hoping that add-on "Free Camera Dialogue" get's updated one day

just tried it out and it really does add a level of immersion too bad it hasn't been updated since 2017 so it is actually prone to screw up

Thanks for the Free Dialogue camera I am trying it and it looks great

I would suggest immersive interactions addon and NTcam to help immersion, the first one does delays the text of speech and the second one give you options for the camera during dialogue.

NT cam improved the experience so much, thanks! It actually feels more like I am playing an elder scrolls game!

same can be said for the Free Dialogue cam I tried it and its quite amazing, But then I ran into troubles...

Will keep trying it till I figure out a way to use it.
I will post in the ESO Ui fourm and ask if its possible to get a fix on it.

A "SEARCH" tab for the guilds..........I'm sure there are guilds specifically for Werewolf's. But I couldn't find any. A search tab sure would be useful. Also a way to "invite" friend's to your guild. Maybe a link of some sort.

What do you think would improve the current state of role play?

1- First of all: congregate players of the same language together.

We can't randomly interact with players if we don't speak the same language - let's say, at least, English, French, German and Russian. This ruined any attempt of "wild" roleplay in the open world since the release of the game.

Also, seeing foreign Real-Life languages in Tamriel is terribly immersion-breaking.
(e.g. A Dunmer is not meant to speak german while I play a Dunmer born in the same city as a french-speaking roleplayer. This does make no sense at all...)

It is a huge issue for 6 years on the EU server.
I bet it is a problem for NA Server too with Japanese, Québécois and Mexican.

So, gathering (in the same game layers) players who tag themselves for specific language would be useful as a smart roleplay layering system. I guess people who don't care for immersion would not mind to stay in the randomized layers with mixed RL languages we already have now.

Anything beyond this is mere bonus.

2- Add a "speech" emote animation each time a Player-Character use the /say channel.
    - Make it clearer this is a roleplay channel that shouldn't be used for gamer babbling near wayshrines, in the language-dedicated game-layers I spoke about above ^^

3- Find a solution for the annoying "spin" animation (client-side) and chart/bag animation (open world-side) when we use a game menu.
This breaks the current emote of the character and also it is out-of-context when we simply seek to activate collection personalities, emotes, and so on.

Dear @ZOS_GinaBruno or anyone else in the studio, please consider this thread! :open_mouth:

ESO is too casual for this, unfortunately.

As someone who's come from World of Warcraft RP I reckon a really good thing would be "RP Profile Addons", like WoW had. These allow you to write and share a detailed description of your character including several shorter blurbs you can see "at a glance". This would make things easier for people in that they won't have to describe their character in detail every time. It seems tedious. Especially for the poor vampire RPers who have to explain they're hiding their vampirism at that point xD

Waaaaay, waaaay back before Beta, there was a feature suggested that allowed players to tag themselves as RP and be placed on shards with other RP-flagged players in a preferential way.

Nothing ever came of it but I still wanna see it. More than Spellcrafting.

Laehl Direthorn - Bosmer Nightblade, Purveyor of fine Clothes, Bows and Staves
Reeza gra-Zuni - Orc Templar 'War Shaman' and Apothecary
Noemi Snowpaw - Kajiit Dragon Knight - I laugh... or I'd have to kill you.
Kitera Dreamon - Breton of The Dominion: Because those Daggers don't appreciate a great Mage.
Lysara Shadowcroft - Dunmer Bloodmage: This will only hurt a lot.

A screenshot mode for console players. I found a terrific waterfall with a meditation mat that had already been set up, had my Dunmer character kneel on it because it seemed like the right thing to do...and then I couldn't get a good angle of him to screenshot. The camera is only ever at the same distance from your character and there's nothing you can really do about it.

I know the question is how can Zenimax help, and I like some of the suggestions very much, but I think the role playing community is lacking some. This isn't a put down, as I am part of the problem myself for sure. However, so many say they wish to roleplay more, but are waiting on someone else or something else to fulfill that role. I think we have all the tools that we need, the role players, myself included, need to step up. I see that on all the MMO's that I play, like we are all waiting on something. Again, me included.
I am not talking about guilds here, I am sure they have some great ones, I am talking single players. We need to just do it, and stop waiting.

With that said, something to tag us as role players would be most excellent.

Roleplaying friends, an addon for viewing character profile info while playing ESO has finally arrived! RP Profile Viewer can display biographical information as well as character images within the ESO game client, similar to WoW's popular TRP addon. The only catch is that you will need to maintain your character's profile information on https://eso-rollplay.net/. It also requires the use of a TTC-style downloader program (source here).

