I very much like the new auto exp bonus for events for everyone online during the event.

I have no fondness for witches fest and years past i never used those cauldron thingys so i never got exp buff. this year i get exp buff all the while ignoring the witches fest and just doing normal stuffs. very nice to have exp buff.

I also think it's good for below level 50 pvp, where it is known that some players play there exclusively, making it hard for new players to benefit from playing pvp due to it being crowded out by highly experienced players. This auto exp buff means that those players who camp thee will level their toons out faster whether they want to or not OR they will have to play less or not at all during events to prevent them from hitting level 50. While it's not everything i'd hope for it is a help. Maybe one day below level 50 cp could be returned to noobs to figure it all out. one can hope.

Bg is such a pain sometimes because i feel like its this vicious cycle where newer pvp interested players get so discouraged because they always face op players since the hardcore crowd is the majority. They give up and the pvp player base never expands so that is just a cycle.. its a shame really.

I can understand the reasoning if you play a handful of characters, but someone like me who is an altoholic with 20+ characters, the On Use exp buffs I like as I can use it whenever I get around to the next character. I may play up to 12 characters in one day, I certainly can't get to all of them except on weekends. Having the exp buff long after the event is over is another plus, refreshing in the final hours so I keep 2 hour exp buff active until I jump on that character to play. Especially good when I decide to do my mass bulk crafting dailies, combine that with 100-150% exp scroll with them logging for 2-3 minutes at a time, it's going to last the entire 6 weeks.

I agree. Although we'll have to getting used to the bonus now being passive and therefore the absence of any ui-indicator, in the long run it's the most convenient solution possible.

Overland difficulty scaling is desperately needed. 9 years. 6 paid expansions. 24 DLCs. 40 game changing updates including One Tamriel, an overhaul of the game including a permanent CP160 gear cap and ridiculous power creep thereafter. I'm sick and tired of hearing about Cadwell Silver & Gold as a "you think you do but you don't" - tier deflection to any criticism regarding the lack of overland difficulty in the game. I'm bored of dungeons, I'm bored of trials; make a personal difficulty slider for overland. It's not that hard.

You actually see fights in under 50 PvP, all I see is Pvdoor and once in a while maybe another player. lol
    Exaggerate much?

The lack of a visual indicator for an active buff is what bothers me. Passive XP buffs are fine and dandy as long as I can tell what's active and what's not. Lately indicators have been somewhat of an issue in general, wether they be visually or auditive.

It's such a simple thing, I figured it'd be a standard for online games.

I dont like this change at all. I used to buff my alts who do crafting writs so they would get bonus exp while doing writs in between events. Or have my actives have bit of buff for grinding on mobs.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

    Greetings,

After further review we have decided to move this thread to a category we think is more appropriate for this topic, as it's related to events.

    Thank you for your understanding

I prefer the boost to be active and showing, I just don't feel its a plus not being able to see it for myself or see how it is affecting my characters leveling. I dont know why they changed it. If you are going to make bonus xp a feature of an event, at least make it a noticeable feature.

I also like seeing it on my crafters after the event has finished, its a little bonus.

Yep. Exactly. 100% This change is a complete bummer. It punishes those of us who were creative and used the holiday benefit to its fullest extent. :'(
