Crafter's Celebration Event: Double writ voucher not working?

I've gingerly tried a single MW, got the regular amount of vouchers, not double.

Several guildies report the same results.

Is this working for anyone?

I've heard that it only applies to masterwrits that you've gotten during the event (so just for new ones)

OK, thanks. I still have some chars that need to do dailies, hopefully I'll get a few to test.

Someone linked fresh writs, they are doubled.

I also did a single MW just to test it out. A 58 woodworking voucher net me 58 writ vouchers. If it is applied to writs only obtained this event like ninibini stated, it would be nice if that was clarified in the event details.

If it's only master writs that drop during the event then 0/10 for phrasing...

Why? Bit silly. And needs to stated clearly.

    I can confirm.

The 2x value is already stated on the MW itself.

For instance I got a provisioning MW for 'Velothi View Vintage Malbec' that usually yields 2v.

The one I just got yields 4.

So is just IMO misleading wording on the announcement.

@ZOS_Kevin @ZOS_GinaBruno clarification would be much appreciated here please.

Will the Master Writs that 'drop' during the event, which show twice the yield they would normally have, preserve the yield after the event ends?

I'd rather keep them if that's the case, and follow the regular schedule of completing them during the next 2XP event.

    Thanks!

I am very upset. The language on screen in game said double vouchers from master writs. I just spent 150k in console money on master writs, only to find out I wasted my hard earned gold. ZOS should revert this and give us our double vouchers for all writs besides old jewelry ones.

I just got a master writ, about ten minutes ago, completed the writ and never got the +100% on the writ vouchers?

This was a sealed blacksmithing writ worth 201 writ vouchers (legendary) and when turned in, I received 201 writ vouchers.

At first I thought that perhaps the amount on the actual voucher before handing in would show the +100 %, but that can't work with an odd number as 201 wont divide by 2 and give a whole number.

So not sure this aspect of the event is working as intended?

Note that I have had quite a few legendary master writs with over 200 writ vouchers prior to this event.

Hold onto them for a double XP event. I know it’s not the same but then they won’t be completely wasted.

I just had a guildie tell me they got a master writ from crafting dailies today(i.e. during event) worth 131 (gold, wood) so it's not pre-doubling the master writ vouchers on master writ generation (not evenly divisible by 2 as you noted). When they completed and turned in the master writ they only got 131 writ vouchers. It's not a ui glitch as inventory shows 131, too; attempts to deposit in bank similarly show 131.

This part of the 'event' it seems is also completely borked.

Did anyone at zos actually TEST any of this stuff before pushing it out?

Yes that's what I usually do. I was going to do them for double vouchers since I'm trying to add more to the GMC stations (currently at 11 sets). Good thing I only bought them and didn't do them. Will need to add a third pack mule now though lol.

The way ZOS uses "doubled" (see Plentiful Harvest) does not always mean literal x2.

With Plentiful Harvest, the game rolls again for what you get (except for alchemy mats, which it literally does double).

For example, you pick a cloth plant node with PH slotted. The game rolls for 3 or 4 for the base pull. It rolls for PH, and if successful, it rolls again for 3 or 4. You can end up with 7 of the base mat even though PH promises it "doubles" your pull.

If they are using it in a similarly imprecise manner here, the voucher value can be an odd number but still have rolled twice.

Perfectly understandable. ZOS moved away from using "doubled" to describe the increased resources during events. I wish they'd do the same for Plentiful Harvest and (if it is indeed the case here) for master writ values.

    Yes.

The master writs 'awarded' during the event have the voucher yield doubled.

Is not that you are getting double the vouchers when you hand in the quest, the master writs themselves have double the vouchers, you can see it on the tooltip.

For instance a provisioning master writ that has a voucher yield of 2 will show 4 in the tooltip.

Quoting myself from another topic on the same subject:
Master writ dropped during the event:

Master writ dropped prior to the event:

So the master writs are dropping with double writ vouchers during the event. You will not get double vouchers again when you turn them in, that would make it quadruple vouchers.

    Ok,

So the language nerd in me is getting plenty annoyed about this:
+100% Writ Vouchers earned from Master Writs created during the event

If they had have used the word DROPPED or phrase LOOTED AS A REWARD FROM CRAFTING WRITS then that is much clearer.
I created the item for the master writ, so although it is tenuous when you read super carefully, I created the master writ as instructed. The word "create" is used in the announcement, and it is very misleading. I shouldn't have to "read carefully" anything past the T&Cs, this is a game of magic, mayhem and fun, not "read everything carefully because we want to make your life a misery"

Instead, this (we presume not deliberate) vague wording mislead quite a few people - myself included - and has influenced and generated activity that otherwise would not have been undertaken; I have three guilds with a few dozen people who are all pretty cheesed off at this. Some have crafted full inventories and started quests and are now stuck with nowhere to go, as most of them really wait for a different type of event to do Master Writs.

@ZOS_GinaBruno, this has got quite a lot of people out of kilter, many of them not on the forums (Two of my Discords have blown up deluxe). This sort of thing needs to be addressed.

Hi all, seeing some of the comments here. There is no intention to deliberately mislead anyone. If there is a better way to word this that would make things clearer to you and your communities, please note that here. Just a one line you would replace with, "+100% Writ Vouchers earned from Master Writs created during the event".

We can take that to the team and see if we can make a change or wordsmith something to a similar effect to clarify this. As it seems we could have made things clear.
