LOL. Meant to say mace. Good catch.
And still. The choices are there for a reason and over time Zenimax has significantly reduced the odds of getting what we want.

But the point is it doesn't matter which your character has in their hand because there is no statistical difference in any way using a sword, mace, axe or dagger for a S&B setup. You could still appear to have whichever you think suits your character by equipping that style at an outfit station.

Different weapons have different passives. There is a reason why DPS people grind kinras daggers and aren't satisfied with an axe, for example.

Sounds like a golden opportunity to expand the 1H & Shield Passives a little.
Some of us do dmg with S&B so it would make sense that different weapons could have minor dmg bonuses. Def an opportunity there for improvement.

If they want a [insert name of next arena here) S&B mace, but one does not exist there is no way to get that style in the outfit station. It would be bad form to force players to obtain every style for an item before they can use it but make an exception for one type of weapon in only one instance.

as long as a damage bonus comes with a reduction of survival that comes from the skill line. I have no issue with my S&B being weak on the damaging side since it's core purpose is to increase survivability.
