Should “bombing” be removed?

People especially hate being killed from stealth because it feels like there's nothing you can do about it. The best counters to stealth kills, including bombs, happen 20 minutes earlier when you're at your gate camp, or earlier than that when you're making your build. If you can't be bothered, now and then you're going to die for it.

Get up and fight the next fight.

This would be true if vicious death-set didn`t exist, but it does. I could have very survivable legit pvp-build more than capable of surviving all of bombers initial burst, but if players near me does not, vd procs gonna kill me regardless of my build.
There is ways to help allies stay alive, but it just so happens these days that of 100 allies I could only help max 11, meanwhile all the rest 89 allies could still kill me with their weak builds leading to vicious death explosions while I can`t help them survive. Fun isn`t it? Player next to me.. wearing same color.. fighting for same objective.. can damage me upon death, but I just can`t support that "ally" to prevent death that could also lead to my death...

Oh yeah, the devs cued that up for MYM this year. Almost like they didn't think that change through to its completely predictable outcomes.

I'd pay well to see a bomb take down 101 people. B)

Spread out. Block when you’re stationary and in part of a blob. If you are running with 100 people and complaining about the ONE counter to a blob that big, you’re a bigger threat to balanced pvp than the bomber.

No matter how much I curse when I get hit by one, it should probably stay. They get a bunch of kills all at once to make up for the long waits doing nothing but staying hidden. I wouldn't go so far as to say it's hard to do, but it's frustrating and often ends in some random AOE or detect pot ruining everything.

Don't bomb myself, but they are fun. They also teach us a valuable lesson about social distancing

Yes this scummy "gameplay" needs to be removed asap bombing takes no skill and just used by people to troll people trying to actually pvp.

Funny I think I have seen you somewhere...yet you voted yes so I must have remembered wrong.

Did you read the comment I was commenting? That guy claimed that dying to bombers is learn-to-build issue, but I disagreed with that due existence of vicious death. Even very tanky builds die if theres enough vd procs nearby.

Spreading and blocking works well if people are flipping resource flag, I can`t remember last time getting bombed there, but not so much when it`s time to repair front door of a keep, repairing drops block and space is limited there.

And no, lol.. I don`t run with 100 players, in fact, during my years in eso pvp, vast majority of time I`ve been fighting outnumbered, not with the bigger side. It was just poorly worded attempt to remind and demonstrate that there`s so many players out there we can`t support and preserve to reduce chances of them ending up as sources of vd procs. For example, just one good healer with gossamer could make the difference and prevent those allies repairing that front-door from ending up victims of a bomber, these days it`s just not possible unless they are all part of same ball-group.

I`m not against bombing per say, it`s legit play-style and requires far more skill than many here think it does, but I`m against all these changes zos has made to rule-set that prevent players from supporting each others unless they are grouped. It simply makes set like vicious death extremely unfair if "ally" next to me can cause my death by dying to vd-user, but there`s nothing I can do to prevent that death.

Tl;dr: Bombing is fine, but ungrouped players in cyrodiil need to get access to cross-healing, support-sets and barrier again.

All the people whining about it when all you have to do is 1) not stack on a flag 2) throw down aoes consistently if your on a ram 3) if you see abunch of people stacked repairing a door, then instead of also stacking with them to repair a door, throw down aoes(im sorry youll miss out on the tiny bit of ap you get from door repair, but someone needs to be smart enough to do it). Like i feel like caltrops was literally designed for things like this. Slot it and use it

No. It’s a good zerg deleter. And it’s a one-gimmick sort of play. They bomb the group, get their AP, and just die 98% of the time. And there’s counterplay. Like NOT standing in a large blob at a resource flag or transit shrine. And a sorc can just negate them/curse them. And it’s one class that pretty much does it alone. And a very specialized build.

No. Nightblades are annoying and 99% of them play in the most cowardly ways possible when you aren't even talking about bombing and I wouldn't want to see them lose the ability to do that.

Although I do think cloak should not work for so many seconds after the NB makes an attack. I think it should be used for stealthing into strike, not for running away over and over just to keep trying to sucker punch the same person you failed to kill all those times. Although there are enough counters to cloak in the game that it's not a hill I'm willing to die on for the idea.

If you don't like bombers though, use skills to counter it, have someone in your group put revealing flare down if you are stacking on a flag or to repair a door or something similar. That's the benefit of being in a group - being able to run random skills that would normally be too hard for small scalers to squeeze on their bar.

Also just paying attention helps. The amount of bombing increases a lot during MM and most of the time just keeping an eye open and not stacking up when you don't have to will make most bombers fail. Only the really polished guys can really get in without noticing them preparing to bomb.

if you see a group of people near a flagg or a group repairing a door then "back off"
guys, you know its incoming during group conditions.

the Bomber almost allways ends up dead anyway.

I hate being bombed, so so much. However, I think it's kind of a cool mechanic and the people dedicated to it should get something out of it. Why take it away?

Cool indeed, but it doesn't require skill and the benefits are too good for the small amount of effort.

Doesn't matter how much skill it requires. What matters it that it is part of the overall war effort.

Anything that slows down the enemy makes sense.
