What minigame do you want for next expansion

A collection of ideas from this post I am all for:

    —Jousting in High Isle

—Fishing as a skill + some new CP in Craft tree

    —Pet battles

—A furnishing item where you can grow up to 3 alchemical plants INCLUDING mushrooms - 12 or 24 hr respawn after attaining lvl 50 Alchemy

—Underwater content (eg. sunken Thras, Yokuda, Lyg)

    Including…

    —None whatsoever

@ZOS your playerbase gives you TONS of fantastic ideas which could keep us hooked on the game for months if not years (“here, take my money” thing). And yet, you spend some time on (largely needless) changes. Some of them were great to be sure, but…

Anyway ZOS, listen to your playerbase and do what you do best.

PS. I have my doubts BUT I love being proven WRONG

Are you familiar with home furniture items that are gaming. Sometimes I craft such furniture. These are "Solitude Game, Blood-on-the-Snow", "Alinor Gaming Table, Punctilious Conflict". If we develop mechanics and tactics for these items, and then make the items activated, then we will get mini-games that correspond to the lore of the game.
I also came up with: a mini-game hacking the Dwemer mechanism - and to it a new class of fighter "lord of Dwemer mechanisms"

    More mini-games? Please no.

And... Success? Probably the same amount of Legends 1.0, which has died for some reason.

None, if I wanted to play a 'mini game' I wouldn't play ESO.

I enjoy the game for what it is and while I did enjoy ToT when it came out the novelty wore off fast and I would rather just enjoy the game and do a dungeon/pvp/trial etc.

I would rather the team just expand current content and add new areas/quests/dungeons.

I don't want this game to go the same way ARK Survival Evolved did where they had a fantastic game and then released expansions full of 'mini games' with little actual new content to do in the game.

Sigh, would so much rather there be more quest and dungeon content, and that combat balance not a soup sandwich afterthought with almost no internal testing and pawned off on the PTS a quarter after an expansion.

How is Tales of Tribute a success? Last I checked barely anyone cares for it and most of the players who somewhat did dropped it after learning the leaderboard rewards were not worth the effort.

Then of course you have the awful balance issues and poorly designed patrons like Orgnum which so far hasn't received any changes on PTS. (mostly like because they're planning on redesigning this deck in Q4?). But yeah at the end of the day Tales of Tribute isn't too bad for the most part but calling it a success is a bit of a stretch. High Isle is probably a huge taint in ESOs reputation. There hasn't been a single positive update this year so far.

Risk, based on the Tamriel map and players being the various races.

Of course, I have not played ToT since the first week as I did not find it interesting and playing other games is not why I play ESO.

Not one single visual update since 8 years, we're still roaming around with flappy annoying thing and small angry monkeys.

Despite what people say, ToT queue is still much quicker than dungeon queue :D People might not admit it but the card game got more popular than what most forum users whant to belive.Back to topic, I would love to see a year of quality of life improvements rather then new content, but if I would have to choose I would probably go with something what could be done in players homes, could be fishing minigame, tabletop or just something what can give people reasons to visit their homes other than trial dummies or set crafting stations.
    Total ESO playtime: 8325 hours
    ESO plus status: Cancelled
    ESO currently uninstalled.

Okay, here's the pitch! (please don't take this TOO seriously.. lol)

    THE GRAND MUSEUM OF TAMRIEL!!!

[I'm thinking a little bit like the museum in Animal Crossing, with our beloved Blathers :D .]

So basically everybody starts with an empty museum - similar backstory of AC, some High Elf or Imperial Curator collecting archives and samples for the future history.

