nice event but poorly timed

i spent several days at the beginning of this week and i did over 220 maps for resources and chests and i did a bunch of crafting writs for vouchers also b4 that. I mean i guess i still have crafting writs like alchemy and enchanting but those are kinda tedious and i dread doing them.

what a missed opportunity it is for me that i had no idea this event was coming up.

Same here man!!! Same here!!! This event should have been put in the Official Event Post. I just recently turned in several gold Master Writs. I could have gotten that Transmute Station with this double earnings by now.The developers should compensate me by giving me that Transmute station for free.

It looks like the double reward is only applied to writs you earn during the event, so it wouldn't have mattered if you saved up your older ones.

Is that one splash screen that you only get the first time you log-in to the game after the event has started the only documentation we're going to get about this event?

    No article?
    No feedback thread?

    @ZOS_Kevin

eta: oops. I only just now realized you can click on that little image of the event in the bottom left of the Character Selection screen and it will maximize it back to splash-screen size.
(the cursor doesn't react to it when you mouse-over it, which is why I never tried to click on it before.)

Yeah ZoS going radio silent on this event after it was mentioned in the crown store showcase was a mistake.
They only mentioned the MYM event so many of us figured the crafters was cancelled.

They don't want us saving up stuff for the event though, cause some players like myself would do thousands of master writs during it.
Unfortunately I did most of my writs the last few weeks, netting about 40k vouchers.

If I had known about this event I could have gotten 80k, enough for another set of grand master stations.

I’m more upset about using all my transmutes after the Cyrodiil campaign ended at the start of the month recreating gear. Now I have none left and it’s half cost…

I really wish events were broadcast better. I feel punished instead of rewarded now because I can’t take advantage of something I needed.

This is the first time we were doing the event and was supposed to be a surprise event, which is why we waited to say anything. Also this benefits of the event will only apply to new writs generated during the event. So there would been no benefit to the stockpiling your writs.

This was an issue with the event that we discovered today and impacted the article. The timing of it is unfortunate, but out of our hands, at least for the article being updated. We're actively working to get the article up as soon as possible.

Yes, quite see what you are saying but for those of us, & I'm one!, who have only just completed a complete new build and used numerous transmutes this is kinda frustrating.

Nonetheless, the sentiment behind such an event is very much appreciated.

But it wasn't exactly an issue though, was it? It was working exactly as the system has always worked. Reconstructing an item when you possess the entire set costs 25 normally or 12 with this event buff. Deconstructing a reconstructed item returns 25 transmutes.

A pretty massive oversight by the event's team, at the very least.

That's not an "issue", that's the event working exactly as planned and announced, how is that an "issue"?
Also, it's kind of crap that the event info screen tells people -50% item set recreation cost, when that's not the case. Went to make some sets for my characters that I had been waiting on, because it was supposed to be cheaper, had to come dig around in this post to find out why they cost more than I expected.

The fix is that this doesn't work anymore because reconstructing for 12 crystals and deconstructing for 25 of them was not intended, even though everybody instantly realized that this is how the system works.

@ZOS_Kevin What about if I deconstruct old gear, will I only get 12 for it?

And what if I reconstruct gear now but then deconstruct it at a later date? Will I get 12 back or 25, and be at risk of unintentionally exploiting?

We really need some confirmation around whether or not the ban hammer is coming out before we participate.

Why not make fix with reconstructing for 12 crystals and deconstructing for 12?

I'd guess because there's no easy way to check when an item was reconstructed, so this would also make items that cost 25 only return 12, which can be a huge loss for everyone. Especially since it would need to stay this way long term, because people can decon the items they just made in months from now if they want to.
