option to enforce only joining a group that is not yet in the instance it would help me who wants to do the quest AND the group that is looking for a member that does not mind to skip previous bosses.

Not just pledges, but also an issue for skill point quests, even in newer dungeons. I can see having no option for a random dungeon. You get what you get. But if you want the skill point or pledge and queue for a specific dungeon, you should not be put in old instances where someone already bailed.

I think there is really some need to have some possibilities to filter also when joining a random dungeon run.

The only possibility to filter right now is vet or normal.

    But that is not enough.

    I explain:

I have just returned from a normal random dungeon run to the scalecaller peak dungeon with my unoptimized level 45 toon. All other group members were well beyond level 50.

This as such is not an issue.

The issue is that my weak level 45 spent most of the time dead because the other three were rushing thru it (no complaints towards them) and I hardly could participate in any of the boss fights because of me being dead.

I also died once during the transition to the giant matriarch boss because I got stuck in a corner and could not move out with the mobs still being present as the other three group members were far ahead of me and just skipped the mobs. I died there in a poison aoe with some flying mob attacking me while the group were reaching the giant matriarch boss. I was instantly transported to that boss as soon as I rematerialized.

It was a really unpleasant and unfun experience.

I think we also need some additional filtering option for random dungeons. I don't think that a filter excluding some player levels is wise as it might prolong group search too much but at least give us a filter that allows actively discarding dlc dungeons from the search. Scalecaller was really too much what my build could handle at this stage. I was hoping to get a dungeon that I usually get during random search like canalisation etc.

That's because level 45 is when all the DLC dungeons unlock, so you can do pledges.

This is also when the level scaling is at its worst, so that doesn't help.

But it is possible to do DLC dungeons at that level and if your group had stayed with you, this would have helped. Though Scalecaller with the poison skeever guts is especially nasty.

They could probably move DLC dungeons and pledges to level 50, but that would not be great for new players either.

That is where a filter option would help: I can choose if I would run a DLC dungeon or not. I know my build best and what it can do and what it cannot. I would avoid an unpleasant experience and the other group would not have me as a bag. Win-win for everybody.

I would personally prefer this. Consistency with the game is good and this seems more simple to execute.
