Funny, it says I participated in this thread, but it doesn't show, at least for me, what I said.
It appears to have been removed, but I didn't get a message - I had made a joke about sunflower farming, based on all of them they had in High Isle...... one would almost think I hit too close to the mark.
Dice game and darts maybe but only added as QoL, not a a main expansion feature.
Or maybe a drinking game?
They were always fun in the old Rockstar games.
What minigames? How about a properly working main game that doesn't crash, boot out, lag, have memory leaks, reset fights for no reason, desync, drop block or otherwise glitch? That would be a wonderful addition.
I did not sign up for Tales of Tribute when I started ESO and I still disdain ToT even with all the achievement points in it. It's not fun, it's boring and a huge time waster for too little reward.
Even fishing is so boring I was only able to get all the fishing achievements by watching videos and streams on second monitor.
I think them having a jousting arena in High Isle yet not allowing jousting was a huge lost opportunity.
Also like the fishing tourneys idea.
But...
I would really love to see Mount Racing. But utilize the coding similar to what they use in the "Patron Choosing" phase of ToT and a tweak to another existing system (waypoint markers).
Player invites friend(s) to "Race"...
Either random "game chosen" player or initiating player sets "Beginning and Ending" waypoint places on the current zone map, and the other player(s) set up to X number of marker waypoints that must be crossed before the finish line. This could be adjusted for up to however many people ZOS decided would be able to race at once. (If two player race - max of two intermediate waypoints, If three or more players - one each, etc.) There a couple of quests already in game where we are tasked with racing through race markers, so this bit of code also already is in game.
Since the setting of waypoints and the ToT (back and forth choosing patrons) codes already exist in-game, and we would just be using existing zone maps, this seems like it would be a fairly easy add. They would just need to code for allowing multiple waypoints to be set in game and to create a "new compass" icon (or different colors or numbered), etc. that could be used as guidance while racing to markers.
Due to it's random player point selection nature and ability to be done in any zone, no two races would ever be the same, making it seem fresh and different every time you raced (even if you raced back to back with different people a couple of times in the same zone).
Bonus points for adding...
A gold sync in the form of an "option" to allow each of us to bet on "ourselves" to win (set limit per day similar to fencing).
Allowing host to set mount "types" or Free-for-all.
Allow for choosing time of day/night race is set in.
Not exactly minigame, but.. hunting. I guess it can be nice and easy to implement, just put some specific restrictions (like a quest of Eastmarch). It can be developed to many possibilities (luring new bosses, special mats, new furnishings, new food, etc).
Maybe tavern brawling could work. Have NPC's in each tavern that we can get in a brawl with, or challenge other players. No fighting with weapons, they could introduce bare knuckle boxing - hand to hand combat mechanics.
Really scary looking huge fish hunting. I want to be captain Ahab of "Moby ***" in Tamriel.
Buy my own ship which has dwarven technology super powerful engine, and go to the ocean.
But before that, must remove Stupid Slaughter-fish from the water area.
Very please.
My playing time Mon-Friday UTC13:00-16:00 [PC-NA] CP over2000 now.

Farewell Atsuko Tanaka...(-_-) I never forget epic acting for major Motoko Kusanagi.
This by a long shot. They could work it in as part of a mounted combat upgrade that adds polearms like lances, glaives, and hallberds. Hell knows it'd be fun to do a cavalry charge en masse in cyrodiil. It could be tied in with mount stamina and a balance feature so if you're unseated you get stunned temporarily as a high risk/high reward feature.
I'm surprised to see so many against additional minigames which are optional side content that doesn't affect the overall game unlike the quarterly combat changes.
Having new servers which should hopefully combat the latency and other issues we've had for years would be nice. However, there is a global shortage for their component. Despite Microsoft backing, they still can't get new servers and that shows just how serious this shortage is. But this is a conversation for another thread
Introducing mini games into an MMO is a fantastic idea. Saying that though, rather than a mini game this time, I think I would like it if they added more house functionality. Specifically, a farming system for our homes so that we can grow our own alchemical ingredients, provisioning ingredients and maybe chuck some kind of rune farming thing in too.
Something that makes housing and crafting / gathering feel more engaging.
Struggling to find a new class to call home. Please send help.
Would love it if we could critter collect, and each critter collected(killed) allows us the ability to add a special something to our gear. We can set this by selecting the critter effect we want from collections, and change it there as well. Scorpion adds a poison effect to your weapon, so you no longer have to equip poisons. snake adds +10 stamina to armor gear. Bunny adds +1% movement speed to boots. Mudcrab adds +10 armor to all armor pieces. Etc.
I want a mini game for sure. One where I can use a weapon of my choice to go kill some monster type baddies. Maybe throw on a piece of armour or two, and perhaps the ability to cast a spell or something like that. You think they might go for it? It’s certainly not in game now so… fingers crossed.

None. We don't play a mmo so we can do mini games, I'd rather have resources spent on addressing game issues and SEPERATING PVE AND PVP.
I don't care if it is a different department, it is resource allocation.Try having multi-skilled people if that is a problem, but fix the major problem causing balance issues
