Take a screenshot of your character in the character load menu before you log in. Then in an image editor you prefer, (I use GIMP), use the Line Select tool, pick a spot on your character and start tracing along the entire edge until you've come back around again, selecting just the character. Copy the selection, then open a new file in the editor making sure the background is filled with Transparency. Then paste. Save the new image of your character as a .PNG. That format keeps the transparent background. Repeat for all of your characters, then in another new file with a transparent background, drag and drop all of your characters in one by one, they should be added as their own Layers. Then you can position them as you want with each other. You can decide who stands in front of or behind each other by ordering them in the Layer list.

Be warned, this method really started to stiffen and hurt my mouse hand, and I only did four characters. I know a lot of you guys have maxed character slots, so, rest your hands periodically during the tracing part. Unless you're more savvy and know an easier way.

I did a quick test with the Magic select tool in Paint 3D (which comes standard with Windows I believe). It performed surprisingly well. Just take a screenshot of your character, then use the tool to select a box around your character and it cuts it out for you to copy paste elsewhere (I put these two on a blank page in Paint, which should also be standard with Windows).

Also for this, I just grabbed two pics quickly but it will look better if you start with max settings, evenly lit photos (the right one was taken during in-game night so it looks bad). The Magic select tool also did a pretty good job with the lightning effects around my sorc's hands but couldn't capture the dark purple wisps of her bound armaments armor against a dark blue nighttime background. Otherwise, my argonian's horns got a little cut off but that could probably be fixed by fiddling with the tool some more (this test took only a minute), or resorting to tracing them back in by hand before copying the character out of the background image.

I hope this helps you all not get hand cramps. I really liked your group photo ArchMikem and will definitely make one for my characters when I get a chance
Edit: Also good to mention that if you keep the background transparent like Arch said, they'll appear properly cut out when linked here. I just did a white background for the quick n easy test.
