Think would be possible for the Shadow color scheme Black/Purple for Nightblade skills?

Always wanted to try nightblades but always bothered me that the skills were colored for Vampires and not the actual shadow colors which is Black/Purple.

And this is the current Nightblades

Not asking to change the colors but was wondering if it could be an optional feature.

I could see it. I don't mind the colors as they are, but hey, could be cool.

Make the magicka morphs purple and leave the stamina morphs red. That's how I would do it.

If you make the effect deep purple, can we rename incapacitating strike “smoke on the water“

Maybe with, you know, a little musical intro…

tbh, kinda weird they never did that. I always thought they made Nightblades as a filler for vampires.

Originally there was some kind of niche filling ZoS did for each class, if I recall, to give them identity. Later on, more things were added and identities changed (Sorcerer was originally the "necromancer" type summoner of the classes, but later on they released the standalone Necromancer class, for example), so some older classes lost a bit of their uniqueness in flavor. OP I think is feeling a bit of that loss of identity now, perhaps. Especially with NBs getting hit with so many gameplay nerfs for so long, which plays into class identity. An identity refresh could do wonders for NB (and probably other classes too).

My favorite class is nightblade and my favorite color is purple. I'd love it. Purple for mag and red for stam is cool as well. I'd also like the shade model to have a visual update but that's a different topic.

    Ah alrighty.

I sorta feel like loss of idenity just because its labeled as Shadow magic even though it's visuals mimic Vampire/Blood magic.

Class skill recolours and skins would be awesome one day, and I like the idea for purple (or a dark teal) for nightblades.

But the nightblade skills aren't coloured for vampires. Players could be vampires at launch, so they weren't a "filler" for vampires. Verandis (vampire) uses really cool purple and pink magic, as well as some other vampires. When vampires use red magic, it's uuuusually blood or illusion magic, which many of the nightblade skills are.

The picture of the sload and the shrike are both using magic from Nocturnal, who seems to be associated with purple magic. I don't think nightblades are associated with Nocturnal, but I haven't read the nightblade lorebooks recently. But that would be a great theme for a reskin!

Black and red seem to be the colour of the illusion and shadow magic that nightblades use. Like the red illusionary daggers held by the nightblade you posted. I've grown to really like the way they combine black smoke and red glows in most nightblade skills to convey power and energy, but more options would be nice.

Yeah I know but you hardly see anyone use the Black/red theme besides nightmare makers or vampires.

here is someone being tortured with Shadow magic that is unrelated to Nocturnal.

I just find it weird that only players have this color scheme and no other NPC's. Also the books do talk about being a thief which is also involved with Nightingales.

Yeah, a while back they gave vampirism a big overhaul (Greymoor DLC I think?), and really went hard into the blood and drain flavor with them. Vampires always had some redundancy with NightBlades, but with all the added vampire stuff, vampire flavor seemed to overshadow NBs even more. Making NBs have a more unique identity (read: more different than vampires) I think would help with the issue at hand, even if it's just a recolor to purple (purple is top tier pick btw).

Pretty much. Recolors for magic should just be a thing as long it matches the lore like Purple shadow magic, Cold fire and Necro fire staves, etc