The museum comprises of different "wings":

    * THE GRAND LIBRARY - Where all of your collected books and notes can be read
    * THE ARMORY OF RELICS - Where all of the amour sets you have collected are on display, and you can walk around. I'm thinking like what we had in Skyrim where we could have wall plates that would mount shields and weapons and manekins that would wear the armor sets we had collected. Maybe a bit of a lore plaque to read through for some items.
    * THE GRAND AQUARIUM - Where we could look at all the different types of fish we had collected
    * THE GRAND ZOO - Where we could keep different harmless animals and insects we could collect and keep in the zoo on display
    * THE GRAND BEASTIARY - Where the more dangerous animals / creatures we have slain could be mounted and on display (again I'm thinking similar to Skyrim's trophy room from the Hearthfire expansion.)
    * THE ARCHIVE OF CURIOSITIES - Maybe certain curiosities from quests could be put on display, like Meridia stones or Deadra hearts, Dragon Teeth, things like that....
    * THE GRAND BOTANICAL GARDEN - Have on display collected plants that we had gathered from our alchemist adventures (again, I'm thinking of Skyrim's Archmages quarters in the College of Winterhold - I always thought that looked awesome! - until I collected everything from it lol)

Anyway, just for poops and chortles... !

The whole reasoning for charging players (including Subscribers who would have otherwise gotten the zones/trials for free with ESO+) cash for the Chapter was that it adds new features to ESO. Not just "value added" to existing features like more Mythics or more Companions or more card to ToT.

I don't have a problem with a new minigame, so long as its priced accordingly. But since ZOS thinks that this is appropriate:

$40 Morrowind (new class, new PVP mode)
$30 Summerset (Jewelry crafting, Psijic Order)
    $40 Elsweyr (new class)
    $40 Greymoor (Antiquities)
    $40 Blackwood (Companions)
    $40 High Isle (Card game)

With that pricing, I can pretty much guess that ZOS will try to charge $40 for whatever minigame they tout as the new feature for their Chapter. And I'm sorry, but a minigame is not worth near as much as new class or even new skill lines.

Maybe if they charged $25-30 cash, I'd consider it. As it is, I will be buying High Isle on sale or even waiting til next year when I can effectively get it and the next Chapter for half off. Because with ZOS' current trend of trying not to add much in the way of new systems, I'm pretty sure that next year's Chapter is going to be heavy on the mythic item/companion filler and light on the actual new feature front. Its probably not going to be worth $40 on its own either.

Mount Racing was spoken about during QuakeCon 2016 so a fully fleshed out mount system would be nice but I feel they will probably never go back to update old systems and will just bring new ones.

Candy Crush. That's the direction it's going.

I vaguely remember waaaaaay back in the day, someone made a WoW UI mod to let people play a 'match 3' game while they were waiting for queues/etc.

No more minigames, please. I'd rather play TES.

But this isn't TES, it's an MMO. The next TES doesn't come out for quite a while still. :|

Agreed, particularly as it was pretty obviously set up in the hopes for scalable monetization - but is currently even rougher than the combat patches on PTS.

As it stands I’d pay double ESO+ cost to have a direct path to content put out by writing/encounters team without having to wade through and subsidize the bad ideas of a big part of the rest. It really is a shame the former has to carry the latter on their back.

I play ToT a lot BUT I only do the npc dailies, I discovered very quickly that I disliked playing real people. The main reason being with npc's you can answer the phone, go make a drink etc(no time limit on turns) and as far as can see the rewards are the same, heck the npc loser's coffer isn't much worse!

However I don't believe such games should be the selling point of the once yearly PAID content!!

A new class or new skill lines should be top of the list and also a zone that takes more than a couple of days to complete would be really good. 🙄

It's pretty absorbing even as many times as I've played it now (well, see - I still play Skyrim and Oblivion, along with ESO). The newer versions of LotD are much expanded but I still play the LE version of Skyrim, not rebuying the newer versions. My install from about 5 years back now is rock-solid, and I refuse to mess with it for that reason.

Let there be something where you can plant alchemy ingredients and harvest a few every X amount of days or whatnot. I swear that kind of thing was in Skyrim when they introduced housing in there.

I always wanted to grow some 'shrooms in ESO, thanks. Especially since mushroom alchemy ingredients never show up in the alchemy surveys. It would be nice to have a random other way to just farm some.

And ngl, it would be cool to have a whole garden of Nightshade in my house too.