    FVnvMq7.jpg

The addon can be found under the Roleplay category in Minion, or you can visit its ESOUI page for more info: https://esoui.com/downloads/info2959-RPProfileViewer.html

Well, since I know about some messages like "If you don't want to see other players than go play Skyrim", I'd like to express the idea that there should be an option to hide other players in a small radius where you have to talk to somebody and especially listen to somebody or follow somebody.
I was really lucky to be the only one at the moment when Nords, Dunmers and Argonians were dealing the Ebonheart Pact in Skuldafn. I just don't stand these stupid players who don't even bind "Toggle Run/Walk" button, who always run like crazy. But I can't blame them since I play on a "high speed" myself sometimes. And I'm fine with it in a big city since, well, it's a big city. But when I'm listening to some characters and finding them in situations where they shouldn't be surrounded by many people... Well, sometimes TESO should throw away it's "O" and be just "TES".
Even though TESO is a great game, it suffers from continuity issues that may hurt narrative experience and confuse lore-caring players. If we want TESO to be a decent exemplar in The Elder Scrolls series, these problems need to be fixed. Please, acknowledge with this information more in this thread. Thank you.

BANDITS USER INTERFACE - Version 4.298 or older
    • Has A Khajiit Mode which makes other players invisible to you! The way this AddOn works, is it makes the new players coming into your current zone invisible. The ones already there will still be visible until they leave that zone and come back. You will also still see some effects of the players even if they are invisible to you.
To start making other players invisible click on the "VanishPlayersDesc" side menu button: Pacrooti will appear, meaning: NEW players coming into the same zone as you will be invisible. Make sure you have the Bandits User Interface Version 4.298 or older to have that feature. Don't message the AddOn Creator asking questions, they only removed this feature because "tired of stupid questions about it". Once again, it only makes NEW players coming into your current zone invisible, you have to wait for the other players to leave your current zone for those players to become invisible

I didn't read completely through the previous 3 pgs, but I believe there should definitely be more dialogue options or available depending on race or whether you or not your a vamp or ww. There are a handful of quest that do this and I appreciate it that acknowledgement. I feel as though quest like these helps to further immerse ones character into the story:

Shatul Quest in Wrothgar (orc related)
The Runaway's Tale in Summerset (ww related)
Blood and Tears in Elsewyr (vampire related)
The Vampire's Prey in Gold Coast (vampire related)
A few necro-related quest in Elsewyr

Like others have stated in other threads, Greymoor was a huge missed point if RP as a vamp and ww. There were maybe 2-3 instances were they acknowledged your "gift", but was quickly dismissed.

I just want more of traditional TES guilds/factions, professions like in FFIV and more of RP outfits.
I think ESO does have a lot of RP features, but I wish for a bit more, like 1 step further. For me it doesn't have to be detailed too much, just more of the light staff, which could enjoy even non RPs. I don't need many skill lines or complicated main quests, but more mainly for the immersion. I guess anything else seems like too much for ZOS.

Like the previous post stated - players requested more of vampire/werewolf staff for players -like atleast lairs, taverns, where you could RP, but I don't think I saw any of that even in vampire themed Greymoor.

Maybe the problem is that there are so many roleplayers with different statements of how it should looks like, so there is never enough of voiced requests? I don't know why every MMO I was playing was ignoring roleplayers or let them use emotes only. And why RPs seems to be a problem for some people? So maybe devs are discouraged to create any light RP features? Or because RPs are not reasonable, or because some people do hate Skyrim?

    EDIT:
I started to rumble about the lack of guild/factions again, but I totally forgot about joinable guild of Scyers and Cyrodilic collections, also there is the giant Psijic order. I played it, enjoyed it really, love them, and then totally forgot about it. I own ZOS my apologies. Or maybe I should stop commenting again.

In other games, most RP players get to know each other through guilds and online sites like Enjin (which would probably be Discord now). This is no different than players interested in PvE raiding.

However, in other games, I have seen the game permit players from joining the same phase in a particular zone. In one they would have a huge RP gathering a bar in Nar Shaddaa which was one of the few zones that permitted a very large number of players to enter. This probably want a long way to foster an actual RP community and sense of community.

This was made possible because we could change instances and choose which one we wanted to enter. In ESO we can only group up to 12 and use travel to the player to get into the same instance and that is pretty much too much trouble, along with ESO probably has small caps per instance.

I am not an RPer but have RP friends since some are good raiders. I always thought these gatherings and what was possible were fabulous.

When a quest calls for escorting an NPC any distance overland, my elf is going to ride her horse. Have the NPC either double up on the back of the character's mount or cause the NPC to summon and mount their own ride (just like companions do).

Not so good: "Hey, I know I'm escorting you because you are defenseless or wounded but try to keep up as you stumble along behind me while I'm riding my mare."

Much better: "I'm going to ride. Join me up here so we can move more safely and quickly."

Some quest options that acknowledge the group role you have slotted. My elf is a pretty darn good healer.

Not so good: "My mother is ill. Can you go comb the forest for some special herbs so I can make her a healing potion?"

Much better: "I see the glow of a healing staff on your back. Might you be able to help my sick mother with your healing?"

That would be awesome. Also if they would add RP channel, because some players may be sensitive to non immersive spam.
